    This Or That

Ripsaw Dragon's Fury or Spinball Whizzer?
  2. Maybe just throw it into the lake
  3. The lava effect can actually be achieved, realisticly. I have seen something very similar at The London Dungeons. They use a sheet, a fan and some orange/red lights and it creates a fantastic fire effect or just even dimming lights and smoke will make you feel asif you are flying through fire. Maybe adding heaters in the tunnel along with that would create a fantastic experience.Speaking of the effects, wern't they actually repaired last year?
  4. I love Slammer's soundtrack. Very atmospheric and creates a whole new level of excitment. But, Detonator's old soundtrack still my favourite. Colossus' soundtrack really bores me now and so does WWTP Radio (the songs are very limited now).
  5. Will you not be working at the park or Slammer this year, Michaela? I normally see you operating Vortex, correct? Nice idea Ryan with the police car. Perhaps they could place Jigsaw's tricycle there along with it
  6. I agree. I think everyone is forgetting about the actual ride.
  7. Wasn't it actually apart of the Stealth theme? Well, I think people will know that security is in the park with the stop and search area before you across the bridge. Face it, it has far better potential that is has now.
  8. Thanks for confirming Mac (I see that price increasing soon though). Mentioning the police car gave me an idea. They should actually crash it and place is around the queueline for Saw or dump it in the Tidal Wave water (of course so that it is stabled and there isn't no oil to pollute the water). That would be pretty cool. Also I have just remembered this is a topic for Saw, apologies for going off-topic.
  9. Well the ride in general, it's like it's being controlled by a parent with their child on the ride. The brakes kick in when they aren't even needed. Unless the carriage swining is dangerous, I don't see any reason why the carriage shouldn't be allowed to swing after it has completed it's rotations. Really, there are other ways to make this ride thrilling apart from going upside down and being teasted with the fountains. Speaking of fountains, I have never actually gotten wet on this ride. They are too afraid of getting the passangers too wet and the water hardly ever touches us. Maybe it's just wrong timing for me, but I can see a lot more potential on this ride.
  10. TimR, you claimed to see the Fastrack information on signs around the park. However, were they actually fitted into the Information & Ticket hut signs? Or did they look cheap and temperamental.
  11. Oh dear, adding Stealth in a package is going to create more queues than ever. I understand why they removed Slammer's Fastrack though, it created a lot of confusion and Slammer doesn't really get any massive queues anyway. Maybe you can only purchase Fastrack for Slammer with singles. They must have also removed the Hydration package too. I also honestly doubt that have got rid of Ultimate Fastack (I will be upset if they did, I actually brought that a lot). Maybe haven't put on a 'price tag' on it yet.
  12. Strange, I have never actually heard that being played in the park ever before. Definatly not the best soundtrack either. Sounds like a manipulated version of Star Fox's soundtrack (which is a good thing).
  13. I am pretty gutted about that. They have installed a Single Rider queueline for Stealth and Flying Fish, but not for Saw? Pretty silly in my opinion.
  14. I was actually referring to the fountains. However, the are many ways the settings could be improved (the over-powered braking ruins the ride).
  15. Looking at the entrance, I see 3 rows (correct me if I'm wrong), could this suggest Single Rider will be operating then?
  16. Awful to hear I am glad I am not going tomorrow now.
  17. Perhaps they get their information from the manufacturers.
  18. Everytime I ride Rameses Revenge, I haven't been too impressed with it's operation. Maybe I missed these 2 operators when I ride. Although, let's hope this reason, people will learn from Ripsaw.
  19. Hopefully that will never happen, so let's not worry too much However, I am sure there is enough room to store all 8 cars. I'm now wondering how many cars they would actually operate when the park isn't busy...
  20. I love every single thing about Nemesis Inferno. The theme is absolutely amazing and so is the ride. It's probably the most favourited ride so far (well I know its mine and nearly everyone I go with). Another good thing about this ride is that it really doesn't get long queues and the atmosphere is fantastic (that's why I wouldn't mind joining the queue)!
  21. I have never actually seen a coaster that operates like that, so no. I think the only reason why some of the rides have seltbelts is to comfort that passanger, knowing that they are safe. I actually remember when someone at Thorpe Park mentioned something similar to that in article regarding about the Colossus incident where the child's seltbelt wasn't secured and the mother had a panic attack and complained. I don't think rides would run any differently if seltbelts wasn't designed for it, but perhaps thats how the ride has to function such as Vortex. Indeed. Just imagine Saw running on 4 cars or something similar.
  22. Some of my favourite:- Nemesis Inferno leaving/entering the station- Colossus leaving the chain lift and in general- Stealth's launch and brakes- Tidal Wave's chain lift and splash (including going down)- Detonator dropping- Rush in general- Majority of the soundtracksI would also like to add a few sounds I actually hate:- That air-fan noise you hear at the back of Colossus (inbetween Rush and X:/ No Way Out)- Samurai's alarm- Most of the sounds that you hear from the sideshows (mainly ones that involve guns)
  23. Dragon's Fury has 4 passanger seats, whereas Saw will have 8. Although this shouldn't be a big difference as the station is longer and hopefully there will be more ride attendents checking on each side of the station. I would imagine when the ride opens, the cars will not be running as constant as you see them now
  24. I longest queue I have ever seen was Nemesis Inferno, during Fright Nights. All the queue (with all extensions open) was full and the queue was continuing out of the entrance towards The Asylum. I am guessing the queue was way over 4 hours.
  25. 1,100 passengers every hour seems to be unrealistic. However, as mentioned, there will be 8 cars running (hopefully they will manage to keep all 8 cars ready for operating) and ride attendents will not have to mess around with the seltbelts, as there aren't any. Also a point that increases loading times is guests messing around with their loose belongings and storing them, but there is a storage station before guests aboard, that might help a lot.Moving away from capacity, I am excited to hear that the blades will spin. I'm curious to know what speed they will be spinning at...
