I was always naturally very skinny when I was younger, but from about 2005 onwards, I put on a lot of weight. I couldn't tell you how much I weighed, but my waist size was just over 34" (which is very large for a small-framed guy of 5'4"). I decided to go on a strict diet in 2010 and cut out all the crap food. These days I'm very healthy, and I feel absolutely amazing. I love running, walking, rowing...anything that keeps me in shape really. I'm very precise about my diet, too. It's not easy to stay focused in the early stages, but you already have the right mindset and sound very committed. You can do it! If you need any tips or advice, just shout.
  2. I don't know, it soon adds up once you take into account the lighting, effects, odour system and actors themselves.

^ Careful, you don't want to start that first drop debate again
  4. I'm sure everyone's heard that The Sanctuary will be leaving the park on April 14th. It's a shame, as I loved it to bits, but can understand why Alton have chosen to do away with the maze. There's a huge cost involved with running such an attraction (especially for free). Fingers crossed we'll see The Sanctuary return for Scarefest.
  5. Awesome PTR, thanks for sharing.

I think we've already established that there isn't a secret element /roll eyes
  7. Yes, but such positive viewpoints don't ensure scraps and animosity

Lol, I take it this is one dog that didn't get an iBone for Christmas
  9. A two month delay isn't too bad, considering. This isn't just some park and plonk type effort. The amount of landscaping work is immense, and it hasn't been helped by the appalling weather conditions the last few months.
  10. What are you talking about, he who shall not be named? The Smiler just gets better by the day, and has already exceeded my expectations (and those of other enthusiasts). Stop trying to find faults that aren't there.

Regular exercise in the day also helps. It doesn't have to be anything strenuous, just a simple 30 minute walk.
  13. It is what it is really. I haven't been since 1995, but am planning a big trip this summer. The woodies alone warrant a visit.
  14. Vile! I'll stick with Fresh Fish and Chips :x

You can't beat that Kelman roasted blend Yay for Mermalisation

^ If the actual Smiler game is anything to go by, the screens will feature random scenes which depict happiness and joy. Quite similar to the hypno screens in The Sanctuary's marmalisation room.

OTT? Please, this is phenomenal in every way. The ride theme is spot on; you don't control someone's mind without overwhelming the senses /roll eyes It looks like both legs on the Marmaliser are now in place

    It was bound to happen

It annoys me when online web services have to make silly changes for the sake of it. Take Photobucket, for example. It now takes around four clicks through pointless menus in order to resize one photo. The old adage is very true - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
  20. Oh, thought it might be too good to be true with regards Rita.
  21. MikeC replied to th13teen's topic in UK Attractions
I know what you mean. I wonder actually if this is the basis for the final product, and that the legs will be covered once everything's in place?

This has no doubt been posted before, but for those that haven't seen the video, here's an updated NL recreation of .
  23. It looks like Rita is back on the ERT list, as well as Nemesis Sub Terra (a new addition to the line up). Great news!

I'm seeing lots of negative feedback on Facebook about lap bars, and the colour scheme in particular. People should wait until they've actually ridden this thing before passing judgement.

I'm absolutely in love with these trains . One thing I don't get is the hate from enthusiasts. Honestly, there's just no pleasing some people.
