THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Paving in a station?! lol love it and it seems to blend so well with the wooden parts of those air gates :DI wonder if those speakers will play anything special as each train departs the station?

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Good grief, couldn't resist a cheeky look at the posted video during lunch. I must say she looks divine, that drop looks just as perfect as I'd envisaged over and over since the full plans were released. Plus the sound! goodness me, hints of that classic B&M roar, they remembered to fill the track section with sand right?! :POne thing that is bugging me though, I've been scanning through numerous forums and I'm shocked at some of the reactions to say the least. "It's too short" and "Doesn't look very fast", seem to be the most popular. Where have you been all this time? the plans have been available since Febuary 11th last year and numerous forums have posted them not to mention all the excellent pictures everyones been taking. Theres also a couple of decent recreations on Youtube. There can be a world of difference to how a ride looks and how it actually feels, this is a bulky ride with a heavy train,I believe it's stated that they are four times the width of a standard coasters and such is why the inversions are long and drawn out.

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Any piece of active theming such as this would be a plus in my books and yes certainly easy to maintain.Bit late with my thoughts here but.....wow! Loving those testing pictures, the train looks so small going through the inclined loop. It kind of shows just how much the track section and supports will dominate the area around the island and queue.I think most of all I'm looking forward to a close up shot of the picture below, hopefully Tuesday will bring us either a testing video or a decent onsite update, can't wait to hear her rumble around that track

The helicopter plans below compared with the faint colours that we can see in Diesel's photo seem to be a good match, top work on that as I had completely missed it

Rant
I was actually feeling good about today at work after all the rushing around and general panic of the last two days.I then get to my car and find out that my wing, bumper and light unit have been hit by another car. Suprise suprise, nobody has come forward yet to admit whats happened. This damage has clearly been caused by a local resident moving their own car out of the space in front along said stretch of road. I will be checking every car that parks along that road and I've put my own car on the drive in the hope that whoever has caused this will see my house and come forward.I'm not looking to pick a fight with anyone, I'm just looking for some honesty and someone to foot the bill. As it stands this could easily cost me over a hundred quid, like most people I simply don't have money to burn and on top of that I have a car that can't be driven at night. Do people not realise the knock-on effect these actions cause?

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
I'm saying nothing....I agree, those LED's are going to look fantastic at night and maybe create some great 'artsy' photo oppertunities. With this addition it kind of gives some balance as you come out of the dome and into the park with the Colossus on your left and The Swarm on the right with NI towards the back alongside Stealth, the picture below sort of illustrates this (obviously minus Swarm )Then again it might just be the anesthetic

THE SWARM: Speculation & Theories
Wasn't the whole water contamination thing to do with the main lake? They had to revise the original plan slightly due to this very issue?I don't see how this could be a problem considering it will be placed within a controlled pond on the island itself along with the water jets.

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Yesterday was a bit of a hectic day being the first day at work so I haven't had a chance to comb through the new pictures and throw my two cents at it so to speak. In it's present state yes the island looks rather exposed and theming looks sparse but theres a number of units yet to be installed and the small matter of all the area fencing to be taken care of which should 'bulk' up the general island space, the angle of the camera doesn't help either.I'm sure the roof situation was brought up a few weeks ago? I'm pretty disappointed that the station is likely to be exposed to the elements. The main factor being that dark echoey cold feel that churches give off as you walk inside. I personally don't want bright sunlight beaming down on me considering the context of the attraction nor do I want to be rained upon if I'm stood in a queue for an hour and it's pouring down, it would be nice to be dry even if it's only for 5mins or so....Also an enclosed building would retain the bass from any soundtracks or station announcements really well with that huge roof structure, I'm pretty sure lighting would look awesome along those trestles. My own personal gripes aside, I think the decor on the whole looks fantastic and I'm very impressed with every update that passes.
