I'm going to take this moment to be sombre and philosphical, but don't know what topic is suitable for it, anyone want to move it, be my guest...Today it was discovered that the Welsh National Team Football Manager Gary Speed was found dead in his home, the cause? Suicide. This is a man who only yesterday had appeared on national tv and was happy talking about his work, family and life in general, a man who was a legend in the game, mutually respected by many, and had left his mark on former team-mates both domestically and nationally. He was also bringing in a new era to Welsh football, so was on such a rise.Yet commited suicide. Some deaths cause you to think really hard about life and put things into real perspective, here we have a family man, with a well paid job, yet evidently something behind the scenes was up to such a degree that it cause him to commit suicide. We as humans always require social support for emotional and physical aspects of life, yet how do we feel when we have no support? It feels terrible when you lose friends and feel like you have no-one to talk to, and it can literally affect anyone and everyone, age, race or gender doesn't come into this at all when it comes to such a thing as depression and it can quickly spiral into something much worse if it isn't caught onto to quickly.Depression is something that I feel that no-one notices until it's too late, because of today's event I have contacted a friend of mine about this and informed them to talk to me if they ever feel really down, because I want them to know that there will always be at least one person they can turn to no matter what, if they don't think anyone is there for them, they always have that one person available for anything and everything.I implore everyone here to keep a close eye on their friends because of how silent depression can be, and how deadly and effective it can be on not just the person who is depressed, but family and friends who did not know they were. And if you do feel exceptionally down and upset, try your best to talk to anyone about it. Even a doctor if there is no-one else. By they friends, family or professionals, there is always someone out there to be there for you, it's just a case of finding them first.Sorry for being downcast here, but I feel that some things need to be said in these times, and that we all need someone to be there for us when things aren't quite right. Considering we all here have a common bond for theme parks and rides, some of the most fun things in the world, we all share a common passion and can discover friends in the strangest of places throughout these realms of internet forums and the like. It's probably the hardest thing in the world to first admit to anyone, no matter how close how you might be feeling, but once you do, you'll realise that there are so many people who do give a damn.Thankyou for reading.
  5. Photos can be excessively deceiving though, just look at some of the Swarm ones. This is why judging rides by photos is never going to give anyone the entire experience. It still looks amazing, dunno who's moaning about the colour though. Evidently that's the new thing for enthusiasts to complain about...
  6. Probs cos it is just a slightly bigger B&M Hyper?
  7. A wild fuselage appeared!From Go-Merlin
  8. Don't be silly, some of the UK public can't even work out turnstiles. And it won't be cheap, it will be over-priced and make me look awful. There however will be a market for it in the non-enthusiast side of things, and one of my cousins does have a rather epic Saw on-ride DVD that was hilarious.I'll say £10 for the DVD, perhaps £12 for a combo on ride photo.

I just changed mine...Maybe TPM just loves me
  10. Mmmmm, on the one hand, it might help improve (I say with a smirk on my face) the hospital standards, with (theoretically) a higher income rate... But of course we're already poor enough as it is in this recession, forcing this in at this current time would be an absolute disaster...Plus as it's the UK, it will mess up royally and it will be yet another mark on the coalition government, paving the way for Labour to take control next time around...
  11. It had trims going from the top to about 3/4 of the drop...http://www.rcdb.com/4520.htm?p=33479(Not going to spam up this topic further with a MASSIVE picture of an Intamin)
  12. ^Could have told you that :PIt'll be ever better when the mouth gets rebuilts at the bottom of the drop...The queue though isn't cute... Or shaded for that matter... Bleh at that... And the station layout ;)EDIT - Video for the design and creation of Verbolten's indoor theming, looks interesting... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PV6rkUSrCjs&feature=player_embedded

It's not offensive, it's just a really stupid thing to even talk about...Quite frankly, talk of pubes shouldn't be found amusing by anyone, anywhere... Unless you're the age of 10...

    Jobs..

Urgh, if applying for grad schemes means MORE of those really crappy numeracy/literacy tests, I'm going to kill someone before the year is out...I don't mind the literacy stuff, that's a doddle, but the numeracy... I HATE them...
  17. ^The ENTIRE first drop and possibly new trains, I've been up for about 5 minutes at the time of this post and I can't be bothered looking further than RCDB for photographic evidence...Either way, it could be the best ride in the world, but if a new ride is so damaging to not only riders but also itself (what with the high velocity round the first corners I dread to think of the stresses and strains occuring on the track there, let alone the train tyre issues they also had) that it has to be rethunk a year later, it just doesn't cut the mustard for me...Besides, this is about Swarm, it has one trim... That is all, it won't kill the ride like the OTHER working trim in the country, it will potentially HELP the ride as Raptor's near-,misses in my opinion worked so much better because of the slower speed...And Wild Eagle is taller than Swarm, sure it's on a mountain, but they would be hard pressed NOT to build it on a mountain or valley in that area...
  18. I don't care if you're a pointless ride Leviathan, you look GORGEOUS <3

Nice to see the serious tone of TPM being kept up...
  21. Weren't thirteen's added due to overspeeding onto the second lift causing the system to panic and cause about 20 shut downs a day?As I said, both are as bad as each other these days, but they add them for very different reasons and often Intamin's are added after the ride has opened...Besides, again like Raptor, these trims might not make the slightest bit of difference to the ride...
