Just a quick update on Gatekeepers progress....

Was this ever not the case? ..still it's generated some sort of discussion after a very quiet couple of weeks! Looking at the last set of aerial pictures taken on the 21st November it doesn't show any sign of track installation, or even suggests that it would follow soon. If anything I'm stunned that we haven't seen any PR / advertising / teaser campaigns kick in as yet, I mean even a revamped 2013 page on the official site or even some additional content would generate a little buzz so to speak.

Having only recently ridden Vampire for the first time, I instantly got the impression walking around the queue and station area that the original trains would have looked awesome swooping through the trees and transylvania. As much fun as it was, there were parts where I found it a little jerky. I can remember following the conversion during 2001 and seeing them put the carriages into storage for a while, makes me wonder what happened to them all. Pretty sure I see one pop up on some backstage photo at a Six Flags park not long ago.....

I see Djurs Sommerland have revealed their new coaster for 2013..... (taken from their facebook page) The first thing that came to mind when I saw this was "Jet Rescue" at Sea World Australia.

Nevermind that shuttle coaster concept this compact woodie looks like it could be an awesome addition to any park. Small footprint, speed, banking and airtime.....Drayton? Flamingo? Are you listening

When is next working day not next working day? ........When Royal Fail are invloved! Last week I had to wait 3 days for a parcel, rang them up and was told by some highly sarcastic woman that I'd need to fill out some compensation form and that this is a very rare occurance. Fair enough then I thought, these things happen but then this week yet again, order was done and dusted Monday and I'm still waiting for it! I'm just amazed that such a thing could happen again, I made an order yesterday for some car parts from the same area of the midlands in which I was charged the same for next day as Royal Mail. The order wasn't even dispatched until 3:45pm and yet was on my doorstep at 10am this morning, the box was about the same size as me! I appreciate they handle a ton of mail on a daily basis but then so do "UK Mail" themselves, I mean how hard can it be to deliver a 30g jiffy bag?! It's just poor poor service all round

When I first read about this I was expecting it to be based at somewhere like Paultons Park, this is right up their street considering the target audience.

I very much doubt it as the rebar has only just surfaced in the last couple of days, I would expect to see a scattering of structure towards the end of the month with a view to going vertical from early October.....

The only track I like from her happens to be a remix by Disclosure, great track though.....sounds a lot like the sort of House music comming out of the late 90's, those were the days......

Picture isn't loading for me but I'll assume it's the one they've just put on FB. After a brief look at the plans it looks to me like the foundations for the maintenance building, so glad to finally see some actual progress!

Ah the Silver Dollar City woodie, can someone please post this in the questions for Thorpe Park topic Liking the whole "Big Grizzly Mountain" twist on the BGM series of coasters. Although in the case of DLP they already have the best version of BGM out of all the parks by some distance so I couldn't imagine the system being changed just yet....

Another Ian Mansfield video thats well worth a watch for classic towers & Nemesis construction.

I really should learn to post at the same time as my vote, either way I'd still say RNRC. RNRC is a Heavily themed indoor inverting coaster with a number of different audio / light shows available each time a train is launched, whereas Rita is well....erm, it's like when you choose a pre-made coaster layout on RCT and accidentally plonk it down somewhere. The ride itself is "ok" but ruins the whole Dark Forest vibe as it's stuck in this like UGland tundra.

Raptor trains by a country mile, X flights & Wild Eagles just look so tacky and bland which is a shame becuase they both look like decent coasters as far as the layout is concerned.
