It would certainly be worth going earlier. I visited the event yesterday and arrived at 7, however did not get in until around 8:10. Once inside it was packed as well and we only got on two rides and had a beer (after a 20 mins queue for the bar) The event is known for getting gradually busier as we near Christmas and Saturdays are always the busiest. I would be all for skipping a previous activity.

All they need to do to make the evenings successful is offer tickets for say £15 after 4pm or something and promote it well. Back in the 90s the park used to open till midnight at times and always offered a heavily discounted ticket for the evening.

I think it looks great actually. Yes this isnt a new coaster, just a new paint job, but When the majority of recent additions to the UK have been painted white, grey or black it makes a change to have a brightly coloured coaster. The Mellors really seem to have turned the place around.

As much as I agree with you what we have to remember is many of the general public will continue to love it without the effects working. Many won't even be aware of what effects should be working or not and general public will just like the fact it has some good drops, goes backwards and gets you soaked.

Awesome evening at the preview event. XXL is brilliant and both Air maxx and Flying Circus very forceful. Flying Circus literally made my head feel under so much pressure I thought it would explode it was that intense. Makes Samurai seem like a kids top scan! Yep I agree can't see it coming back. Only the section between the crossings remain and behind Lumber Jump its been all turfed over.

With regards to Coral Reef hopefully things have calmed down by then, but every weekend so far 2 hour queues have generated and the park become ridiculously busy. Definitely a book online job and also worth doing the earliest possible time at 9:00 to avoid ridiculous queues for the slides.

Its not great in terms of "new attractions" but it is still a good lineup of rides. We have just been lucky that the last few years have had some great additions. I say lets just appreciate the fact that we have one fair in the south that has a decent lineup of rides!

Another one who agrees. An amazing game. Find myself really searching for the moons. Never thought there'd be so many. Currently at 323! Loving the soundtrack too!

I'm just intrigued to see what is meant to be happening on the other side of Mystic East. The plans only show modifications to the area around the drop and Peeking Heights location

Wouldn't surprise me. Such a disappointing move in my opinion if it turns out to be this. They have a VR attraction and don't need another! Plus it will make what's currently (most of the time) the ride with awesome throughput and quick dispatches suddenly become dreadful.
