Just looking at the picture of you at the top is making me get nervous sweats! Massive congratulations on doing it though! Like Han said, I would never have the guts to do it because I wouldn't trust the bungee cord
  2. As said above, it's all about Primark guys
  3. This gets me excited for September
  4. I agree with Ryan. I'll game on my iPod when I'm bored or need to pass time. Currently I do game more on my iPod than anything else, but that's only because I don't have a console here with me at uni. I do sometimes game on my laptop though. When I'm at home I might occasionally go on the PS3, but I'm not really all that big of a gamer. I do still prefer to sit and play on a console than play on my iPod though - it's far more enjoyable.
  5. Omg Imagine Dragons There's a load of others there I quite like, but there are more that I don't (Bring Me The Horizon - who the hell wants to see them?!). Not that it matters anyway, I'm too skint to go #studentbudget
  6. My first visit to Thorpe was in 2001, so anything before that is an obvious no. As is The Fifth Dimension at Chessington, seeing as I would have been riding that whilst being minus figures... The only ones I can safely say I did do are Fungle and CCR. I probably did do a couple others but I don't remember it if I did. My first visit to Chessie was around 2005/6 (I think), so I haven't done anything that was at Chessie. Well, I might have done Bubbleworks before the retheme, but I don't think I did. Parents did ride Samurai whilst it was there though.
  7. Ahh okay. When I went on it with him he was yelling like a loony - was pretty funny. Have got a pic of us on it but I don't have a scanner here at uni so Marc can upload it, if he can be bothered.
  8. Did Marc do his crazy yelling as you went round?
  9. I was thinking that myself Peaj. Looks like it will be the only way they can have more 'spring' shots without us freezing to death. Alternatively people could just layer up t-shirts and have some spring looking jacket on top. This could stop us becoming stupidly cold whilst riding, and would take away the need to strip before riding

    Logger's Leap

I don't know about everybody else, but I would prefer to have a slightly worse ride experience than not have the ride at all. And as I said above, it really does not affect the ride experience at all... Common sense may say it should be put back up, but budgets say otherwise. If the money was there to do it, I'm sure it would have been done. Obviously it isn't. Marketability and profits are obviously going to be placed slightly higher on the list of priorities - if the park makes no profit, where do they get the money to keep running? Marketing needs to come first so money can be made, and hence ride experiences can be improved...

    Logger's Leap

Having ridden Logger's without it's tunnel, I can say it really does not change the experience too much. It will NOT ruin EVERYONE'S day by not being there. That notion is absurd. The park have spruced up a load of other areas to improve guest experience. This one little thing is not enough to overshadow everything else the park have done. Honestly, what is worse - the tunnel not being there but the ride being open, or the ride being completely shut?
  12. But you were feeling ill yesterday... As for the billboard, sounds great that's it's effective in other rows! I experienced it whilst riding front left, and it certainly works there!
  13. I honestly see no problem with it...
  14. Oh yeah, the billboard! REALLY effective when going forwards, not so much going backwards...
  15. See, I disagree with this. Ian and I came off after riding backwards and both agreed that it feels pretty much the same as going forwards (as did the others when they got off). The only real differences are obviously the near misses being less noticeable, and a bit of disorientation because you can't see where you're going. Backwards is definitely a surreal experience - it did make me feel a bit queasy. It wasn't bad, but it is definitely gimmicky, and in my opinion forwards Swarm is MUCH better. The queue time said 40 mins, when in reality it was only about 5-10. Put it this way (well, Ian's way because he said this, I just agreed), "if I'd queued the full 40 minutes to ride it backwards, I'd have been very disappointed."

    Music

You have limited the songs, or type of music, you are looking at. I was talking about her well known stuff. The mainstream stuff sells, so if a song is not mainstream then the majority of people are not going to have heard of it, are they? For example, some of her most popular songs are either about falling in love (Romeo and Juliet, or whatever it is called) or breaking up, e.g.that appalling WE ARE NEVER EVER EVER, GETTING BACK TOGETHER! (Possibly one of the WORST songs I have ever heard). People won't see her as original if that's all that ever becomes popular. This isn't her fault, and she's clever for realising what sells. But she's not only going to stick to whatever she wrote about in her less popular songs, because that won't make her any money. Therefore she will (probably) continue to be less original as that is what people (not me though, lol) want to hear. Yes, she is original in that she is writing her OWN material, but she is NOT original in that she just writes about the same thing over and over.

Yeah but all Taylor Swift can sing about is falling in love and breaking up. Hardly original I'd say.
  18. Hey, I don't tell people what to find sexy. It's not like it's still doing that. Pretty sure if people had voted me as sexiest female back them most of them would have been done for peadophilia
  19. I get why people don't always want to trust a professional opinion, because you do sometimes end up with doctors who just don't tell you anything, or claim you're fine when you clearly know you're not. However, when it comes to searching for symptoms and a potential diagnosis, you do have to be careful. You run the risk of seeing symptoms that are similar to your own and, because you're so desperate for an answer, you then attribute a load of other symptoms to yourself, even if you don't have them. Now I'm not saying that's what you've done Mer, but it can happen. You appointment obviously didn't go to well, so perhaps it's worth trying again now you have a clear idea of what it could potentially be? Even if it's not that, you still have a list of symptoms that describe what you're experiencing perfectly (just going by what you've said, as I have never seen this happen to you/experienced it myself), and that could help get a diagnosis. A few of years back I got what appeared to be an insect bite on my thigh (this was in the winter months). I ignored it (as you do), but then it grew and it became extremely painful for me to walk. It filled with pus, made my leg swell, and when I tried to get the pus out it came out mixed with blood. Eventually the amount of pus dwindled down and it was pretty much just blood coming out. By this point it looked like I had a nipple on my leg I went to the doctor, she swabbed it and sent it off for testing. I was given antibiotics and it cleared up (but not before I was left with a nice gaping hole in my leg, lol), however I was never actually told what they were testing for, or what the results even ended up being! Unfortunately, a couple of months later another one popped up higher up on my leg. The only good thing is that I knew what it was and got it treated straight away. Still hurt like hell though. I did get a blood test for diabetes, but I never really understood why I was getting it. I was only 15, but they didn't even explain anything to my mum. Luckily I haven't had anymore pop up, so yeah - win.
  20. Writing a qualitative report. Conducting a discourse analysis. That is all.
  21. I honestly think I wouldn't have done so bad with the bowling if my shoes actually had some form of grip on them. Seriously guys, it was like trying to bowl whilst standing in a puddle of lube.
