Colossus
I don't think there will be any conservation orders in place for a humble magpie... more probably get killed on the M25 each day, whilst they are gorging on some roadkill themselves, ironically
-
Scorpion Express
Thanks for that video, appreciated! Makes you realise just how small the ride is and how having the rocks made RMT seem much more of a ride than it actually was. In short - it looks rather pathetic without the rocks

The Swarm
Apologies for the slightly naff quality of these videos that I've just rediscovered - it was very very cold (as TPM members will testify) hence a finger or two in the way at times, and I was on my spare phone as my Xperia Z had been drained of battery after being on the go since 6am - but that aside, thought they may be appreciated You can play spot the TPM member, and also enjoy a particularly non apocalyptic soundtrack in the Swarm station... (have set these videos to public on Facebook so even if we aren't Facebook fwends you can still watch ) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152239367963592&l=8924597793659564464 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152239363868592&l=8611346375747456768 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152239352313592&l=6899957456724649276

Chessington General Discussion
That's shocking that they make Dragon Falls look like that in that ad. I mean, yeah, it looked like that when I went in 1995 when I was 12...

Colossus
Sounds like a recipe for disaster, someone could end up with a face full of pigeon...
-
Colossus
Blimey, I didn't realise quite how dirty Colossus is....!

Annual Pass Day
Ha I thought I got away with it I was pretty sneaky in doing so as everyone was chatting after the ride and I just snuck off round the corner

Chessington General Discussion
Can we buy Fastrack on this attraction?

Zufari
Mmmm dat keyclamp railing

Annual Pass Day
I chucked up after Rush on the Stealth photoshoot trip last year, but no-one noticed I expect to see a nice patch of foliage where I have fertilised the ground in the area with the finest Amity Kebab.

Park Map
I do like the style of focusing on the coasters, but it seems other rides have been forgotten about in their place. As I've said though - as perhaps "boring" the new font looks, it's a far cleaner, professional and less tacky look. Have all the "big heads" gone from signage in park (lockers, toilets, etc.) - I'm guessing not as yet?
-
Vortex
Blimey - I don't normally ride Vortex as it makes me feel ill (no point ruining my day for it!) but I think even my ageing stomach could handle that cycle! This cycle - maybe not:

Rameses Revenge
Whaaaaat? 15 people? That means I'll never be able to recreate having the whole ride to myself like a did on my birthday 4 or 5 years ago
-
Rameses Revenge
Oh Ramases you creaky beast, welcome back!

Ministry of Sound @ Thorpe Park
The Dome is probably bigger than you realise, once chairs, crane grabbers etc are cleared away Stealth is amazing all the time, but even better at night Is it the Travelodge called Hertz House, TW5 9SW? If so there's a McDonalds that's 10 min walk away down the Bath Road (A4)
-
Ministry of Sound @ Thorpe Park
It's held in the Dome (just after the entrance bridge) Assume you mean Two Rivers Travelodge in Staines? If so, that's adjacent to the retail park that has a McDonalds, so you can walk it within 5 mins!
-
Angry Birds Land
I really like the "new look" Thorpe branding - it looks almost, dare I say it, professional?
-
Park Map
What's "Hideaway" by the Carousel? The orange lettering implies a family friendly ride...!
-
Vampire
My memories of Vampire in my youf are exactly the same. Dat tunnel... with the sign about the Vampire striking - entering the station was one of the scariest parts!
-
Thorpe Shark Hotel
Blimey I hope it's as good as the concept art. Good stuff Thorpe!
-
Submission
<--- Detty fan as you know Been said before, but in my opinion you'll struggle to find a drop tower that packs such a punch from such a - comparatively - small height compared to some towers. Love it. Back on subject though - I've never ridden Submission - that may be for the best by the sounds of things.

Alton Towers General Discussion
This fence discussion is getting almost as heated and generating as much interest as the "Scorpion Express" discussion
-
Alton Towers General Discussion
Yep, I'm sure it's because the steps need to be protected from any further erosion... not the nicest fence put around them, mind you...
-
Samurai
10 years at Thorpe? Wow! I remember all the rumours of it moving to Thorpe from CWoA at the time...

Alton Towers General Discussion
Maybe it's to stop the steps getting any more worn away?
