  1. There is zero damage to anything that still exists there! Just the front carriage of the train has been removed, presumably for repair. We don't even know if it actually caught fire or just burnt out and smoked (likely the latter). It really wasn't that bad! Just wait and be patient!
  2. What RobF said! Rocky Express is almost as old. What your saying isn't logical!
  3. It's like the hotel being evacuated at 2am a few weeks back had photos of the fire engines arriving put on social media and many discussing a fire when Most modern fire alarm systems have auto dispatch of fire brigade even in the event of a false alarm and that's all it probably was.
  4. But Rocky express is also over 30 years old and you insist on that being relocated! 🤔
  5. Makes sense seeing as the other Imascore tracks are playing still.
  6. So are you saying that the park shouldn't be playing the original themes due to licensing issues? Or that they haven't continued agreements set up with ImaScore so have therefore reverted? Sorry not sure I get it?
  7. I believe a new temporary bridge from the left of the old level crossing by Samurai will take you straight to the queue line, so shouldn't require the Old Town area being used. Just the exit back towards Samurai which could all be easily cleared (they cleared the loggers queue every year anyway)
  8. TBF I agree with that. The newer station one is excellent, and as far as I am aware still exists. But the Jungle tracks that played around the Inferno queue were just too slow and calming, which didn't suit the ride IMO
  9. Intrigued to find out peoples preferences. We've had the original music back at Inferno for the last couple of seasons and now Colossus recently. Do people generally prefer the original tracks or the Imascore stuff? For me I love the Imascore stuff around admissions and the dome but far prefer the original themes at Inferno and Colossus. The newer stuff was just too calming, less atmospheric for the ride and so didn't fit as well in my opinion.
  10. @WWTPRadio I thought the original plan was that the actual rides were going to keep the original themes (I'm sure there were tweets confirming that around the time you were working on the changes), but the surrounding areas would have the newer stuff ie lost city. The newer music was not as dramatic. I welcome the change back to the originals. However at admissions, the dome and on main pathways/areas I do like the newer stuff. I am intrigued what people think and may ask for thoughts in the park music topic.
  11. Hey all, A while since we last had a meet up in 2019! As noted in the topic title the date has been set for Saturday 13th August 2022. Meet from 9:30am - 10am in the dome outside Vibes. I recommend arriving nice and early if you can as security can sometimes take a while to get through and we will not be able to wait too long. I will be checking my Direct Messages (DM) every 15 mins for the first hour for late arrivals to get in touch and arrange meet up, but be aware we may be in a queue or on a ride. Nearer the time I will recommend a time to book "Carnival in Trailers: Breakout at Bozo’s" so that we can try to get a time slot for the whole group. Other than that a very simple, chilled out day riding the rides and catching up with everyone. Should be fun! The TPM meets are always great fun and the idea is to go round as a group getting to know each other, have fun and spend time with people who share the same interests. If you have never been to a meet before don't feel put off, we were all there once. Once you get there you'll feel a part of the group straight away. If you have any queries drop me a message or comment below. Please confirm attendance below or DM me.
  12. Very strange. Can hear it around 35 mins in the TPW vlog. Is this an intentional change or just a mistake as it sounds like something used once before and they do sometimes incorrectly change
  13. Interesting decision. Whole queue area or station?
  14. Terror Tomb closed in 2001 and was replaced with Tomb Blaster which has been in the park ever since. Abdab was the name of the main character.
  15. Carnival is just an event not a new land.
  16. Big top audio park wide for the entire event confirmed! 😉
  17. Let's move it to 3 per ride or it'll be closed season again before it finishes! Angry Birds 4D Experience (3) Black Mirror Labyrinth (3) Colossus (3) Depth Charge (3) Detonator: Bomb's Away (3) Flying Fish (3) King Pig's Wild Hog Dodgems (3) Lumber Jump (3) Mr. Monkey's Banana Ride (3) Nemesis Inferno (3) Quantum (3) Rocky Express (2) Rumba Rapids (3) Rush (3) Samurai (4) Saw - The Ride (3) Stealth (3) Storm in a Teacup (3) Storm Surge (3) The Swarm (3) Tidal Wave (3) Timber Tug Boat (3) Vortex (3) Zodiac (3) Samurai +1 Rocky Express -1 (sorry Theme Park Fanatic)
  18. I think I agree with the others. Very different and both great for completely different reasons. If I had to pick though Cedar point slightly wins it. I agree with Doyle's last point!
  19. The old music played all of last season as well but oddly had half the area wrongly programmed to blast out Angry Birds in the first part of this season, though the queue has always played it this year so far. It has however recently just reverted on the exit path to the Imascore jungle mix. But yes it's a far better track anyway. Just a shame the same hadn't happened to the colossus queue too.
  20. Thorpe is a one day park assuming you get there for opening. They have a pretty dire security queue to get in which could ruin your day if not there early (I'd recommend 45 mins before opening). As long as you are in the park within the first 15 minutes of opening you can usually get on 2 or 3 rides in the first hour. Just don't head to Swarm first, that tends to quiet down significantly around 3 to 4pm as most would have done it and tend not to return to the area once done as its a dead end. Even if queues are say 50 mins each doing the above you'd manage to get on all. It's very very rare I've ever done Thorpe on a relatively busy dahly and not got on everything and a couple of rerides in a day.
  21. Great reports, Karnan looks great, shame about its reliability. Where you off to in the states? Il be out there end of May to Cedar Point and Kings Island.
  22. Prior to the pandemic we ran trips to other parks including AT, CWoA, BPB Port Aventura, Toverland and Phantasialand but with not much happening at Thorpe attendance to all meets gradually declined so for now we will just trial Thorpe meets this year. If these go well or more interest occurs we will look at other park trips for 2023.
  23. We also have the two rides opening later this year. Only shame is ALL new attractions are low capacity, but it will certainly create more rides to spread crowds than now.
  24. We will look into potentially meeting up in the summer time and possibly Fright Nights, early on in the event. Any meets we plan will be posted in similar fashion to before. Keep an eye out in the next month or two. In the mean time If you are interested in meets resuming please let me know here so I can gauge interest.
  25. Very concerning to see over the last couple of seasons the capacity reduce on Tiger Rock. Had noticed for last two seasons gaps between boats in station during loading but today was on another level with just 11 boats in operation (it has around 26). I guess in fairness the ride is well over 30 years so it could be that some of the boats are coming to the end of their life but think they need to repair or replace. Some pics from in the station...
