Jart is that you?

I don't think they would to be honest - it's not in Thorpe's interest to advise now what ride(s) won't be available in 2016 as it's just negative publicity which isn't needed considering Merlin's current position... better to release that info at the start of the season with an explanation why, I.e. what's replacing it etc.

No one said the IP was the London Underground... but it has been said that there's going to be a train carriage involved some how... I'm not sure how many times I have to say that End Of The Line. Mind Gap which became Mind The Gap. But I know nothing of course. Why do you think they changed it from codename Whitechapel to WC16 to make it less obvious? It's not like there's a Whitechapel underground sta... oh wait...

New for 2016 - Park-Wide Improvements
MattyMoo replied to MarkC's topic in Chessington World of Adventures
Maybe their thinking is by having a "new" water ride, people won't mind so much when they have to shut Dragon Falls for a refurb and/or to work on (or destroy ) the Tomb Blaster building. Even with that in mind, as already said, this isn't what CWoA needs right now. Could be worse though, could be a year round maze, right?! -
That Big Top music haunts my dreams...

I was saying elsewhere - my visit to Thorpe on Sunday was my first in a year and a half - which meant I actually was genuinely excited about visiting, I was like a kid driving up the A3 and M25 and then doing the usual looking-at-the-rides-from-the-road across the empty Thorpe car park Sure, there were a few niggles - Slammer she ded, Samurai unavailable (not that I ride it anyway ), Fasttrack oversell and E Stops on Saw Alive making the queue take ages and exaggerating of queue times on the mazes purely for Fasttrack upsell (no way was Cabin 120 mins, it was about 20 at 4pm when we went on) BUT.... all that aside - I loved being back on Stealth, and riding Stealth & Swarm in the dark was all kinds of awesome. Big Top I was very impressed by, thought it was fantastic... Fear It Alone Big Top even more so.... Containment impressed me greatly too and was enjoyable and different, and I commend TP for that! In short - I was pretty darn happy with my single visit to Thorpe Park this year!

The only lowlight of yesterday was the Saw Alive queue - that barely moved because of effing Fasttrack. A couple of E-Stops compounded the issue, meaning there was a backlog of Fasttrack that then took precedence over the paupers in the standard queue. I still have yet to ever purchase a Fasttrack ticket and am proud of it

Bit off topic, so soz - yes you are right, it was room 3! I was very impressed with Containment. She was very good, telling me I should use my two brain cells, it's not difficult etc., how many people does it take to put a code into a keypad

I didn't even do any bag holding yesterday, I fail at life... bag retrieving, but not holding Still aching from my Brave It Alone Big Top experience. Brilliant stuff. Couldn't work out where the smell of talcum power was coming from when I went to sleep last night, then realised it was me... Brilliant day yesterday, great to see everyone again - really really enjoyed my day at Thorpe, probably because I hadn't been since early 2013 Stealth and Swarm at night is just epic Particularly enjoyed the Dodgems takeover too, and the least said about the roaming hillbillies outside Cabin, the better #mypoorcatears

Oh look, an evidently train related hoodie on sale... Goodness knows what the other two hoodies reference though. And yep - there was a tube map in Containment. I would've paid more attention in room 2 but the dentist lady was very distracting

So... a Sky Fly at Chessie for 2016 - that looks incredibly like Samurai (well, the main arm does), where Samurai used to be? https://www.facebook.com/ChessingtonArchives/posts/1025219724185147 -
I have purchased some suitably rubbish cat ears to wear tomorrow
-
The world first is the fact it's going to have a life-size Tube train carriage in there
-
I think you are right there reference being out of copyright, as there are loads of fruit machines with Alice plastered all over them - and that wouldn't be allowed if they were in copyright I'm sure. Bit off topic, soz.

Sounds as if Sunday instead of Saturday for the upcoming meet is a good shout then
-
Just catching up on what's been going on. Amazing stuff. Sounds like the Sunday was better though.
-
Wow, that is quiet. I know it's early on for Fright Nites but even so....!
-
Noooooooooo! I knew I shouldn't have jinxed it by mentioning me wanting to ride
-
Excellent Peaj, I'm up for Containment

The Chessington Adventure Tree
MattyMoo replied to pognoi's topic in Chessington World of Adventures
This. You only have to look at the recent backlash from having lots of rides unavailable at once online. Bearing in mind that CWoA can't even get the car park situation right for guests, I can't see the park as a whole improving anytime soon. -
Pinch of salt definitely for X - what with the recent(ish) retheme and all. Am definitely going to have a go on Slammer a week on Sunday
