Slammer is currently the only operational Sky Swat in the world, the other which was Catapult at Six Flags New England, and it is now dismantled awaiting another buyer. I believe the reason for it being removed from the parks portfolio was that it's small queues didn't justify the running costs.

Surely if there was still a customer intending to buy stuff, then would it not be a good idea to keep one till open...

I actually agree with Will; I work in the same kind of place and I work my arse off trying to get the best service, and all we get back is s**t, I mean for example today someone threw their food at me becuase we where still waiting for 'x' product to be cooked, so I offered him a double of 'x' and he threw it at me. Once you've worked in a customer based environment, I can guarentee you that when you go into a shop or restaurant you will treat them with some respect. Just say please and thank you, it really isn't that f**king hard!

Just to add to what Phill's already said - TPM is a good based forum but the post quality has gone down recently; people asking questions that could be found by looking at www.thorpepark.com or using simple logic! And the repeated questions asking why a rides down - if it hasn't been posted already, it won't be, and neither will anyone want to respond if you repeatedly ask.Just my two cents, and yes for all of those observant people there, I am back Becuase I was obviously missed.

No it wouldn't... you f*cking tit!Slammer needs a the sides to be equal to within 2 people up to a total of 15 on each side, then above that the sides must be equal or it breaks the motors. Hence why the loading takes so long, as remote end has to be batched after the ride sequence has finished, as the remote attendant has to be in the remote console watching the ride.And at a throughput of 550 it isn't exactly good..

Area 3 are really good this year, dunno who but there's this tall guy in Area 3 who has a massive strip of blonde through his hair, he's quite good at his job IMHO.

For once, this man is right! Drayton is a s**thole and it's unsafe, most rides are unreliable and the place is run into the ground. They can't even run two trains of an X Car, Shockwave is rough to hell, and it's putting all this stuff like a hotel in when they need to invest in the place. Good post Will, your spot on.
