  1. Stealth (if your first in and you run, you can get 2-3 times in a row), then Nemesis, then Colossus, Saw, Samurai, Loggers, this will be your first hour done. The hit the flats, Rush, Vortex, and leave the Swarm until last. We got 12 rides in today and didn't queue for more than 20 mins for any of them and left at 2PM. The key to a successful day is get in as it opens and get to the park for 8:45 and get to the front of the queue.
  2. For a brand new ride the organisation is very poor. Stealth had a very good queue line, but they removed the single rider queue for some reason. I am all in favour in SRQ if it gets those empty seats filled. That is if those seats can be used in the first place as the Swarm is seems to be having more problems with seats as on Sunday there were some seats that were not able to be used which happened a lot at the beginning of the season.
  3. Funding wouldn't be so tight if they had more engineers, ensured the rides were in full operation from opening, less downtime etc The long queues and ride downtime are the main reasons guests don't return. Not everyone can afford fast tracks and those people who buy fast tracks only make everyone else's day worse by having to wait longer.
  4. Lets not open this can of worms any further! Mer, I'd rather know it is down for a specific reason than a "I don't know" As for Colossus we got a photo of them doing it and reported it to Guest Services who had a go and some free fast tracks as well. The ride operator claimed there was no queue, but the photo clearly showed otherwise
  5. When they do have more than two staff in there they only seem to chat to each other and ignore the queue anyway.
  6. This is getting ridiculous, they can't even keep their rides open. I can understand some small downtime from time to time, but it seems that these rides are breaking down on a daily basis and the big problem is the guests get very little compo for this, I may have a MAP, but if I paid the £42 to get in plus parking, and had no Stealth, Swarm etc and hour+ queues, I would never ever return again. Thorpe seem to be doing this again and again and again and no wonder why the gate numbers are down, they are simply pissing off their customers by having a dirty park with very very unreliable rides and an expensive price which does not give you what you are paying for. Don't get me wrong I have had some very enjoyable days out there this year, but what really winds me up is the staff don't know anything, on Sunday when I arrived and Stealth, Nemesis were not open at 9.30 the staff just said "I don't know". so the fact you were there when the park was open and the ride was not ready, you walk away, 10-20 mins later they open the ride and bang a 30-40 min queue. All Thorpe seem to be good at is selling fast tracks, on Sunday they opened the gates, let everyone in to the dome, then stopped everyone leaving the dome, funny they held everyone by the fast track counter and had staff to walk around and sell fast tracks. I got a priority pass from Guest services as I complained about the none crowd control a 70 year old getting pushed over and the fact rides were not open and Colossus was doing its "send every other car out empty" trick again. We still waited 40 mins in the Swarm fast track queue. So if I paid £42, for entry, £4 for parking and extra for fast tracks which were not fast at all, no wonder why you read on multiple websites, forums about people who will never return again. The trip advisor site is very good if you want honest feedback.
  7. Shouldn't these tasks of cleaning, litter picking etc be a daily task?
  8. I'm with Josh on this one, it is pointless having staff hanging around.
  9. Well Rita was a complete disaster today 45 mins, I did not bother, they have extra fencing up, you can't walk under the ride when it launches, it was also taken off of the ERT and the ride did not launch as often as it normally does. *Please don't do the same to Stealth*
  10. LOL I knew it would have a new cable fitted and will it get some funky out of place safety fencing in blue like Rita?
  11. Its horrific that it could happen on Stealth
  12. I did notice the much slower loading times
  13. Both trains were working this morning, I should know I was on the first two :-)
  14. We noticed today that the ride seems to have been improved, we were really getting thrown around today, maybe we had a lot of weight, but we have not been thrown around on previous visits. Not that I would complain.
  15. Well if no major ride for a few years, and to be honest we have been spoilt with the Swarm and the good theming it has. I hope they spend a little more money elsewhere in the park like a lick of pain on Colossus for example.
  16. I was told by the PicSolve Manager Saw needs an entire new system and it will get it at some stage.

    Air

I was disappointed when I went on it as I was expecting more Gs, but now I accept it for what it is, I do enjoy the ride.

    Slammer

So by around the 15th September we should be Slammin' then? It is such a shame as all those going over the busy August period will not get to ride it.
  20. Can't wait for the kids to go back to school

I didn't say which year Tinie! You have not added the S&S factor, it may only work for 1 day before requiring a few months rest while another part is on order :-)
  22. Thanks for the before and after! LOL
  23. Fantastic job TP, keep up the good work

  25. I wouldn't think it was the same ride looking at that pic, lets do a before and after shot, hang of it would be like a make-over in reverse.
