Wasn't it someone that was stuck on the ride that tweeted that she was left upside down for X amount of time - I mean really - how can you confuse being on a lift hill to being upside down. Such a non story yet you have people outraged by it - does my nut in

Took that pic last Monday - that's a bit ol' bit of land they are flattening out You think Falls is wet? I went on Raft Racers and got so drenched that my bottom half didn't fully dry until I got home - thankfully it was sunny but I was walking around like a penguin for most of the day

Oooer - it's like Nemesis Infernos rocket LUNCH all over again

Hmmm new destination eh? Can't say I'm surprised but it will be nice if they improve the 2nd sequence. Bag room was closed again on Monday though it was dead - main gates were shut so we went through fast track entrance - there was only about 6 of us in the pre show then we merged with a bigger group before boarding. 4th ride was better than the last go and I could actually hear the audio this time. The live actor part seemed more intense which was nice and the reactions of some of the other people were brilliant. Still enjoy it but don't think I would queue more than half an hour(ish)

I don't think you'll be the only one annoyed as there must be people who had planned a visit Tues-Thurs. Fright Nights isn't to everyones taste but it is the parks busiest time of year so I guess if it means they will be fully prepared during the close days for when FN starts then they might get less complaints from the GP. You could always watch some POVs of....stealth?!!! Damn this has made me realise that once Fright Nights are over, the closed season will fast approach - argh!

Oh dear Lord - those dolls seriously freaked me out. I used to be terrified of clowns but am ok with them now. What would seriously creep me out though - is if there was a maze (don't know how it could be done) but based around the movie Sinister - that demon thing, whatever the hell he is terrifies me

I used to drink tea all the time in my teens (couldn't even stand the smell of coffee) and I would put 5 spoons of sugar in - when you get to the end of the drink its just like syrup sat there so I cut it back to 2 or 3 and you can't really taste the difference - probably because with 5 spoons it doesn't all dissolve. And I wonder why I've had so many fillings

To be honest, for me personally I find it quite difficult judging the time of certain queues - I remember once queuing for Swarm and thinking "Oh it isn't too bad" and joined the queue - didn't realise that they had the flaming extended queue open which was a pain in the butt. When I went on DBGT the second and third time the queue board did look fairly accurate but after having our pic taken and bothering the person in the shop the time just flew (and we were definitely on the ride before the stated time). The queue does wind around a lot but you can see a lot of it standing outside. What I did on my first go was asked the people outside when it was opening - they said they didn't know so I had a gander in the shop and asked them and they said midday so my friend and I just hung around the entrance to it from about 11.30 - and once it opened the queue was pretty big so its worth just waiting about a bit. The bag drop was shut when I last went - thought it a bit odd at first but as long as you don't have anything bulky it doesn't really matter. Yeah Saw does have a shop in the queue but I think ive only seen it open a couple of times. Hope you have a great day - what I would do is have a look around DBGT to see if there is movement from staff, ask if they have a rough idea of opening (and then ask shop staff) then go to Saw and come back if you have time (which you probably will). Argh I would hate to lose a phone on a ride although I don't take my current phone on, my tiny little old phone I used to always keep in my zip up jacket pocket - though to be fair if I lost it it was a piece of crud anyway. I did lose a hairband on Colossus though - was a bit miffed - weird thing is I've worn hairbands/headbands (the things you use to keep yer fringe out of your eyes) on Stealth and its never come off. Very odd!

I REALLY need to get to Blackpool in 2018. Looks really good!

Oh Gawd - bikes - jeez. Generally I am ok on them (I can even ride without stabilizers now!) but my younger sister used to always fall off, or end up crashing into something - I'm not quite sure how or why but I used to get very anxious going out on bike rides with her. I had an incident a few years ago now - was cycling into town going very fast down a quiet road, turned into a public carpark which, back then was gravel - thought to myself "hmmm, should probably slow down" so I stupidly slammed on the brakes - went flying head first over the handlebars. Got up (first checked to see if anyone saw), then had to put my bike back in the right position as the wheels were a bit skewed, cried and realised my knee was in agony and I had grazed both hands. Hobbled home in tears and spent he next few days walking like an 80 year old thanks to chronic knee pain

Yes there are 2 different VR parts and the bit in between you do walk a little bit (don't want to type too much). Regarding queue time boards, I've only been on DBGT 3 times - first time we were first in, second and third time we queue for about 20 mins less than it stated - but obviously this varies as with every ride - queue boards can't be 100 per cent accurate. Yes the queue is outside but lots of it under shelter, and you have 2 photo points (if they are open) which makes things a bit more interesting (if you're easily pleased like me!) - they have the obligatory shop where you can purchase a bottle of water for a mere £50 aswell . I love listening the the music in the queue - the music is fantastic! Oh lord - I remember going on Space Mountain back in 2000 and was wondering where to put my bag - was shocked I had to take it on and thought I'd lose it but I was squashed in so tight it wasn't going anywhere - still find it odd though - wonder how many people have lost bags/loose change/phones etc on that ride

Coffee all the time unless I feel ill then I drink tea. Both with milk and 5 sweeteners

I must admit I have on many an occasion had to switch off the JK show because the rowing chavs give me a headache. I don't watch it as much these days (I used to really fancy JK - embarrasing I know ) As for colds - yeah they can make you feel awful - I swear by Vitamin C. I'm fortunate that I haven't had a cold for nearly a year but on the down side when I do get one it inevitably ends up heading to my chest and resulting in a chest infection.

