I think it would be cool if they split the group in two right from the start in MBV. really cool. imagine if they kept one person behind on their own whilst the other group goes off. that would be terrifying too..
-
so guys, I'm thinking of doing face it alone either this year or next, but really wanna know what I'm dealing with. if anyone who's done it before could describe what happened to them in their experience in detail (pm me maybe???) that would be great, just so I know what I'm getting into, thanks. .

agreed. the whole "minds wanted" thing is way too dark to link in with a doctor who theme in my opinion. and the "minds wanted" marketing is much stronger and more prominent than these teasers... so yeah I really don't think it's a doctor who IP, but I could be wrong.

a big reveal of the rides theme/features on the 10th of october maybe?? :/

just to add to the general thoughts, I dont find anything about the big tops marketing to be 'cliché' (except the fact that it's a clown based maze of course) . it's just... really really dark. not even creepy... disturbing almost. much like I said... the sub species trailer followed suit and was disturbing as all hell... I love the marketing for the mazes this year a lot. it also seem the budget for the teasers has gone right up too... none of its tacky or anything. I hope thorpe keep this up :-) also that freezer advert is incredible

nah man, that cringey director video was definitely nothing compared to these messed up videos of a woman tied up in a torture chamber, and some dude eating weird gross green stuff. there's even a video entitled "bound and gagged"...the marketing campaign for the big top is really dark.. it seems this way for towers too though this year, that teaser for sub species was absolutely f**ked up

so.. does anyone think there will be anything different or unique about the big top?? do you think we'll get split up, touched more than the other mazes, be made to crawl?? from what I can tell, it just seems to be a standard free-flow maze like Studio 13 was. these are good of course, and I really enjoyed Studio 13...but I really would like the big top to have some unique features, almost making it as shocking as EX10 was in its opening year. or something like that, I'm not sure.. I just hope it isn't boring, that's all...what do people think about the big top possibly being more "extreme" than the other mazes?
-
ah yeah I do remember seeing that part in the description, I just didn't really connect the two. like you guys said, the scenery really didn't seem very circusy or "carnival" themed at all, so yeah... who knows what section of the maze it is really, I guess we'll have to wait and see. all I can say it from what I can see it's definitely thorpes darkest maze yet (marketing-wise at least haha, some of it's real weird).
-
ye I thought so because it had the big top logo at the end of the video, but I really don't see the relevance of it in a "carnival themed" maze haha, looked way more like something out of saw to me...

I saw that top coppers thing the other night. it was hilarious, might start watching it . I also just finished arrested development, which has probably become my favourite show (after its always sunny). its so good.

I went on it last year and the group got split into 2 (I didn't go through the tunnels, we went the other route), but I wasn't separated from my friends and don't see how I possibly could have, we just stayed with eachother and went where we were told to go. its a pretty intense maze (well on my run through it was but most people don't agree haha), but yeah you definitely should be ok in regards to getting split up from your friend and I'm pretty sure no one gets split up on their own. hope that helps :-)
-
ah ok, thanks. I thought the extreme versions of the mazes in alton also had am 18+ age limit. I guess not, which is great news :-)
-
is there an age limit on the extreme mazes this year?? and if so, how strict are they with the age limits??
-
has there been definite 100% official confirmation from Thorpe/a reliable source that the rides theme will definitely be based around an IP yet, or no???
-
yeah id like to know this too. I've done the maze twice and I'm pretty sure both times there hasn't even been an actor in the final room. you just sorta stumble into the room where you can buy your photos... with the exception of studio 13 and the rather intense (well on my run-through) final rooms/corridors of CITW, all of the mazes last year had incredibly weak endings in my opinion. I hope they fix that this year :-)
-
anymore news on this ride or nah?? I do hope raptor attack stays :-(
-
agreed w/ this :-). no matter what people say in defence of seaworld, the facts that they treat all their orcas horribly, both during the process of capturing them and whilst theyre in containment, are still there. and so, I refuse to go :-)
-
its such a shame a ride that good has been wasted in a theme park I refuse to give my money to :/

adventure island. so much love for that park
