  1. My sources from the park have said there has been a major incident on Slammer and it fell down

Jeez that's bad, and I can imagine how easily that could happen. Was anyone on it at the time, because that would really suck. If this is true, then I expect we can say bye bye to slammer.
  2. they are really pushing the events this year, loads of reload, this, blow s*it it AND fright nights, I'm very impressed.this looks like a lot of fun, and very different. I'm guessing that they are going to have the pop karaoke in the CCR station?

  3. It's interesting the merlin parks in the uk are all kind of in bad situations.Chessington is surrounded by green belt.Alton towers is in protected woodland, and very strict height restrictions.Legoland has now pretty much swelled to as big as it can get.Thorpe park has the unusual situation of having plenty of expansion space and higher restrictions, but unable to do much because its surrounded by lakes.Kind of a no win situation for all the parks.

  4. So went on this three times today. I thought it was great, except I do agree about the restraints. It was too tight for my liking.First, I though the theming was amazing. The water effects were VERY out of sync. When they sort that out, it'll be great.Onto the ride. First time I was row six on the outside left. It really pulls you, and I found that it was very aggressive. I can see it being a blackout ride in 4+ years time. My second time, I opted for front row. Big mistake. The batcher, Jonathan, was absolutely useless. We spent 20 minutes at the front of the front row queue before the lockers, in which time he managed to let at least 50 people through. We were even able to see there was no one queued for front rows, and that standby queue people were going front row. Then when I went on, I found it was a much weaker ride, but still fun.Final go was right hand side row 2, still fun, but the restraint slightly painful.Bar the staff member, I really enjoyed the ride9/10PS, both trains were working today.

  5. Let's just settle this Rob, if you want a theme park to compete with PA, or universal studios or Disney, then go to theme intense parks like Alton towers and more loosely legoland. If you want an amusement park that will compete with six flags and cedar point, then go to Thorpe. MERLIN are competing to be the largest park company, Thorpe isn't. End of rant

  6. Firstly, in regard to the town, actually, would be quite feesable and would only take a few low level buildings and tents to suit the theme, and create a story. Rides cannot be too crampt, so, no, I certainly wouldn't have made any comment. I give several examples of rides with good themeing; The Wizarding world of Harry Potter, Black Mamba, Towers Street, to name but a few. It's very often done, and this is the calibre of themeing I was expecting, heck, even trees would have served as a suitable visual wall to break up the area a little. With regards to Baco's themeing, I wasn't intentionally comparing the two, but just for the record, the trench is now a bit greener as plants are starting to grow, does improve it, but also it's close proximity to the ride does wonders for the feeling of speed. I accept the tunnel criticsm entirely, but would just add you only see it for a split second at 80mph.. it's not where you can see from the queue or other park areas.I just want to emphasise, I am not hating this ride for the sake of hating. I am just not like that, I love Stealth, and Colossus, and particularly Samurai (on cycle 6 anyway...), it's not a go at the park, just simply, the ride didn't do anything at all for me. Compared to my other rollercoaster experiences, it's average.

Where do I begin with this?! You want them to set up tents as buildings?! You were just against tents full stop! The reason hogsmeade exists is because it is a shopping venue! The reason the expedition Everest village exists is because in a 500 acre theme park there is room for that kind of thing! The reason towers street exists is because it is also a shopping venue. Tell me, have you suddenly decided that aliens like the swarm are gonna leave the blooming village bakery standing because they want to " be able to get a fresh loaf in the morning"?!I was open to you voicing your opinion but Jesus, youre story has more holes than one of your dodgy tents!
