  1. Oh, and another of the "Thorpe can do no wrong" boys joins in. I won't be carrying on this discussion in this forum.
  2. To be honest, defending the park whenever you feel it should be, is always...And yes, do you have any idea how much the park makes? Once again your bringing other parks into this as if it's an excuse for Thorpe to do so. Your probably quite right that Chessington's rides won't be running at maximum capacity, however the major difference, there won't be 20 minute queue's!!! Which is pretty much the whole reason for this discussion, that Thorpe is running rides on reduced capacity WITH queue's, queue's which are un-necessary. And can I just say, on the Alton front, yesterday the park was absolutely dead, ridiculously so (due to atrocious weather), and yet, Th13teen STILL on 3 trains, and all other rides also, on full capacity or if they weren't on full capacity, the queue was short. (As in walk-on to 5 mins)
  3. *Facepalm*It's impossible to have a discussion when someone is as desperate to defend the park in every single way as you. Enjoy your one-train operations.
  4. Yes, because running 2 trains scares everyone away... The same amount of people will be riding, maybe not ALL seats will be filled on EVERY train, but that doesn't negate the need for the 2nd train. Just means that staff have the option to have a more relaxed day and dispatch (slightly) slower, thus getting enough people to ride (not that that's even a reason...) but also no queue when there doesn't need to be... I think that your actually under-estimating the GP, they do actually know (usually) when a ride could have another train, or be run at a higher capacity, and that can really detract from the day. And if I went on a quiet day, and still had to queue for 20 minutes due to shoddy operations, yes, queueing 20 minutes would be frustrating. And are you suggesting that I/people get fastrack when the park is running one train on rides?
  5. Yes. But yeah, really do think that if this was at Alton and Rita was on 1 train with a 10 minute queue, you'd have a very different opinion.
  6. Can I just say, I'm going to back that up too, word for word.
  7. For Thorpe, sounds like a good day :)Aha, anyway, shame to hear about that. Rides running on less than full capacity, when it "could" be, really grates on me as well.
  8. Easily...You can still enjoy your day even if things have happened which have detracted from it, sometimes if these "things" are big enough to complain about.

    X

Rare enough so that they can operate
  10. ^^ Just an observation... Ricky, why do you call everyone who disagrees with you stupid...?Really pisses me off.
  11. ^ Agreed, and also with the park being so close to Chessington, I'm sure if a major ride was down, more than a few would either change the date, or head a couple of junctions down. Of course, that's if you weren't going to Chessington in the first place

    Legoland

Remember this was back when the park was just starting. The same could be said for The Dragon and why they went with WGH Transportation.
  13. Oi... idiot! :P

Just because you wish you were going to Chessie tomorrow.... Oh. Wait... :(

    ;)

  14. Get the **** out... ;)

We all know who's stalking who... *cough* *cough*

  15. Your never going to please everyone with the merchandise you sell, and to be honest I think Thorpe's a pretty good.
  16. It's just the way the manufacturer chooses to do it.I also think with Saw it's something to do with how the car attaches to the chain.
  17. I just think that now there are the guns there is the thought that nothing needs to happen any more. Which isn't the case, the guns do not eliminate the need for better scenes. There is great theming, I jsut on't think it's used as well as it could. I also would love a sort of "Tour Guide" or "Mission Control" audio throughout the ride. But definitely agreed there Bill
  18. I "think" it's £8/£10 for next day or £14/£16 for any time in the season. At the very least they're around those figures.
  19. Hate to say it Jake, but I read it (as difficult as it was to read) and actually chose not to reply to prevent myself from nit-picking at your idea's which in my opinion, were really poor.
  20. Why do people seem to think the only good rides are thrill rides...?Ugh.
  21. ^ That's why I said a 4 hour queue... 4 x 500 = 2000 :blink:Actually underestimating it a bit there...Edit: Woops I got confused, thought you said you were visiting on an estimated 2000 day. Ugh, an excellent joke goes to waste all because of my stupidity :'(
  22. Depends, if they all decide to do Fury at the same time, you've got yourself a 4 hour queue I'm afraid.

    Th13teen

Meh, I think the drop is certainly big enough. However sometimes what happens is the "fake" drop is too big and therefore the main drop is smaller than usual, making it less forceful.I still think it's an epic ride element though
