Tips for New Members!
Agreed, on forums in particular, you can read something and in your mind hear it as quite aggressive. Everyone on this forum that I've spoken to, is absolutely great fun and brilliant to talk to and discuss what we're all here for, Thorpe Park, Chessington and Alton Towers ( The main ones ) Usually things aren't intended as they come across.

Tips for New Members!
Recently I've noticed quite a lot of new members, a few of which have received many -1's. It's great we're getting new members but the post quality shouldn't be compromised. Therefore I thought it'd be handy for a Tips for New Members topic, where anyone can post tips or advice they think would be handy for new members to know.A few of mine:- Before anything else, read all Guidelines and rules topics- Before posting, I recommend watching the forum for a few days at least and seeing how it works, where information is, to minimize the amount of new topics where the information is somewhere else.- The obvious check, and check again spelling and grammar, just make sure it makes sense! Some of yours ?

Riding In The Dark
Out of anything, my favourite ride in the dark is Nemesis at Alton Towers. At Thorpe Park, it's Saw, that fateful time when it took 3 hours to get on in an 1 hour long queue let me experience it and it really is brilliant in the dark. Not 3 hours good though

Sorry to double post, as I said, rcdb does , very occasionally get things wrong, and they did jump the gun with the name situation. The page is now back to saying "unknown" as you can see hereIt may still be called Surrender, but I'm glad that at the moment we can think it's not- Queue Times
Much MUCH busier than that... ( I would think)It's been busier than that on Sunday's before Fright NightsAlways always always think it'll be heaving otherwise it will almost definitely put a damper on your day.- Th13teen
Agree completely!Whilst it's not a bad name, it's not good enough IMO.I will also be going during Adrenaline week and at the rate there going at the moment, there will be a lot for us to look at!- Th13teen
Not very often but they do make mistakes, They started off saying Saw had 4 inversions, and also it says Nemesis' G-force is 3 ( which would be the same as Air's... ) which is wrong as it's 4.Also, if the lift is like The Hulk's at IOA, that would be fantastic as that is pretty brilliant. This ride just keeps looking better and better.- Chessington Howl'o'ween
Thats another thing I love about Chessington, it still dies down towards the end of the day, whenever I've been to Thorpe, it's stayed busy right till 10 ( or whatever the closing time is)I tried to get to Halloween Hocus Pocus as soon as I could to try and get it at it's quietest, but the 26th I am expecting to be busy.- Chessington Howl'o'ween
I'll be visiting on the 26th if I remember correctly, and then possibly again a few days later, although I'm hoping to go to Alton's Scarefest that 2nd day as that was brilliant last year.Fingers crossed the queue's will be like the first times you reported Keith- Chessington Howl'o'ween
Awesome, I'm going for the first time since 2003 this year and I've decided to go to this after giving up on Fright Nights. In my opinion, it is TOO busy to have a good time. And also Chessington's just better anyway- Control Panels

Ha, that day was one of the best of my life If only I could do it again! Wicked , did you see me walking around on that day? If so you should have said hello! :PActually then again you would have been working and probably would've gotten in trouble.- SAW: The Ride
I hate queueing for Stealth in the main queue when fastrack is busy, Once they were doing almost one train of fastrack then one train main queue, it was diabolical.Edit: Sorry just realised how off-topic that was.I really can not wait to see how they jazz up Saw for Fright Nights- Queue Times
I would guess they'll be very very similar in terms of queue times etc.The only time throughout the whole of Fright Nights where the queue length will change is during half term where it will be even busier, that's what I would guess.- Nemesis Inferno
This looks fantastic and a huge well done to Ewan. He has made Nemesis Inferno a much better ride, a huge well done and thank you to him.Lets hope things like that pipe being fixed are done over the closed season and so it can be a more reliable affect next year!- Colossus
It is likely to have a similar layout as both the 8 and 10 looping models have the same basic layout, But as a layout view isn't on the site, until a park builds one, we won't know.- Th13teen
It still hasn't been confirmed that "Surrender" is it's name. If it is I will be dissapointed, I don't feel it has the impact it should like, Oblivion or Nemesis. Also, one spelt "won"... Are you kidding me?- Th13teen
No I find it very very unlikely that it'll become themed to a film. They've created, already, in my opinion too strong a unique feel around it. With the "Welcome to the Unkown" Posters and Leaflets. And now the "Surrender in March 2010"This is already making me more excited than the build up to Saw ever did. I can't wait to see what little tid-bit Alton release next!- Stealth
I always remember Stealth at the Fright Nights 2005 and the track had a sort of running lights around the track and it looked unbelievable. I've always wondered why they changed it.- Th13teen
This is so exciting :oThat is some awesome concept art- MTDP
I would much MUCH prefer Intamin anyway. B&M's do get very samey or are just very average rides. There "good" but that's it, nothing particularly unique or special about them.- Rant
I'm struggling with GCSE Spanish, they've decided to give my class, the top languages class in the year, a brand new teacher, as in this is her first year of teaching and she doesn't really have a clue. You would think they'd give us one of the experienced teachers instead of the year 7/8's! - Th13teen
