  1. Haha didn't realize so many people from around here liked Thorpe . How Naive of me . Sutton is full of chavs now a days
  2. I should have done this before too.. But haha. Hey I'm Emily . I'm 15 and currently in year 10. I go to thorpe park avec mes amis a lot of the time. I am taking 9 and a half (the half is very important haha) GCSEs. Including photography and music & many other interesting subjects. My annual pass ran out on the 13th of March this year & I haven't yet purchased a new one.At Christmas last year, I went to florida and did all of the theme parks. IMO Manta is so much better than air, gave me a right shock haha. Also liked the dinosaur ride at animal kingdom. I will go on any ride, although my friends sadly are not as brave as me :DOh.. & I am scared & a half of the pig mask people that were at fright nights & in Saw:Alive :|. ZOMG I live in Sutton too!
  3. With regards to the holidays for schools, my school normally breaks up a week or 2 before others and I break up next wednesday, So unless the school terms are different there, I should think it wont be packed with school people
  4. I'm allergic to wasps and at thorpe and alton I always have to be extremely careful :|. Luckily when I went to Alton it wasn't wasp season but in the SAW:The Ride queue last season. It was big trouble. I had one of those refill things and realised it had leaked on to my top and at different points 3 wasps landed on my shirt and I was literally like nearly in tears about it and none of my friends would get them off :L. & everyone was tutting at me in the queue. But anyway, at Alton I like how they have the grassy area behind/next to/ somewhere near obvlivion . That was really nice to just sit on haha.

The hooded figures look quite scary! haha.

The snorting/oinking is actually so scary! At fn the pig mask guy came up behind me without me realising stuck his snout in my face and made the weird noise. You will never see somebody run that fast again haha. The worst thing they do is reaching out to touch you or actually touching you, but once you get used to them you'll be fine. They were at the top of the SAW:The Ride exit stairs on fn and they chased some people down. If you don't look scared they just ignore you, so don't tense or be like OH MY GAWSH because then they will know to go for you. It's not an actual maze just a walkthrough attraction. I really don't think you can go the way unless you go in to the changing room, or if you turn around but I wouldn't if there was a pig behind me . It will be fine honestly and if you don't like it the actors will tell you/show you how to get out .
  7. Ah thank you .
  8. Where did you take that panoramic of thorpe from?
  9. I HATE it when people stand really obviously with a camera or mobile out taking a picture of their picture on the screen! It really annoys me! I would do it if I had the guts but I think it's quite rude towards the people that work there .

Ah, thats a shame if the music's gone. I find that the most entertaining part of the ride . Vortex does look sexy with it's new colour scheme though .

  12. Congratulations

    Wow, love that advert.
  14. I know, I just didn't think it was open yet so my mind didn't click haha. By that point I wasn't really listening I was too proud of myself for going in there because it was my biggest fear . It was good though. It must really depend who tells you then. The queue was up to the station entrance the other day which is quite close to The London Bridge Experience, there were actors for it there too, and that was a half hour queue. But I guess only a little bit of an increase in the number of people in that queue could affect the queue time quite a lot .
  15. I feel so stupid now for not realising that that was the bloody mary section. :L. I was really confused when there was no part of the tour that had anything to do with the Great Fire of London. But I agree, it was good. I went on Tuesday, the main queue was 2 hours, AP queue was half an hour. I had an annual pass and my friends didn't. Don't just join a queue, ask the person at the main entrance and they should tell you to go to the annual pass queue and say it's fine to buy a ticket for your friend inside . Have fun.

But if the ride only has lap bars & not shoulder restraints then does that mean that the ride is defiantly focusing more on the psychoaster element instead of the intensity of the actual track? Edit: just realized that space mountain at Disney only has lap bars & thats still quite a good ride .

Oh wow. I wish I was 18 now haha, that sounds amazing .

Be the first to ride Th13teen!"The article also releases details of the first to ride competition being organised by the Resort, including some bizarre experiments to prove the candidate is capable of "handling" the new ride.Candidates (who must be 18 and over!) will be offered a chance to experience the ride before its grand opening on 20th March, however not before a team of "experts" (including Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid) put them through their paces in a series of "gruelling" tests, reportedly including:- A Psychometric test- Interrogation interview- 2 hr physical assessment- Rollercoaster endurance (1 hr of continuous rides on Air)- A mysteriously named ‘Midnight bootcamp’All of which is expected to take place on the 2nd and 3rd of March at the Resort.Morwenna Angove, Sales and Marketing Director at the Alton Towers Resort said: “We’re thrilled that so many people are excited about our fantastic new rollercoaster TH13TEEN but we have been inundated with requests from members of the public who want to be first on the ride. We feel this is the fairest way to choose who gets the first ride and are inviting thrill seekers across the nation to prove themselves."who thinks that this is true? & sorry I don't know how to show its taken from the mini site.
  20. But why, if he's Billy NOT Jigsaw! Anyway back on topic - is it true that the reason SAW:the ride has had so much downtime is because the track has to be a exact temperature and there has to be the right windspeed?
  21. It wasn't just to you, a lot of people make that mistake! :Pmaster iskander (If thats how you spell your name sorry!) I saw you We were just like & then it suddenly started again, did it shock you? I actually did want to get stuck though - I know that sounds silly, but it would have been cool! Loads of people were taking your picture, were you on the side closest to samurai because who ever that was was waving at people near me .
  22. Why are most people calling 'Billy' 'Jigsaw'? The doll thing on the bike & on the screens is actually called Billy, not Jigsaw. Jigsaw's head is the one in the scales on the stairs on the way out.. But yeah, the doll is called Billy.
  23. I got excited about that I was standing there like . Sitting in the front is soo fun (:. But when I looked at the restraints again I was thinking 'not very big restraints' but I guess if they were like the nemesis inferno ones it would hurt your shoulders. Am I right in thinking that?
  24. I think I might have seen you there today? :|& I was wondering what that queue was because I asked 3 people who worked there what it was. I got told by two people that the fast track queue wouldn't be open until after easter & then another person told me that they were working, but because it got too busy they had stopped selling them today. We queued 120 minutes twice :| It broke down twice the first time we queued, once for about 5 minutes, & once they stopped at the top of the (idk what to call it) lift thing for about 2 seconds, & then again when people got stuck at the top for ages & they shut the ride, did anyone see that?
  25. Yeah, I definately noticed that, stealth, Colossus & nemmie were definately faster, I'm positive. Especially on the first lift hill on both of them, it was quite painful going round the loops that fast on Nemmie. Were you there when that person threw up & they had to close it? Sorry went off topic. 8-)edit: Well obviously I can't say that they definately went faster because I don't know all the details, but I'm pretty sure, & it definately seemed/felt a lot faster.
