  1. OMG, that,s impressive! Thorpe Park have delivered on every level with this ride!
  2. They have! On the previous page! We love it.
  3. The Swarm scream sounds freaking amazing! And the ambient noise of machine guns and helecopters flying around is just superb! What an attraction!
  4. I am going in a few weeks and I can't wait!
  5. Yeah, I'm back! The Swarm is next on the list. Keep an eye on Canada Creek over the coming week for new models. :-)
  6. Hmmm. Well, not sure at the moment! Could be a grower!
  7. Well, loving the Swarm scream. Lets hope this makes an appearance at some point in the ride experience.
  8. This really could work out well, just think how good the rock sound tracks were to films like Armageddon and Spiderman. Big action fims with a big action soundtrack. This is going to be a big action ride with loads of special effects, so lets wait and see if Thorpe have actually done something genius or not!
  9. I think these are some of the best adverts we have had for a new ride in this country since Nemesis and Oblivion. I absolutely love the noise the Swarm makes! And these are not your quick and easy sound effects, that sound have been created by a seriously good production studio!
  10. Loving the sound effects! As someone mentioned, its very J.J.Abrams! Fantastic!
  11. Nice to see the trim after the inline twist still leaves some residual speed for the last turn. Overall, it looks good fun! Obviously the video makes it look a little slower than I am sure it will feel in the flesh, but I cant wait to ride!
  12. If you could lean forward then I would agree with you, but you can't when the restraint is down. So unless you can bend your arm between your elbow and your wrist, you are not going to get your hand anywhere near the track.
  13. The irony of a fire truck on fire! Lol
  14. Loving the video! Looks faster than in testing too, so that is encouraging! And for an RAF pilot to say it is fast and stomach churning, then we are in for a treat.
  15. A lot of the problems are as has been mentioned related to on and off loading. What they don't seem to check in winter testing are the restraint systems, which trip the ride out if not secured properly or if a faulty micro switch is present. They just keep the water dummies secured and send the coaster round and round. If anything will cause some serious delays, it will be to do with the restraints!
  16. I remember when these forums used to consist of enthusiasts and experts!!! It would seem that those days are long gone after reading some of these recent comments! ;-)
  17. It has just been shown on the Jonathan Ross show! He announced the new ride and showed some photos including the broken dummies pic, then then went on to say how it would go 100 MPH and he would be one of the first to ride it!
  18. Well according to the Jonathan Ross show tonight, The Swarm will go 100 miles per hour and he is going to be one of the first to ride it! LMAO.
  19. I think there may be 2 water skims. This one we can see is after the corckscrew. I think we were all under the assumption there was one at the turnaround by the helicopter.
  20. Great pic thanks Ricky. So it looks to me like there is a mound of mud under the outboard engine. This would explain how the wing has managed to support itself without a fuselage and pretty much confirms to me that there will be no more theming added to the forward fuselage section which will be in keeping with the plans.I also notice what looks like the toilets going up in the back left of the picture, which is cool. Does anyone know if the aft section of the fuselage is in its final location or is it set to be moved a little closer to the wing? From this angle it looks a little out of place. Until we get plants and landscaping in, I guess it will look a little unfinished at the moment.
  21. To be honest we could easily have got exactly the same trains as Raptor and the fact that there are some differences is a credit to Thorpe Park. It would have been a lot easier and a lot cheaper to go with a previous design. In any case, it is not as if the Thorpe theming does not go with the standard theming!!! What's not to like?
  22. Brilliant! I love this type of negative/positive advertising. Lets make it look like this ride is going to rip you to bits!!! Well done Thorpe, the kids will love this.
  23. Well lets just hope we get something like that. I cant wait to hear the real music for this ride! Everything else is epic so far.
  24. Yeah registered aircraft has no bearing on its airworthiness. It is a bit like your car being registered with the DVLA, but it may not have a valid MOT, which means it is useless. This helicopter will not be airworthy, but will still probably be registered.......hope that makes more sense!! Anyway, besides all that, it is great to see that the plans the Thorpe submitted have been, thus far, adhered to! Excited to see it develop over the coming weeks before opening day!!
  25. The transition from the zero g to the inclined loop is going to be insane!
