  1. Looks nice. The elements seem to be on a smaller scale than a lot of B&M's, so it might actually be intense and certainly forceful. The only con (and it's quite a significant drawback IMO) is that it looks far too short to be an outstanding coaster. With that said, the theming looks amazing and it's really clever that they have incorporated the supports to fit in!
  2. I can't see why anyone would want to do Nemesis and Air, it's wrong to have those two on there IMO as people who haven't been before won't know that there is pretty much no view from those two. Nice to see more parks offering VIP experiences like this though, this is how VIP experiences should be as it doesn't impact on everyone else.
  3. I'm struggling to see how having an annual pass (or even VIP pass) makes people think that they are better than everyone else. At the end of the day, it's just a theme park!

  5. The trouble is that, allegedly all of Merlin's parks have set limitations on how many Fastracks are sold per attraction per day (although I'm sure they bend these to suit themselves when they want to, e.g. Fright Nights). This is supposed to be set so that the main queue still moves at a fair pace, and so that it doesn't have a bad effect on the efficient operation of the rides. When you start adding other things such as priority passes, unlimited Fastrack packages, Reserve N' Queue Ride and now VIP passholders you have a problem, and a right to complain about it. A lot of this could be sorted out by selling less Fastracks per day and fairer batching, but it's the classic thing of putting profit before guest satisfaction.
  6. Four words. People who beep learners (on roundabouts/junctions). Absolute idiots.
  7. It's not the VIP pass holder's fault, it's Merlin for inventing such a thing. It's wrong to have VIP passholders rushing back on again and again on rides whilst the main queue doesn't even more, there's nothing else to say on that, it's just paid queue jumping.

Yeah there was the shower, yellow arch with water coming down, water jets that shoot up, water squirters halfway down the slide, water guns in the queueline and a few more things, most of which are now off or not even there anymore.

Ah, sorry about that, they should fix that as well though as did actually create a good atmosphere, and surely it's not too much to ask for them to fix a sound system?

I don't recall them ever having one, but if it broke then why wasn't it replaced? They only do it occasionally though, I'm talking about hoovering the rafts every time they come into the station so that there is no water in the bottom of them.

It would be much easier and quicker, they could simply put the vacuum in for a few seconds to get rid of most of the water rather than having to get three/four members of staff to turn the rafts over and back again, which would also slow down the operations of the ride even more than they already are!

Does anyone know what happened to the music that used to play outside Storm Surge? It was pretty much the only good thing about the ride yet it hasn't played for ages, it used to play in the station and around the queueline. Also, they really need a water vacuum in the station as the amount of water in the bottom of those rafts is not funny!
  15. Err, what?
  16. Inferno needs new wheel covers, it looks stupid and there are two missing now!
  17. I just can't wait to read their Facebook and Twitter channels!
  18. In my opinion filming on coasters without permission shouldn't be done as it poses a danger to people - if you dropped it, it could hit someone. However, I think that parks should allow filming on gentle dark rides with a camera with a neck strap (this doesn't apply to Thorpe though as they don't have any!)

I don't find Colossus rough, or Smiler for that matter but Saw can be sometimes.
  20. Are you allowed to film on X then? (With the correct equipment of course).
  21. It was very odd, at one stage there were three tables with people on them outside crust in a blocked off VIP are just eating whilst having music blasted at them! Very strange indeed!
  22. Detonator is better without the countdown IMO, but the music needs to return!
  23. This is Slammer we're talking about. Also it's impossible to tell whether all the maintenance has been done or not.
  24. Slammer doesn't look like it will be ready to open next week or anytime soon for that matter, I could be wrong though!
