The Challenge #7
Oh, sorry. If he did provide this then it really is down to a lack of effort.

The Challenge #7
Thank you very much everyone! I for one thought I was a goner with Josh's entry, really fantastic!I think the problem is that some people are not willing to put in the effort. For example, some of the photo ones, people simply do not have the skills or programs to edit a photo.Thank you very much for providing them up to now though!

Thorpe Park Quiz #2
I am most definitely interested in this competition!

'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter'
That looks...amazing! I was there last August and to see the change from scaffolding to utter brilliance is great. This really does look good, Universal have really gone for it! Interested to see how Disney will respond, hopefully the new fantasy land will be amazing as well. The level of detail shown by the Orlando parks is mind blowing, especially some of the little things put in rides by the Imagineers, very clever.

Chessington Trip Reports
Just a quick trip report from me:First of all I'll say this was a quick visit. This is because my parents are very much of the opinion "you've grown out of Chessington, why not go to Thorpe instead". This was meant to be a visit just to get an Annual Pass and then leave but I persuaded them to give me a couple of hours on park.We arrived at about 9:20 and I was impressed with the new theming at the entrance. We then went to get our Annual Passes. There were two groups in front of us and after about 10 minutes we were being served. This was quite funny because there was a incident with the tills. At certain points during the transaction the till pops up:Take 1: The till flies up...with our vouchers on it and these then fly against the glass.Take 2: Same thing happens.Take 3: The camera is on the till and this promptly makes contact with the glass. After this we got our passes but realised the dates were the wrong way round so these were reprinted. Even though she made a few mistakes, the woman at the desk was apologising about it so that was fine.At 9:55 we entered the park and went to Kobra. I had seen the pictures but was stunned with the theming in Wild Asia, to see it for myself was amazing. A very good job there Chessie! We went straight on Kobra which I thought was quite fun and had some good airtime but was not overly amazing. It fit the target audience perfectly though so all is well.Next up we went on Dragons Fury which was fun as ever. Nothing particularly notable to say here.Next up we went to Vampire and I was pleased I did. The queue looks great with the repainted fences. There was no queue so straight to the station, this was fantastic. Walking in I was hit with the audio blasting out the speakers, was really good to have it loud. Seeing the organist work again ignited the fanboy within me, something my brother neglects to understand! A solid ride with good improvements made. Next it was off to Rattlesnake. I enjoy this ride but as with Vampire, the last time I visited was two years ago so the drops seem a lot smaller. Coming out of this was brilliant though as the person at the entrance was singing and dancing to the music. Really great to see staff enjoying themselves. After this we went on Tomb Blaster which was walk on, I failed, as usual. Seemed to have some good effects I had not noticed before. Our final ride was Dragon Falls, again a walk on. A good log flume with some new sound effects and water effects. The elephant was working again, unfortunately this got me far wetter than the main drop. I liked the new music as you go into the dragon but they really should theme the inside of that, it looks horrible.Unfortunately that was all we had time for, really wish I could visit for longer and more often, I missed out on a lot. Was a great day though!

Dragon Falls
Well, they completely and utterly failed at getting me!

Kobra
I went on this yesterday and would give it a solid 6/10.It is quite slow to load but looks magnificent in operation. The theming around the ride was nice but not overly extensive. The reason I like this ride is the airtime given, it is very good. However after the initial full length travels I became slightly bored and started to look around Wild Asia from the unique perspective.Even though I did not think it was that good I think it hits the spot perfectly for the majority of guests at the park. A fun and thrilling ride for all the family. Children on the ride seemed to be loving it from where I was standing!A very good addition.

Dragon Falls
I was pleasently surprised riding this yesterday. I liked the fact they had bothered to make the elephant work again and added the "fountain" after the drop. It stopped just as I went past and came back on after though .I also liked the music as you entered the dragon, I thought it was a nice touch. Although as you go in you realise yet again that you are in a big corrugated iron box, would be really impressed if they could change that inside somehow.

Chessington Staff
I have to agree with this, they definitely seemed a lot more friendly. The best I saw was the person at the entrance of the queue to Rattlesnake. He was singing and dancing along to the music played out there . Really pleased me to see someone having fun on the job.

Ok, I am considering getting this as my first purchase of a game like this. However I have a couple of questions;Should I start with something like RCT or would I be able to get the hang of this over time? How much would it cost to upgrade to these sorts of requirements?Pentium PIII or better-3D accelerated video card with at least 32 MB Video-RAM

Chessie Website
Just realised I haven't posted my thoughts.I really like the new website, it conveys exactly the right image that Chessington want in my opinion. The whole layout and colour scheme makes it attractive and user friendly for most people, very good. Then again it's hardly got much competition on website design!

The Challenge #7
Ok here goes.....The overall theme is of a top secret "NASA meets area 51"style.The queue stays similar but the traps in the line are replaced by old space junk type objects. The barbed wire can stay as it is top secret. There are red lights which flash as if a big event is about to occur. As you enter the building the screens show previous attempts at launching this new style rocket, needless to see it does not bode well. Replacing the props indoors there are large computers and servers, there are also models of successful rockets and reports of great space missions. The whole area is lighter and looks more clean. As you reach the station there is a big countdown clock on the wall and there are even more computers. there are also flashing lights and klaxons as the new space rocket is about to be launched. The cars have been completely refitted, they are a sleek white/silver colour and on board audio has been installed. As you get in, the on board audio is playing a sound which sounds like preparations. As the countdown clock reaches ten seconds, you are fully loaded and the audio starts the whole countdown thing. The indoor section of the ride is lit up at this point and it is just a plain wall. However just as you start to move forward this light goes out and the on board audio plays a "stressed out mission control". They say how control has been lost and anything could happen. You then do the inside drop and stop on the brake section. It sounds as if control is being regained but then you launch of again and go out the building through the barrel roll. As you come outside the people in the audio sound relieved and say that there was just a minor bug and it had been sorted out, you are now completely safe. You are told that you are climbing a contraption, which when you reach the top will allow you to launch up into space. You then ascend the lift but as you start the audio crackles as if connection is being lost. It then goes completely silent and you ominously continue to ascend the lift hill. Just before the top somebody comes on the audio saying "You shouldn't have trusted them, you made the same mistake I did!" the audio then dies again. You continue the rest of the track as normal as if you are an out of control rocket. As you re-enter the station you are rushed out of the facility and are told not to mention anything about what you have just experienced. The photo shop is rethemed as a kind of bootleg stall who have hacked the servers and accessed some of the classified data, this being your photo and video.

Alton Towers General Discussion
Has anyone had any experience of any taxi services from Stoke-on-Trent station? Doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the companies so am looking to see if anyone has had personal experiences, good or bad.
