It's real...And yes, considering it's several hundreds of volts coursing around there, I'd imagine if you were inside the cage you would become "Deep Fried" so to speak...And it's amazing...

That's exceptionally random with the whips...Is it still Midnight Syndicate they use?

The News
^Unfortunately the way our media works is that things only are interesting when stuff goes down...Like when Big Dipper crashed, as soon as they found out no-one was hurt/injured, it barely got a mention in the national news... Whilst when Rush tried to kill loads of people with the giant washer of doom, it was everywhere...

Your Chessington
^Some great stuff there John...But three things really...Firstly unless they radically change Griffins it will never be surrounded by water due to the mechanics/electrics being underneath it... But I wish it were possible since the fake water is really poor...Secondly, Bubbleworks I feel doesn't have a capacity issue, just is very popular as everyone can go on it... Though I like the idea of an Omnimover, it would require a lot more work than just using the boat mechanism (and then we'd have no reason for the Fountain Finale to be there )...Thirdly, not too keen on the Forbidden Kingdom to Wanyama link up... Especially with Mexicana in the way, but then again it's something the park needs to work out... Either making them both American (Kingdom becomes Aztec for South America), or Mexican becomes African themed (Diamond Mines, and something else I guess for Rattlesnake)...But still, some awesome ideas...

The News
Considering they were advertising it at my uni under the name DEMOLITION!, I'm not too suprised...But certainly a minority doing it as per the norm... I don't want fees going up though, doubt anyone does really... But really it's very much a case of damned if they do situation... Not saying it's right for the Tories to do it, but odds on Labour may have considered a similar thing if they were in power...It's all Labour's fault that fees exist anyways...

Evidently it's what people actually find offensive...Evidently some people take the internet way too seriously as well... May as well not have bothered suggesting it because what if people don't win and it hurts their little hearts? Some people need to lighten up and realise that these would NOT be serious and are for fun... If you took offense to being called a 'goon', 'credit whore' or 'fanboy' (as per the other site), then you need to look at yourself and think why you're taking it so seriously...

Can we add Biggest Fanboy onto the list then instead?Though after seeing some people's reactions to nominations on other forums for certain awards, I can now understand the lack of wanting negativity... Some people just can't enjoy a laugh...

And Storm Surge fits into this HOW?

Slammer
Why is it so?Thorpe 'apparently' (since I haven't been much this year and they were both usual days of busy times mixed with do not want), have improved it's reliability and other things... Granted Thorpe didn't particularly impress me on my two visits this year, but hey, my mood of seeing 2 coasters down in the morning was never gonna improve... They've evidently tried a lot harder to fix rides with Slammer being the obvious example (yes it broke again, but it's the only existing version of it atm, so hey)...

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
But I'm neither dead nor a girl... So that makes no sense... Wasn' t the zone's actual theme to do with a zombie outbreak? The HHN zones don't really have epically intertwined storylines, just a lot of focus on theming around a specific theme... They could have easily worked well with the ride graveyard theme with some reference to maybe a dead ride op or something silly like that coming back and being angry and bringing back old friends to take the park over...However, if they want to do it again, one path does not a scare zone make...

^If Thorpe put in a Tiny Truckers like ride I would personally go over there and slap whoever made that decision...That's just what they need with their lack of children's rides, a low capacity one

SAW: The Ride
Haha, thanks for the memories of seeing people trying to squeeze into that... Hardly anyone who goes to Thorpe/Alton/Chessie/Lego/Anywhere will have even heard of Dollywood, let alone Mystery Mine... But that's because it's not in an excessively major UK tourist destination in the States... Even with the Smokey Mountains a stone's throw away (as an aside, I really suggest that everyone look into going there, it's amazing), and the general area being a tourist trap, it's certainly not number 1 on many lists...My point is that I reckon even without the branding Thorpe would've got people through the gates with good advertisement... How hard would it have been to advertise a spooky mine/saw mill themed coaster (as per the original posters) to the masses? And who said I was a fan of Thorpe? I very rarely have much good to say about the park through my own personal experiences at it... I'm not bitching about anything, just continuing discussion about Saw and a rather similar ride in America that I've been on... A ride that I happen to rate higher... I do know that the GP are indeed the most important part of any park's income stream, but that doesn't stop them being rather unknowing in terms of ride types and the like, which was my point... How many would know that Stealth and Colossus are done by the same company? Parks seem to go for easy links in order to get guests through the gates... Looking at Thorpe's coasters since Tussauds came in it's very obvious about the gimmicks and such...Colossus - 10 inversionsInferno - Billed as the "World's Greatest Roller-Coaster Experience" during construction... In addition the Nemesis name probably added in order to make many people link the original Towers version with it...Stealth - 'Tallest' and Fastest in EuropeSaw - "First Horror Film Themed Ride" I believe was the term they usedSimply put, it's very easy to manipulate guests into following the park's marketing procedures (None more obvious than with Thirteen's advertising) by putting this that and the other surrounding it... But when people come off fantastic rides saying "It was good, but needs loops", it kinda puts me off many GP... When I go to Towers and see 5/10 minute queues on Oblivion and 20 on Nemesis yet queues of 60 on Rita I just wonder what sort of mind-frame GP have... More often than not bigger and faster do not mean better... TTD in my experience is the singular exception to that rule...I've tangented a bit here... But I stand by my point of the GP not exactly being the brightest bulbs in the box... With the tales of death, underground inversions, letting go of restraints making you fall out and wondering if Vampire does actually spend the entire ride upside down I heard over the years, it's kinda hard to defend them overall...

How Many Trains?
Peter did actually cover himself on his comment by going "Unless they have a problem"...Air always gets long queues anyways regardless because of it's lower throughput and problematic loading system (Prepare for Air... Actually no row 3 seat 2)... Surely that's what the park's managers should be doing? Rather than some random person brought in especially for the job? It's not like any of the parks (general, not just Thorpe) have overally complicated feedback forms now is it? I'm obviously missing something there...

Parks, Rides And Coaster News
Parc Asterix is an awesome park that lacks a second quality ride, a B&M Inverted could just be that ride... Especially as it's very different...And that's the GCI Knight Valley woodie ain't it Mark? That's just bloody insane...

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Well it's just gonna suck this year then obviously...

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
But I LIKED Euro Coaster...Hopefully they'll put the bloody price down though... Overally expensive tbh...Well as long as Spuk Castle is there again I think I'll be happy... That amused greatly as it sounded like Colossus and was such a coaster...

SAW: The Ride
Different ride, different park, I've never compared Thirteen to Saw so why you're finding an urge to I'm not understanding the point... Probably, but that's the general public... Not exactly the brightest bunch in general in regards to rides and such are they?

SAW: The Ride
Gonna go any further into the reason why? Is the reponse going to be along the lines of "MM is generic whilst Saw has a 'story'" What? No way is that true... Firstly the first indoor section which is probs just as long as Saw's, then you go indoors AGAIN for the second lift... Something Saw definitely doesn't do... This is relative... But MM has TWO indoors drops... The second of which is epic... That's about the only part I agree with on Saw for the first drop, but the second indoor drop's extra theming is very suprising...
