Nice to see the Atlantis theme going to be honest, it hasn't fitted in for as long as I can remember visiting the park - I hope they do it properly though, rather than leaving it as it is or it'll just be another mismatched area. As for I'm a Celeb having a Fastrack queue, I'm disappointed but not surprised.

Does anyone know if Dragon's Fury is still missing some of it's track? If so then they have got a lot of work to do in under two weeks!
-
Another thing I find very strange is that they seem to have done away with family and child tickets. For a park that is trying to re-enter the family market, this seems a very bad move, as £60 (or even £30 at half price) for anyone under 1.4m is shocking value for money, so it's a very poor decision to get rid of these and only offer a very expensive one price ticket IMO.

That is not good at all, very disappointed to see so many rides closed, and there's no excuse for it at this stage other than the fact that they are clearly behind on the maintenance front. I'm expecting X to have had some work done on it considering that it was closed in half term when it would have been a good ride to open, and now again for preview weekend. The same applies for Rumba and Loggers, they have no reason to be closed this weekend unless they are having an upgrade. Thorpe are clearly very behind on getting rides ready for the season - they know when the season is supposed to start, this is just poor. I also think it's poor that they have only just released this, as people may have been planning in advance to visit with it in mind that only four rides are closed.

That's not why I upload theme park music - when I look for theme park music I often use YouTube, so uploading theme music to YouTube makes it easier for people to find them. As for construction photos, if the uploader has taken the pictures themselves then I can't see anything wrong with it, it's nice to be able to see how rides are constructed and then have videos to look back on once it's finished.

Thanks, sorry I'm sure someone else sent it to me as well, then again I may have just had it on my PC and uploaded it without remembering where I got it from. With regards to the X pyramid, it could look really nice with a new colour scheme but I can't see it happening sadly.

Don't forget that they are only operating the coasters and a few other rides so running costs will be much lower than throughout the day. They must make money otherwise they wouldn't run the event.
-
I don't see what's wrong with saying one train service, as it means that there is one train in service.
-
What about the ceiling in the second half of the interior queue! I'm sure it used to have one, but when you look up now you just see the warehouse. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on that). The exterior of the ride also needs doing up, including the entrance feature. Also, the robot and battery need to make a return!

That is very true, but if they have got to the stage where they are having to charge £60 on the gate just to be able to do this then something's wrong IMO.
-
Yes, £30 is acceptable, but not as half price, it comes across as more expensive then because you would expect half price to be much less than £30.
-
£30 is still quite expensive for a day at a theme park of Thorpe's standard - good value if it's quiet, but on a busy day I wouldn't be happy with paying that, and it is definitely too much for half price. Whilst I see what they are trying to do, I just think that it's much too expensive now and I can see it putting people off. I'm sure that the management know what they are doing, but it does seem very overpriced this year and just comes across as greed. Given that people will have £60 in their mind, and most will have still paid around £30, I can see Thorpe getting quite a bit of negative feedback from the GP in terms of pricing and value for money this year.
-
Hmm, it probably could have run two then but to be honest I think that factoring in that there were only two major coasters that people had to get on, and the park was pretty much dead one was just about acceptable. (However had the queue got above 20/25 minutes I would have hoped for the second one to be added).

No, I meant that BPB weren't running one train due to laziness, I didn't mention Merlin. A guess for Merlin's reasoning would be that they only had one train built up, which is still poor IMO if that is the case.
-
The main issue with this (aside from it being a downright rip-off) is that people will be looking for an experience worth £60 even if they haven't paid it, as the fact that it's £60 on the gate suggests that the day out will be worth that. Such a poor system.
-
Actually, the first two weekends it was running two trains, I can guarantee this 100% for the second weekend as I was there both days, and I heard from reliable sources that it was on the first weekend on the Saturday as well (not sure about the Sunday). The reason for it running one train on the other weekends is that the wind is too high, and they only have two out of the three trains built up and in the station (and only one of them is fast enough for windy days ATM). I'm not defending it, just explaining that it's down to more than just laziness. EDIT: It was also on two yesterday.
-
£60?! Absolute madness, I don't know how they can justify that ridiculous amount of money, but I'm expecting perfect operations on every peak day based on that! Can't believe the greed.

There's nothing enchanted about them, it's just a block of well decorated chalets which are much too close together.
