I remember on a weekday fright night (in 2009 or 10 I think) it was pretty much walk-on and whatever setting it was on was completely insane, that's the one ride on Samurai I've had that's always stuck in my mind, it's such a shame it's never like that anymore Also miss the mist in 2008 FN that was so dense it was floating up to the fasttrack booth under Colossus, I never went on any other rides apart from Loggers, Rumba & Flying fish (as I was a scaredy then) but the atmosphere around the ride that night was great

Haven't they already taken the full blame? I already just assumed that meant it was human error and they know it was their fault

Scrapping the standby queue just isn't realistic, I know I rely on my phone for train times to get home so will most likely need it to be off for most of the day to save battery.. I just don't think expecting every group of people to have to rely on their phones to get on rides is realistic at all no because if the rnr queue is longer you can ride flats etc in the meantime instead of standing in a physical queue

Ian's not playing down her injuries he's just saying positivity is definitely going to be a key factor in helping the poor girl recover mentally?

It really is horrible that she's now got a completely life changing injury I really don't think the smiler should or will get closed permanently though, hydro's still open and that killed a girl

tbh I think it's too soon to open anyway considering how much the incidents still plastered all over the media

the sky one says it's because their introducing some new protocol, which would make sense that it's affecting all the rides with alot of cars

One of the things that always goes through my mind before going on a rollercoaster is the thought of us stalling and being hit by another train (I've always known it's near enough impossible but ..) although it's usually X I'm on when that crosses my mind.. Can't imagine how these people must have felt, one of the main reassuring factors for people that are scared before a ride is to tell themselves it's completely safe, so this is really devastating One thing irking me is all the ridiculous 'demonstrations' of what happened on news sites, how apparently the ride can be stopped mid-loop, also the uneducated comments saying the ride ops should be blamed when these people clearly haven't the least clue of how roller coasters work

I agree but they wouldn't have done that because for all they knew it could've been really popular and one train with 2 backwards rows wouldn't have been enough for high demand

Gonna enter and keep an eye out anyway, hope it isn't just some fan boy with a domain trying to be clever (which seems likely) if it's not then I cant wait to find out who's getting a 150ft coaster

Something seemed off with nemesis today, pretty much snailed around the rest of the ride after the zero G roll and never seemed to gain it's usual speed in the first corkscrew and into the helix, wonder why... for a split second thought we were gonna stall on the overbank into the last corkscrew (really seemed that slow)

ah well that's alright, it's the first time I ever heard about the rust thing so wasn't sure, to be fair I went the same date last year and it was running fine

Making my way up tomorrow and leaving on Wednesday, not sure which thread the thing about nemesis being closed when it first rains at the beginning of the season is in but does that mean if it's raining tomorrow it'll likely be shut?
