  1. Opening hours for last operation week have now reverted to normal. The park is open everyday now up to closed season with November weekdays closing at 4pm and the last weekend closing at 5pm
  2. So four rides closed today at the resort [2 major with one of those being Tombs]. Really want to know what's happened to Tombs as it just seems like it's just died towards the end of summer, never to reopen [unless there's something new happening we don't know about]. No idea what that's about. The park is open until 4pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends and then 8pm on Howl' O Ween Dates.

Very strange rule there, I hope it doesn't last too long, like that 'no teenagers' rule Rumba had a few years ago now.
  4. That entrance centre piece for the Big Top maze looks stunning, potentially the best themed element for Halloween we've seen yet at Thorpe. Shame the big Top won't open until 8 on the preview night [which will get massive queues], however there must be a good reason behind that I.E media events or something.
  5. Likes Legoland more than Chessie despite his username.
  6. Tomorrow is another ban!
  7. Looks an interesting area especially on the dark ride point, hopefully this could turn out to be a well themed area for Legoland Billund. Wonder where this area will be going [since Ghost replaced that gold mine thing and kids coaster]. I like how Lego are gradually adding more dark rides to their parks now [shame Windsor is a good few step behind the other parks though due to it's planning issues].
  8. Good to see she is still in good spirits despite her trauma. It's a great shame though she ended up making that decision as it sounded like things were starting to look up before getting a lot worse where amputation was the only option. Whether we'll see Smiler open again this year is another question but no doubt it'll have s large boycott group.
  9. Today is a sad day for Efteling as former attraction designer Tony Van De Ven has died aged just 71, following complications of a stroke. Source Loopings & Efteling Facebook http://www.looopings.nl/weblog/4396/Efteling-grootheid-Ton-van-de-Ven-plotseling-overleden.html Van De Ven was the primary designer for attractions at Efteling for many years starting when he designed Spooksplot in the mid/late 1970's until retiring in 2003, however it is still believed he may have still put a hand in many additions after including Baron. Some of his most greatest/notable work at Efteling include Fate Morgana, Droomvlucht, Villa Volta & Vogel Rock.
  10. If I bought Thorpe Park, I'd set plans to build a heavily immersive themed top spin. Then I'd cancel it last minute to see how many pages of debate it'll cause.
  11. The lie indeed is 3, I haven't ridden the Dragon during every visit, though the only ocassions in recent times I haven't been on it was during my last visit and Christmas (the latter being because it was closed) 1/ I did indeed see Linford Christie. He was working out in our indoor athletics centre whilst I was helping out during an open day (our uni sees quite a few athletes around including the Jamaican Olympics team too). 2/ I do indeed own a coaster wheel, I recently purchased it from Blackpool which came from the Big One. Altitude & Whatever, it's your turn now so whoever calls shotgun gets to go first.
  12. Here we go then, 1/ I saw Linford Christie working out at my university 2/ I own a roller coaster wheel 3/ I've ridden dragon ride at Legoland Windsor during every visit
  13. Out of interest, does anyone know if/when tickets for the pass holder preview event will become available?
  14. This makes me excited, very excited. I'm so glad they've finally got the trains ready.
  15. Bobblejaan does look quite a bizarre place, but that dark ride though sounds fairly good. I guess it's not just thorpe, chessie etc. cutting their hours then. That Rapids element looks interesting, shame it no longer works (and probably never will), it interests me how they installed a second route to avoid using that.
  16. Shame the park is only closing at 5pm for weekends before Fright Nights, but I guess during this time it's much quieter being the transition between the busy summer season and bustling Fright Nights. The 4pm closings after Fright Nights don't surprise at all, but it's strange how the park won't be open on the second weekend of November now yet is still open on the week days (up to the 6th) considering it'll probably be much quieter then. I just hope 2016 is a much better season for the park (or Merlin overall)
  17. Makes me happy that Swarmy is still your number one (yet it astounds me X is still there just). Despite being very impressed with Space Mountain on my last DLP trip (missing it in April), I won't be updating my top 10's just yet until I do Efteling in November.
  18. Looks promising stuff so far, that circus tent in the previous page looks very good, hopefully it looks like this maze will be quite well themed despite its location. I'm excited for this new maze (though it's a shame Studio is gone for good).
  19. Part 3 of the Disneyland Paris TPM Vlog/trip is now up for you all to enjoy. In this instalment, the adventure concludes featuring an active but emotional farewell to the series. Part two has also been re-uploaded [for the third time] due to some issues with the Let It Go segment, which has limited availability of the video [and may well need to be sorted again]. Let the claimant go Disney! For some reason, these blogs have been quite hassling to edit, in the way it almost feels like I'm trying to build The Smiler.
  20. Well if it's anything like Helix or Blue Fire, that is a possibility, but we will have to wait and see, 'speculation'. Very big emphasis on the 'could beat'.
  21. Cant believe I've just realised Premium holders have to pay £1 to reserve park tickets each visit. Shame First plastic bags, now this, what's next?
  22. Just wait until 2017 though at PBP, if everything rumoured so far is correct, we will have another fantastic big coaster in the UK (one that could even knock Nemy off the top spot for some). Tbh Blackpool & Disney Sea are both different parks in many ways. Disney Sea offers highly immersive and experiences and theming (that tower of terror, drools) whilst Blackpool is more of a interesting selection of new and old rides. Most of the coasters there are actually pretty good.
