  1. Yes, Asylum was just constant walking whereas in Studio 13 they stop you twice, which reduced the throughput by 300 - 400 people per hour (that's what I was told anyway - the queue definitely felt slower than Asylum's as well). Cabin in The Woods and My Bloody Valentine both have very low throughputs as well, possibly lower than S13. Saw Alive should be the highest throughput but it seems really inefficient and always has stoppages, so basically none of the mazes have a high enough capacity for such a busy event. I disagree about S13 being the best, the theming was nice but that's where the positives end in my opinion.
  2. This. It ruined a lot of people's visits on Fright Nights and I think it's unfair to trial such a stupid system when people have paid good money to be at the park. We reserved our mazes, got there at the times to find that we still had to wait an hour! It's just completely pointless, and don't get me started on removing Asylum and then bringing in a maze with a lower throughput! Have they learnt nothing? They need high throughput mazes, aside from maybe one which is "the best." Hence why 2011 was my favourite year of Fright Nights.
  3. Rapids do sound like a good addition, but are they really needed when the park already has Bubbleworks? It's not a rapids ride but it is a similar concept, albeit a dark ride as well.
  4. Chessington is in need of another coaster in my opinion, as none of the current ones can cope with queues on anything other than quiet days. Vampire used to shift it's queue relatively efficiently, but sadly this isn't the case any more.
  5. This is fantastic, I will definitely be making a return to Paulton's Park in 2016 if this turns out to be the case! Good on them, they are a perfect example of how a family park should be done. They do need a dark ride though.
  6. Nice to hear a mention of Sleepy Hollow after all this time, personally I hope it is a complete revamp of Spooky 3D as that is in dire need of a refurbishment, it wasn't a bad dark ride once but with the state they've let it get into they may as well change it completely. The description of a "spooky ride" doesn't exactly scream out new coaster, so maybe they've given up with the wild mouse style coaster.
  7. Of course they need advertising, but should they really be advertised so much that the park fails to advertise a new coaster?

  10. Exciting times! It does seem very strange that they aren't marketing it at all, all they seem to care about at the moment is the Enchanted Village!
  11. I think there's supposed to be a few real ones, as well as fake ones. I think I saw the real ones but not 100% sure.
  12. That's one of the most positive changes, considering that opening times are still until 9pm when they should be. I hate the system of day and night wristbands, the best option (in my opinion) is a price reduction for wristbands after 5pm. However, I am worried that they may lose evening trade, as most people are likely to buy a wristband in the morning meaning that, in the long run, they will have no reason to open later unless there are still enough people using tokens. Hopefully this won't be the case, as I would hate to see Brean be yet another park that kicks out at 5/6pm at peak times.
  13. Yes, they did a very good job of it as well, I would say that the two darkrides (Astro Storm and Terror Castle) are worthy of a theme park title, but the overall layout of the park and the number of fair rides (not a bad thing) makes it an amusement park.

  15. Just stick a black warehouse around it and hide it from view/put some fake camouflage netting around it! It's pitch black inside so who cares?
  16. Interesting - they'll have to change the park a lot of they want it to be a theme park, as it's more an amusement park at the moment. New attractions are always good!
  17. I very much hope so, they will be getting a complaint from me if I am turned away from a ride despite having been in the queue - it's the main thing that has been putting me off visiting before but I've decided to give it a try anyway as it looks like quite a nice park.
  18. Closing in September is very strange - I thought they ran a popular Halloween event in October? Also, they are missing out on half term trade. Very strange decision.
  19. Looks very interesting, possibly the support beams for the roof of a Waltzer? (Or similarly shaped ride). I must say I'm looking forward to visiting PWH later this year, having never been before.
  20. Really? I didn't see it made clear anywhere, and I saw countless people doing it in front of staff, who didn't seem to mind. In fact I don't recall seeing it on any of the RNR advertising. Wish they'd just scrap the whole idea.

    Legoland

I've always considered Paultons to be better than Legoland.
  22. Yes really, not everyone takes a phone with them, in fact some people don't have a phone. Furthermore, some people may have a phone that isn't a smart phone, so that can't be used either.
  23. ^ Not everyone takes their phone to a theme park.

  25. Yeah, they look nice (if they look like the one they had out in the park), but there's no point if they are just going to be crammed in like that. What's that got to do with Enchanted Village?
