Please post anon: Is there a separate queue for RAP holders for the free pin please.

The £18 million is going on theming to fully enclose the ride so it feels like you are actually at THORPE PARK whilst at Flamingo Land. Evidently, it isn't cheap to recreate the back of XNWO's building and fill a pit with concrete, whilst also creating a lake with a SBNO old boat-come-scare maze.

I was so shocked I'm only going back to Thorpe this year if I can blag entry to the FN press night, good day to you Sir. LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE - CLICK THAT NOTIFICATION BELL

Funny that - it's almost as if they haven't put a new coaster in for 7 years!

Not guilty sir, I've yet to even witness Bouncezilla in the flesh.

Room on the Broom - A Magical Journey

That's most unlike Merlin to cut back on staff shortly after a ride/attraction opens. -
I really hope Thorpe having something decent planned for 2021 so they can start teasing next year, because who's to say that Paulton's don't extend their new land even further in 2021 if it's received well? BounceZilla has been surprisingly popular but it's a short term fix (or at least, a poorly applied plaster) when it's clear that Thorpe is crying out for a worthwhile investment.... but I don't think Merlin are looking to splash the cash. Also, to being the thread back on track - I really loved Slammer and kudos where it's due for the Island like No Other keeping it alive for as long as they did.

It features Merlin's favourite word: eXPeRiENCeS

Yes I agree too - the fake shop part is the best bit. When it's operational. The main issue though for me is that putting on the headset and trying to get it to work is never simple and seems clunky for everyone involved. I often have to hold the headset up to stop it slipping - I'm sure you can probably adjust the straps etc but it all just seems a faff and you're in a rush anyway. If the headsets weren't so heavy it'd be far more enjoyable and seamless. Far from creating the "magic", the headsets seem to take it away in some respects - the great pre-show, the awesome IMAScore iMMErSivE audio in the queue, the fantastic hanging train, the spot on recreation of a tube carriage - and then you get in and have to put this thing on that weighs a tonne. Maybe in a few years time when the headsets aren't so heavy and tempermental, it could work well, you never know.

Can relate. 10/10 would experience Bouncezilla with.

Like I always say - the hanging train, the building itself, the pre-show, the likeness of the tube trains are all top notch. It promises so much from that. Genuinely impressed when I saw it first - and since - with the scene when you walk on in particular. Not much left of those queue line posters against fracking etc. now though. I guess people get bored when a 20 minute queue becomes 60 for no real reason

Cheers for the advice bruv.

Seeing those old maze photos has made me sad. I'm off to go melt some pop badges.

DBGTROTD has a lot to answer for. The lack of any brand new, not recycled investments since, for one thing I reckon Bouncezilla will be back for 2020, bigger and bouncier than before.

I like the bit where he says "My Ghost Train" and hope Thorpe release merch with this on next year.

That might explain that pass-aggy tweet the other day from IMAScore referring to Paulton's Park as a family resort like no other

If The Colony gets longer it'll take half an hour to get through Had some awful run throughs on Colony last year... Then all was forgiven when I somehow fluked it and ended up in a group of 3 at the end of the night, so let the pair in front go off by themselves. Was incredible by myself, remember posting here at the time - got completely stuck at the mist/white bright light part with an actor making me go the wrong way time and time again
-
Dear Thorpe, please don't make the same mistake/mistakes of last year - my biggest bug bear being that when about to start Dead Creek Woods (from memory), you could see the actor on Platform 15 through a poorly covered (with see through fabric) herras fencing on the left - starting his/her spiel to the next batch of guests, kinda ruining the iMmErSiVe experience.

Hahaha, the forum was playing up so it must have cached - let me go back and delete them

New for 2019: The Chip Shop. Completely original idea where you enter what appears to be an innocent looking potato farm in Old Town but all is not what it seems, and the workers there are not happy about you interfering with their Maris Pipers
