Vortex
Blimey - I don't normally ride Vortex as it makes me feel ill (no point ruining my day for it!) but I think even my ageing stomach could handle that cycle! This cycle - maybe not:

Rameses Revenge
Whaaaaat? 15 people? That means I'll never be able to recreate having the whole ride to myself like a did on my birthday 4 or 5 years ago
-
Rameses Revenge
Oh Ramases you creaky beast, welcome back!

Ministry of Sound @ Thorpe Park
The Dome is probably bigger than you realise, once chairs, crane grabbers etc are cleared away Stealth is amazing all the time, but even better at night Is it the Travelodge called Hertz House, TW5 9SW? If so there's a McDonalds that's 10 min walk away down the Bath Road (A4)
-
Ministry of Sound @ Thorpe Park
It's held in the Dome (just after the entrance bridge) Assume you mean Two Rivers Travelodge in Staines? If so, that's adjacent to the retail park that has a McDonalds, so you can walk it within 5 mins!

Angry Birds Land
I really like the "new look" Thorpe branding - it looks almost, dare I say it, professional?
-
Park Map
What's "Hideaway" by the Carousel? The orange lettering implies a family friendly ride...!
-
Vampire
My memories of Vampire in my youf are exactly the same. Dat tunnel... with the sign about the Vampire striking - entering the station was one of the scariest parts!
-
Thorpe Shark Hotel
Blimey I hope it's as good as the concept art. Good stuff Thorpe!

Submission
<--- Detty fan as you know Been said before, but in my opinion you'll struggle to find a drop tower that packs such a punch from such a - comparatively - small height compared to some towers. Love it. Back on subject though - I've never ridden Submission - that may be for the best by the sounds of things.

Alton Towers General Discussion
This fence discussion is getting almost as heated and generating as much interest as the "Scorpion Express" discussion
-
Alton Towers General Discussion
Yep, I'm sure it's because the steps need to be protected from any further erosion... not the nicest fence put around them, mind you...
-
Samurai
10 years at Thorpe? Wow! I remember all the rumours of it moving to Thorpe from CWoA at the time...
-
Alton Towers General Discussion
Maybe it's to stop the steps getting any more worn away?
-
Scorpion Express
I don't know about anyone else but it's nice to actually have 3 pages of new posts to read on here - negative or otherwise!

The Big Bad Movie Topic
^ Love Tegan & Sara, and love the fact they scored their highest charting track in the UK to date with it. I know this is a movie topic, but their album last year "Heartthrob" is near on perfection in my eyes - "I Was A Fool" is a brilliant brilliant song

News Desk
Might be worth mentioning that in the "Worst Visitors At Thorpe Park" thread Just putting 2 + 2 together looking around on profiles

Worst Visitors At Thorpe Park?
I wondered why a thread that was 2 years old had suddenly sparked into activity. Enjoyed that read over lunch, many thanks! I think the main bone of contention is other guests ruining people's days (whether those people are enthusiasts or not) - unfortunately, most people's experience of days being ruined appears to be by guests who some would term as "chavs" - but that's not to say everyone who wears a tracksuit to Thorpe Park/talks with a London/Staines accent is going to queue jump, is it? That would be like saying that all users of this forum are upper class teenagers - I'm 31 this year
-
Scorpion Express
Mine was already written off after the 2013 season!
-
Chessington General Discussion
Holy hell... the new Hotel could be the next Smiler!

Worst funfair ride you have been on
Worst for all the wrong reasons - I went on a ride at a travelling fair at Frimley Lodge Park once called "The X Files Experience" - it was a ghost train of sorts. Absolutely awful and cheap, but I guess the fact the murals of Mulder & Scully on the outside with the names underneath the wrong way round should've been a good warning sign

CBeebies Land
Yep, a real "pain in the ass" for George & Granville having to move to Chessie. I'll get me coat...

Chessington General Discussion
Don't worry folks, looking at those photos that were posted, there's definitely at least one more cactus to install. EDIT to say: The more I look at those photos of The Scorpion Express "progress" so far, the more I want to cry and cry.

Rant
Sorry it's not a rant - but so pleased you got things sorted Ellie. I was in complete and utter shock reading how things progressed, these people obviously have a combined IQ of 10 between all of them.

Music
Becky and I are big Ke$ha fans - we went to her secret launch gig at a little back-street club in London a good few years back I had a stinking sore throat but still went along - mainly because there was a free bar for one thing "Timber" is catchy as hell, I am rather partial to it! I bought the new Sophie Ellis Bextor album last week, that's rather nice indeed - "Young Blood" is a gorgeous song and arrangement, love it.
