lol this year the park was heaving for blue light. They were allowing three groups full of RAP through for trailers for every one group of main queue…… Even private events arnt a place without everyone using these passes.

I personally don’t mind its design and feel. Reminds me a lot of the Barbican and those are some sought after houses.
The thing is with Thorpe having a hotel is tricky especially in the off season, with Heathrow so nearby and lots of places avalible for conferences etc it was always seen as a major risk to build a permanent hotel structure. If this does go ahead I wonder if a midway attraction will be built in one of the car park areas or the old farm to make it feel more resorty. -
Prime area for two flat rides or a coaster. Nope let’s just put in another stage so we can but on college level dance show productions and let’s not forget more food vendors, it’s not like everyone just goes to kfc or Burger King nowadays

Still don’t understand why we are celebrating a new flat ride, which is essentially replacing a similar ride from a while ago…. Will a submission revamp be next?
Will be interesting to see how people view Bianca’s legacy going forward…. But I guess that’s restrained on the budget given by Merlin.

So the ghost train is now being used for indoor train track fishing. Looks more fun than the attraction tbh.

Imagine being invited to a content creator programme and then slating it because they didn’t allow you to film the ride therefore impacting your content schedule and monetisation plan by spoiling the ride. Entitlement at its finest from TPWW. How is getting previews and freebies including unlimited fast track very one sided towards the park. I hope they get taken off the programme and a smaller channel invited.

How does an event go from getting amazing reviews on press night to disappointment?

Is the maze SEB endorsed or is it just going to use the murder on the dance floor song. Either way odd choice for me personally I think of SEB as a family friendly festival act bringing fun to all!
On the upcharges, it’s just to make more money isn’t it. The queues are still long and times lots don’t work. Let’s just go back to the fun years please and perhaps I’ll let you off charging me £3 for the passing…Happily going on bluelight this year so will be free but also hoping for my first ride on hyperia!Still hate the fact that the event has become this family friendly day out. I want freaks roaming the park, not dance parties as you have Legoland and Chessington just around the corner for that….

Oktoberfest looks tacky this year. I really don’t understand why they don’t change the format of the event. Get a big tent, get people to dress up, sell beer at £8 a stein and have sessions on Friday / Saturday afternoon / evening with some ERT on say hyperia (night rides) or some other rollercoasters. It seems to sell elsewhere (Richmond , Camden etc) so why not do a real experience and make a load off the drink money….

Ahh how I miss the days of free TPM ERT ( I will forever be thankful) they were some fun meets. Seems like a bit of a crap decision all round.
The team at MMM really are doing a great job of making this ride look spectacular sometimes I wonder how they arnt all poaches to work on epic universe.

Have Alton towers updated their booking system? Doesn’t look like Accesso anymore!

Why would they even allow for potential roll backs in the design phase? Wouldn’t they have models to say there is an X% chance that the ride valleys in these conditions, why would they not change the dimensions of the ride until they had something which would give a close to 100% guarantee of always making it around the track…
Would love to be a fly on the wall in the talks right now. Oh well gives them the opportunity to not open a new attraction next year and just remarket this one instead.

I've changed my booking to Wednesday 12th now. Can't do 13th/14th for work commitments so I figure best to go on Wednesday and allow another day of testing and prep than go tomorrow and then be annoyed if I miss it by a day.
If no Hyperbae on Wednesday, then I'll see her in September once the schools are back.

A new rollercoaster is great news, perhaps this is a bad take but is this not just Merlin copying Universals homework with what essentially seems to be Mario world themed to Minecraft. I’m going to be able to buy an interactive wristband, where have I seen that before.
