  1. On the Fastrack ticket posters is is advertised at "SAW: THE RIDE or STEALTH - £4". To be honest, I can't see why they don't just scrap these and include all of the attractions on "Single Fastrack - £3".
  2. I completely know what you mean .
  3. Yes, this adds a lot to the ride experience for me, when you get a second soaking waiting to be off-loaded.
  4. Actually it's not a fact. And could you possibly change the way you write your posts to make them come across as slightly less rude. Thanks .

    Merlin

Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed a considerable difference in the general friendliness of staff since Merlin bought Tussauds. Every time I go now, it seems that every member of staff's main priority is to make sure you have a great day. No-one ignores you, and everyone tries to do everything they can to make sure you have a memorable day, and remain happy. Which is what I love to see !
  6. I can't watch this ride. It just looks so unstable all of the time, I can't imagine how long it will take for it to just topple over.

I watched that. It's great fun.

    Britain's got talent

I was very happy that Diversity won, they are an incredibly talented group, and put so much effort into their performances. But generally, what a fantastic final! All of the acts were fantastic, and I must say that I thought that Shaheen was absolutely incredible. He's got such an amazing, powerful voice. If I were Simon Cowell, I would offer him a record deal win or lose, and make sure not to miss out on that oppertunity. As far as my thoughts for Susan Boyle go, yes she is talented, but to be honest, I don't think her voice is as strong as Shaheen for example, or Shaun for that matter.Overall, it was a fantastic series. I really, really enjoyed it.
  9. I'll agree with that.
  10. As someone mentioned earlier, if you look at the trees, it is very clear that the photo has been edited.
  11. It is surprising how much the little things can change the ride. Obviously, the ride itself hasn't changed, but you do for a second feel as though you are in some sort of volcano, not just a tunnel with some broken lights on the floor. The next thing I would love Nemesis Inferno to have on the effects front, is some form of heat beneath you. Like the same principals as a sauna, (the sort of moist heat), so when you come out of the tunnel into the fresh air, the volcanic experience will have improved the ride even more!

    Your Thorpe Park

Oh well, I suppose a positive way to look at it is that it builds up the suspense .
  13. Yeah, I have noticed that recently as well. That always used to be a great way to catch a lot of rides in the last hour or so with a minimal queue, but now everything seems packed right up until closing time. The tunnel mist and lights are still in operation, which I must say does improve the ride experience dramatically.

    Your Thorpe Park

Yes, Slammer does seem to take a long time between cycles. And it's not the efficiency of the ride team that's the problem. Usually, we are boarded and locked in and ready to go within one or two minutes of the last cycle finishing. We then sit there for at least another two or three minutes before the ride actually starts. Strange.

    Your Thorpe Park

Rush is definitely an incredibly fast moving queue-line. Last week, the team working on Rush were working incredibly efficiently, which was great to see.
  16. I agree with you there. In 2004/5, fright nights were good because the park wasn't ridiculously busy, it was just like a normal busy-ish day with queues around 30mins-1hour. I haven't been the past few years because, like you James, with it being that busy I can't see where the fun is.
  17. I think I'll go with Harry on this one, the sky is too blue to be true for England .
  18. Yeah, that's one hell of a queue.

    Your Thorpe Park

I suppose it does. But at least it is right next to SAW, so you have something remotely interesting to watch.
  20. Does anyone know how long the whole queue would take to go down, if the ride was running with two train operation? I know the smaller section of the queue takes about 30 minutes with two trains, but I wasn't sure how long the whole queue takes.
  21. I thought £5.80 per hour was pretty good. It's not exactly exploitation. And it's not like all of this extra money just goes into the mangers' paycheck. There are so many things in the park that cost incredible amounts of money. Even the small things that might not even cost as much, like the effects on rides (the mist on inferno, the squirty body on the floor of SAW etc.) don't come for free, and all of these little extra costs do add up.
  22. I haven't had to pay for late collection at all (but then again I haven't bought any ride merchandise since the end of last year). I don't know about the two for £20, but I presume not. I would guess it would be more like 2 for £24.
  23. It was, but last week there was a sign up for £14.
