That is damned impressive, I can imagine the atmosphere in the area is gonna be ace... The dinos look a bit crap though, but that's a common theme in parks anyway, so it's a really minor point...

God that map design is awful... New style next year pls...

James I completely disagree with you... The park had two choices with this season, the route they have taken, which is focus on saving money first and foremost, or the alternative was to go all out with this season in order to gain that trust back... The ticket price has gone UP (probably part of inflation etc.), yet Ripsaw is gone and there's 5 other attractions SBNO... When we add in that they've only just announced this a WEEK before the park is due to open, that's some serious contempt for the public they need to win back... ATM, if the park is dead, it's their own doing with the way this season has been handled so far... Paint will not fill in the family ride quota (especially when they've closed two of the most popular ones)... What happens if this season is a failure? More cuts and closed rides? Why should financial logic of saving as much as possible take over from trying to get the trust and confidence back? I'm not business minded but showing further contempt to those who do visit a now lesser yet more expensive product will cause even more negativity... It's utterly daft to me that they haven't gone all out, and just accepted this year as a write off on a financial level as long as it meant the park was in full performance mode... That's the way they should've gone...

Good game Reading... Real shame I didn't get to go to this game tbh... Que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be... I'm (hopefully) going to Wemberlee! Que sera, sera...

If anyone can find a non-TPR variant video that would be greatly appreciated...

Surely they only have to guess as certain parks don't release that info?
-
But just what are the parks 'previewing' to MAP holders? DBGT won't be open, Towers never do one and Chessie only has a show... Calling it a preview allows the parks to get away with not having a full line up, which is a poor show...
-
Back in the day, anything closed for opening would be frowned upon, now it's deemed ok because the other year it was REALLY bad... Need to get out of this mindset of settling for the mediocre and poor performances...

Gotta wonder where that £5 million goes really... Merlin do not get value for money at all with their additions... Or they don't know how to use limited budgets to really push the boundaries of creativity... Either way..........

At minimum they'll be continuing expansion on Bosrijk, dunno where they'd put another hotel tbh... The increase is probably owing a lot to their own expansion to advertising abroad (including UK), something that they didn't really do too much beforehand...

One thing I'm hoping for with this is that there are versions of the rides (such as the Star Flyer) that don't have the really bad cartoony stuff around it... Looks amazing otherwise... What's the early bird edition looking like? If it's anything like the first editions of Theme Park Studio then I'll wait...

You mean like screens that can be manipulated? How many times do you have to mention that you know everything? Like, we get it, you don't have to keep mentioning it... It doesn't make you better, just insufferable...

Time Voyagers is best left on the cutting room floor... It looks like a video game, like REALLY like one... I shall remain unconvinced forever more...

If Lost Gravity is the answer, just what WAS the question? That first drop though <3

It upsets me that because it's replaced the awful scaffolding people are being positive about this... It's STILL awful looking, just get rid of Rita and then the area can have something great done instead of this crap...
-
I've always walked onto Kraken & Atlantis... Mean bloody hell, the point of Sea World isn't the rides, it's not beyond the realms of sanity to do the shows as well...

Cos everything on Facebook is true eh?

What good things? It's a Vekoma SLC, it shares pretty much every flaw they have, even with the brand new trains the other year it was still rough as hell... It's also pretty boring and the wind really affects the ride in a negative manner (when it's running) in a similar way to how Big One can feel sluggish if the wind is against it...
-
Millenium is surprisingly great actually, like I really enjoyed it... Odyssey is just dreadful though, like most SLCs, especially when you factor in it's hardly ever bloody open in the first place... I was lucky to get it myself on my first trip and even that involved waiting for 3 hours (although granted, that was because of a thunderstorn rather than wind)...
-
Was it ever on track in the first place? Let's hope they dump the shabby market at minimum, that's a lot of space that is better used for, well anything really...
-
Ride hosts can't do it, only engineers can... With this incident, it comes down to miscommunication... Op was probably told there was a train stuck, but not stalled... What with a train on the lift, it's a fair assumption to make in my book... They got it wrong, but even the more stringent procedures cannot account for human error without going overboard (take this for example, multiple hosts will now have to do visual checks outside and press a button/use a key... What was once a quick reset will take a lot longer to do, safer yes, but not practical)... The high pressure of the theme park world causes a lot more human error than is actually openly documented, I can tell you that for certain... But risk assessments, as detailed as they are, cannot always account for them... And that's the same for any industry...
-
Should you not be able to override any computer system then? Oh, the electronically controlled train thinks the junction is open when actually there's another train there, but oh no the driver can't override it so everyone dies... A more grounded similarity would be when your printer jams, oh you've removed the jam, but it still says there's one... Best get a new printer then cos the machine is right...
-
Given that the ride crashed due to Human Error, then there is absolutely NOTHING the HSE can do to remove that in it's entirity...