Yup - money talks! What I find helpful when I'm feeling particularly crud about my teeth is watch a bit of Jeremy Kyle show - it works wonders!

Well the Vampire music is pretty good - probably not great going off when you are in a lesson. I used to have The Smiler tune as my ringtone and last year, not long after the incident happened I went on Saw and when I got off and collected my bags I noticed I had a missed call - my phone volume was on maximum so not sure if anyone heard it. I've since changed the ringtone to the Saw theme and now when it rings it just makes me jump

Agree - I actually quite like Colossus (this is quite controversial but I prefer it over Inferno) BUT in all honesty I can't see them getting new trains or getting a paint job - God knows how much that would cost and if they would even want to invest in it - I'd also like to see the medusa pit looking nice and clean again but its been skanky for years! My most recent ride on Colossus was beyond painful but then I was near the back - usually I find it much better nearer the front. Would be so much better with lap bars - no head banging!

Oh blimey - is there nothing that can be done or is it too late? I absolutely hate my teeth - I have had looooots of fillings (I put it down to eating 2 packs of polo mints every day when I was a teenager) I hate having fillings - would rather have a tooth pulled. So far I've had 5 tooth extractions (that included both bottom wisdom teeth), 6 if you include the one I yanked out myself, plus a root filling thing. 2 different lots of braces when I was a lot younger which I disliked but they did kind of help - I fainted years ago and went face down on concrete slabs which knocked half of my front tooth out - was so petrified of the dentist that I was walking around with just half a tooth for 18 months before getting it seen to - now the capped tooth is stained which I am really self conscious of(I've even tried household bleach on it but it doesn't work). And I',m fairly certain I have zero enamel left on my teeth thanks to being bulimic in my early-mid 20's. Wow I just typed an essay Yeah I've heard morphine is pretty good - wouldn't mind trying it!
-
Rob - your post made me laugh - I will try and leave the pliers alone (I've also tried tweezer and those scrape things you get in mini dental kits) Ian - jeez how many teeth have you lost?! Might have a bash with a cotton bud, see if that does anything I've never had gas (in the dentist term of things)!! But sounds quite fun
-
Thanks for the advice Rob - Oooh a Valium injection sounds nice - I'm tempted to back to my old dental practice even though my dentist has retired, the one that took over is very good apparently- only problem is that it is private and Lord knows how much it would cost (last time I went it was about £50 for a consultation). Ian-s - I think I read somewhere before about your teeth and the Equinox- I would love to give you some Valium but they are very precious to me haha - I can however make you a tin foil hat! I think I'm panicking because I've got this sodding root stuck and I have no idea how a dentist would remove it (I'm thinking they may need to slice into my gum - lush). I've even bought pliers but can't get the damn thing out
-
That is crazy!! That empty train was upside down for a fair while, jeez As for the £5mil fine - I'm quite surprised it wasn't more as it was down to negligence. Alton Towers to their credit did admit full responsibility from day one - but that doesn't take away the fact that something like this happened when it was avoidable- lessons may have been learnt but those individuals involved in that smash have to live with what happened for the rest of their lives - yes they would have got huge compensation but that means nothing when you've lost a limb/incurred serious injuries - and thats just the physical suffering.

I went on it in the snow.....twice while sat at the front - that was beyond painful

I am in pain - had a filling fall out a couple of months ago which was fine (well, not totally as there wasn't much tooth left) - a couple of weeks ago the tooth was annoying me so I decided to remove it myself - big mistake - the tooth came out fine - but now the root is still there and there is no way I can dig it out (I have tried several times) I have a massive fear of the dentist even though I quite enjoy tooth extraction - it's bloody filling that I hate. And my old dentist has retired so I need to find one that is understanding.....or just take a load of Valium
-
Yup I've given up hope of it returning. Bloody love that ride - it was perfect for the whole family and got you just the right amount of moist(!). Rumba you come off dry, and Tidal Wave you may as well take bloomin' shower gel with you. Not even going to mention Storm Turd. Loggers was a Thorpe Park classic and I think a lot of people will miss it - lets face it - it's not like it was unpopular (though saying that Storm Turd gets a ridiculous queue). I hate seeing rides SBNO - like when Rodeo at CWOA was SBNO for a year it just looked awful and I don't think it's great from the GPs perspective. Well I guess at least they have hidden Loggers pretty well - until you get on Samurai!
