Fright Nights 2023
Just wish I'd joined a live stream of waiting for the announcement tbh, I am such a fake fan - AGAIN.

Fright Nights 2023
I've heard rumours that there will be new walking actors called The Nod To's, that will be dressed in old props and tat from Thorpe Farm, any truth in this?

Cheers for that, can you do it with BIG BIRD and SLKSTN: THE RIDE please?

I can imagine the video now - "You know what Thrillseekers, you really resonated with the codename Project Exodus - we thought we'd just call it - Exodus"

I feel like they definitely would have liked to have revealed the name by now. Looking back at the last coaster at Thorpe, it was 1st August that The Swarm was revealed - AFTER having the LC12 teaser campaign for the geeks. The general public still at large don't know this is happening.

QR code takes you here: https://thorpe-park.leadfamly.com/project-exodus The little fire bits floating around are called ember in the coding, I would be surprised if there was some fire in the branding considering Inferno is round the corner. Could be looking too much into things there, anyway... Picture below from SLKSTN himself: I don't really think "Thorpe Park" is needed on that sign - it does smack a little of a rush job, which would make sense if they couldn't register Icarus as previously mentioned...

Nemesis Inferno
Looks suspiciously like the same colour of green line marking/spray paint we have at work to be honest. Good spot mind you, whatever the outcome.

Stealth
In short - the park has far bigger issues and/or redevelopment areas before tearing down (beloved) Stealth.

Stealth
Stealth SRQ is the new Tidal Wave fire effect.

The name not being firmed up would explain why the teasers have been non existent. Might have to go to option 3 at this point at call it The Golden Boi.

It'll be called Big Bird.

Fright Nights 2023
Dear God, I appreciate that when you have props etc. it makes sense to use them, but Merlin are obsessed with passing off old toot as "Easter eggs" and such aren't they?! It always screams "What rubbish do we have kicking about that we can make look old and abandoned, throw it all together, new attraction innit"

Best not be absolute BS sitting in the dark with headphones on for £10.

£10 a run through, with no discount for the beloved annual pass holders, is a rip off. And that's from someone who's never held an annual pass in their life #FakeFan. It's just too much money for your one and only runthrough to be ruined by absolute cretins (Tulleys now 16+...) and/or not enough actor interaction. I know the days of non-upcharge mazes are long gone but I begrudge it. However, all that said, fair play on afternoon runs being cheaper.

Aha! Alas no. Though the tales I could tell about the SW7 opening 😏

Lost phone help!
Might be worth tweeting Thorpe Park and they can point you in the right direction - they tend to be more active on Twitter?

Good point! TPM Trivia: I work for a company that sells reinforcement bar & mesh amongst other things, so back in the day sold rebar to Project Dylan, LC12 and SW7. Unfortunately the customer in question no longer works with Merlin for... reasons 👀 Would have loved to have supplied Exodus but not a contractor on my radar alas 😱

Just to add to this - concrete doesn't set when it's peeing it down with rain 😆

Slammer
Slammer won't be removed until they have something to go in it's place or plans for the area, I guarantee. If they haven't fixed/replaced an on it's last legs screen, or have multi-coloured tarmac all over the place due to laying cables or whatever, then I can't see them spending money on removing an SBNO ride that is sort-of hidden and next to a not very popular "experience".

Fright Nights 2023
Very true - by contrast, Tulleys VIP is now £102 each including fees, if you order on Black Friday. Last year we managed 26 run throughs in total using that - when you factor in the fact we got a £10 food voucher, £5 drinks voucher and £15 merch voucher - even discounting the merch, you would almost certainly eat and drink on a visit, so £82 for the ticket, £3.15 a maze represents good value to me.

Fright Nights 2023
All I know is, doing the Blue Light day last year as well as standard FNs made me really miss the multiple-run through days. I'd be more keen if Thorpe offered an unlimited maze ticket to be honest. I very much begrudge the "one and done" ticketing system, especially on quieter days where they could easily have more run throughs. (That said, last year the ticket scanning was sporadic at best, meaning a couple of extra run throughs may well have occurred 👀 )
