It wasn't even 0959... it was a good 5 minutes before 10 and they'd gone! Normally with timed release of tickets (Ticketmaster etc.) you expect them to go on at 0959-1002.

I'm going on 11th May whatever happens but this would've been a nice bonus - I wouldn't be grumbling if I'd not nabed one and they'd gone on sale at 10am like they were supposed to

I was refreshing but didn't see the code box appear at the bottom of the screen until about 9.56. Already too late. And 4 minutes early. Thorpe Park can't even get this right.

The photo updates from around the park from TowersStreet make for depressing viewing - fences, fences and more fences

The abandoned/destroyed theme is a tried and tested Merlin favourite and means that any neglect in the future just adds to theming Props though for the entrance to the area - that gate and metal logo does look awesome.

Agreed - on the one visit to Thorpe last year, the IAC music in the Nemesis queue (well, that 20 second bit of it repeated ad nauseum) did annoy me. The Nemesis launch used to be so awesome too.

Do those records stuck to the X queue line wall look as bad as they do in the photos? I like the X themed bins outside though! Shame they still have the X-Files style X on the ride itself.

Similarly - I cannot see Colossus going anywhere anytime soon... that thing as iconic as Stealth for Thorpe Park in my opinion. I don't enjoy riding the thing one bit mind you, but it's still iconic

Any Stealth love by Thorpe is fine by me.

I do think the Old Town name is a bit naff, just reminds makes me think of lots of kids rides (Toy Town) That aside, assume the new name would hint at something new there in the future as they drop the Canada tie ins. Always thought that noodle shop was a bit odd being in Canada Creek anyway. "This attraction is under development" is suitably vague as to whether it's being scrapped entirely or being modified.

I don't think it would have been too much to ask to retarmac the surrounding area instead of those criss-cross gulleys where they've laid new cables etc underground. Other than that though - looking good
