  1. yeah agreed. saw was actually brilliant this year on my 2 run throughs. in my opinion, it's really just got good. cabin ill be sad to see leave too, best maze ive ever done at thorpe :-(. and yeah, MBV needs to go. I actually thought it was great last year but this year and in 2013 it was ridiculously awful. I wont care if it leaves at all.
  2. oh come on, containment was great fun for a tenner. at least on my run through..
  3. all I'm gonna say is I still have no idea what the IP is, but I think he's right. the clues just appear to be really obscure..
  4. alright I understand that but surely if you essentially got told or at least hinted towards what the IP would be (or given the clues to work it out) on a backstage tour (that any paying member of the public can experience)..then we can get told, as members of the public, too?
  5. well could you at least post in spoiler tags what the IP you believe the clues in big top allude to is?
  6. I personally think that they need to take the theme of swarm and stick it into a scare maze. kinda how sub species is loosely linked with the nemesis theme/monster, a maze themed on some sort of mutation or whatever of the swarm monsters would be so cool...
  7. I didn't notice that on the code on the computer in containment, despite me looking through it all for a clue... good find! EDIT: if the clues in the big top are legit....the IP they seem to suggest is incredibly boring in my opinion. don't get your hopes up
  8. I'm still not getting it. figaro...kenny the clown...doesn't ring a bell
  9. the only clues I'm aware of in the big top is the cogs in the jack in the box... :/
  10. the dentist room was room 3...but I'm jealous. the 2 dentist people were absolutely shocking when I went, just shouted once when we came in and then sat there for the rest of the 5 minutes staring at us blankly, giving us no help or hints or even interaction. the rest of containment was great though
  11. MOD EDIT Posts split from 2015 topic for 2016 discussion... I'm so sad the lionsgate mazes are leaving next year. cabin will be missed :-(
  12. can confirm I did containment and there was lots of random items in 3 of the rooms relating to london, and I'm pretty sure there was a tube map in the second room with the safe in it. nothing else really though except mentions of london were all I could see, and nobody really got a chance to look at them properly with the actors prowling around, and of course the time-limit and the fact that we were looking for clues to help us escape. the most notable mention of london would be: so yeah, lots of mentions of london in containment but apart from that...nothing else really. kind of grasping at straws to be honest , but it was definitely a reccuring theme. anyway I still have no clue where and what the clues to WC16 were in the Big Top..
  13. see, I can't agree with this. I went yesterday and cabin was by far the best maze (as I've said earlier, it was just ridiculous, so so many actors everywhere). anyway, I saw a large variety of different monsters this year. the surgeons, the mask dudes, some generic monster looking guy in a hillbilly outfit with some kinda furry face (wasn't a werewolf?? didn't recognise him from the film either but whatever), and also some guy behind this glass window with half a face, which was really really well done. and they're just the ones I can remember!! only things missing from last year were the ballerina girl and fornicus so yeah, can't really say they skimped on the outfits this year. nearly every character except the lab looking dudes were different, and all of them looked great :-).
  14. could you put in spoiler tags what it was??
  15. could someone put in spoiler tags what the clues for WC16 were in Big Top?? I purposefully looked for them throughout the whole maze last night but couldn't see anything of note :-(

    SAW: Alive

saw: alive was absolutely brilliant yesterday. pigs everywhere, actors in traps who still managed to get good scares and a brilliant police woman actor at the start who put a gun to my head . I despised it last year, but it was extremely impressive on my run through yesterday... much better than MBV at the very least. it wasn't even particularly that scary (imo due to the conga line format making everyone feel safer) but it was just great fun and a really impressive maze in general. I'm glad it's improved and is no longer an awful maze at fright nights in a lineup of generally great ones, as it was in the past 2 years :-).
  18. yeah, I went yesterday and there was no smoke at all. dissapointing. however, inferno was absolutely insane yesterday...didnt even feel like I was riding the same inferno I have been for years. I don't know what's happened to it but it was so intense, I loved it. definitely made me appreciate the ride a lot more :-).
  19. I was at thorpe yesterday, can confirm them end of the line hoodies have nothing to do with WC16 and are in completely different sections to the WC16 shirts (which were pretty cool).. these hoodies are just called 'slogan hoodies'. I even saw people wearing them!! :-)
  20. what on earth is that they pour on you?? and I saw the ceremony for face it alone yesterday, they all got given cabin in the woods...which was by far the best maze yesterday. just absolutely insane
  21. that guy came out of face it alone topless.. covered in white stuff with half his trousers down and a ball gag in his mouth. jesus christ anyway I just got back from fright nights and it was amazing, miles better than last year. ill post a review tomorrow :-)

    Scarefest

lets be real though, none of the thorpe mazes (except if they're during face it alone) are extreme enough (compared to something like sub species, from the early reviews at least) to recieve an "unrated' rating this year. I have a feeling next year they'll try to one-up towers, who seem to have introduced 2 quite extreme mazes this year, in terms of scares and extremity...thorpe has always been the more "extreme" park overall so it wouldn't suprise me. I'm quite dissapointed this year at how tame and normal the big top seems, I was expecting something a little different and more extreme from the marketing. that's just me though

  24. ah ok that's cool then never mind!! I really don't mind losing. does the band you get if you lose affect your maze experiences, or is it only for the roming actors? :-)
  25. I know!! but I've heard it's ridiculously difficult and I know me and all my friends will be awful at it . I want to at least get through the first room I guess, or I've paid 10 quid for a 5 minute experience :/
