Halloween
I'm with Jord and Josh here, I'm not a big fan of Halloween, never have really done anything to do with it. Seems to be an excuse for idiots to do some stupid things and try to intimidate people. I understand how it can be fun for young children but I still don't like it. Luckily we only seem to get a couple of groups who come to our house, they're always young though so there's no problem.I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I don't dislike the idea of giving out sweets once a year, I just hate how it's used as an excuse for all kinds of mischief.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
The main job which I have been keen to pursue for a couple of years now is to become a veterinary surgeon. I'd love to do this job for a number of reasons. Firstly, I love animals! I would love to work with them as my job. Also, as a vet I would be working with a variety of animals which would keep the job fresh, I don't want a repetitive job, I want to enjoy what I work as. As well as this, I feel I am well prepared academically wise as my best subjects are the three sciences. A second option would be something to do with engineering, I'm not really sure what sort of area of engineering I would work in though, I will give that more thought in the future. Again, I consider myself good at the three sciences and maths so this could be a realistic possibility.

I'm very pleased with the introduction of this, it has worked well on other forums of a similar nature so implementation here should be just as useful, appreciate the update.

Parks, Rides And Coaster News
Well according to this Screamscape article and this forum thread, Rip Ride Rockit is back in operation. This is great news seeing as many had anticipated a longer downtime than this, unfortunately, it still isn't open in the evening for HHN.On a more African note, I agree that Cheetaka was a much better name than Cheetah Hunt - seems to not really carry the right message in my opinion.

Parks, Rides And Coaster News
In some quite important news, Maurer Sohne have released a technical bulletin explaining that they believe the coupling bar between the two trains on their X - Car coasters (G-Force, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit) is not fatigue endurable enough. This caused a shut down of all X - Car coasters while they fix the problem. This is especially bad news for HRRR which has not been working properly, even after opening six months late last August. I would imagine that this was another headache for Universal. Strangely, HRRR is closed at the moment "indefinitely", however Universal have said that the bulletin would have been dealt with months ago and this is unrelated. The current downtime must be quite serious as they have decided they might as well do the annual maintenance for Rockit now while it is down anyway.http://www.ltci.co.uk/LTC_Technical_Bulletins/Maurer_Sohne_Conection_Bar_Action.pdf

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Well they did eventually get two trains, it was only after the queues had built up to stupid lengths. Having Saw down for the majority of the afternoon really didn't help though.Still, as Adam said, we got most things done.

Rush
I'm not 100% on which swing it was. I *think* it was the one furthest away from the control cabin.
-
Rush
Indeed, it was on one swing. It started out on two, went down to one for an hour or so, then came back up with two,However it was running stupidly short cycles. It seemed like it would do one or two top swings at the most and then come back to stop.

Seems good to me. I won't use the facebook/twiiter etc. bits and bobs but it's nice to have it there if I ever were to. I don't see any issue with them, they hardly make the forum look ugly.

Thorpe Park Annual Pass
Pretty sure, it certainly was when I was there last Thursday so unless it's changed since then.
