  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--2LvgPLPmA&feature=share Universal kills it, would love to see something like this in a U.K park for halloween..
  2. I think the blair witch maze would be best suited to use the old CCR path, that would be awesome!
  3. I just saw this event, http://allevents.in/Chessington/Eid-Fun-Day/445493325520893 how much does it cost to hire out the whole park?
  4. They do use Q-Bots, I've been to various Six Flags and I have to say they are totally worth it!. The most expensive one is $120, this equates to around £75 if I'm correct. Which is only £5 more then THORPE's ultimate fast track wristband. Six flags have limited amounts of Q-Bots on hire each day, there is only one area on park you can rent Q-Bots from. I went to Six Flags Great Adventure last year and bought the $120 Q-Bot, this allowed me to miss out the 1hr+ queues, I didn't have to wait anything! there wasn't any queueing in the Q-Bot queue, and you are allowed to stay on the ride twice!!. It's an amazing system. And their park hours are amazing, the day I went it was 10am-10pm, I left around 7pm, It's worth it at places like that. They manage their Q-Bots well, THORPE should take a leaf out of Six Flags room
  5. It's good THORPE are listening to the feedback they are getting! And this will be a fun event for sure! But the normal operational hours should be extended to 10pm during peak periods in summer and fright nights for people to get the most out of their money.
  6. I've booked to attend this event on the 26th.. Looks pretty good to be honest!. They should have at least opened the park until 11pm, since thats the latest time it can operate the rides.. Hope they change it!.
  7. I was at Alton Towers yesterday, I purchased the Platinum Fast-Track, I did The Smiler 4 times!, there was a 10 minuet or less queue through the whole day which was good for fast-track, the main queue ranged from 120-80 minuets. The ride is a fun one, it's a bit to bumpy for a new ride though. But it was enjoyable, the indoor queue is awesome! I also really liked Sub-Terra!, it's a brilliant attraction.

I went on X today, a few of the speakers in the queue line have had the grills removed and speaker cones all messed up, I was wondering why there wasn't any music playing in the queue line so I looked up and there the problem was... And inside the ride the music needs to be a bit louder and have a bit more bass to it. But overall they did a good job, the lights are great!.
  9. I visited yesterday and all I can say it was pretty busy.. Queues ranged from 120-60 minuets for the big rides. So many schools were there!
  10. 40-60 minuet queues I'm guessing, depending on the weather we're having at the moment. Sundays are quieter.
  11. Now they've 'refurbished' X I think thorpe should concentrate on rumba rapids as their next refurbishment project, it's completely falling appart. I've grown up with that ride, and had some really good times on it I don't think it should be removed purely as it's an 'old time attraction' just refurbished to a high extent. I went on a rapids ride in the states and that was completely crazy, it was absurdly fast and violent, the theming was great the ride featured huge cascading waterfalls that the boat goes under and which gets you completely soaked, thorpe should do something like that, but without the extreme water effects.

Ah, they should have used proper club speakers, BOSE speakers are are not supposed to be used for an environment like that, they'll die within a year. I can guarantee JBL should have been used.

It looks pretty good, an annoyance though is a section of the queue line has audio playing with the rest dead, c'mon that's stupid.. But other then that not a bad job.

Defiantly, my AP ran out so tell me how it is xD. I wonder what music is being played inside the show building? What kind of speakers are being used?, and how loud is it?

    It's opened today..yay
  17. Hello, I've been to THORPE PARK when it has been absolutely freezing, around -1 or -2, this was during the fright night annual pass event. The rides were all operational. I think saw is the only one temperamental when it comes to cold weather. Other then that I doubt you'd want to go on the water rides in sub zero temperatures. I think you'll be fine. Enjoy yourself, and sundays are usually the best to go on as their emptier .

I think what they will do is use smart lighting which can be set to a 'sound active mode' or can be daisy chained (linked) and linked up to a lighting board where the lighting can be manipulated from the ride control booth, or they will program the lighting into a programmable box to specific tracks. The intelligent lighting consists of moving heads and scanners which can be directed in certain directions, I just hope they get the right package and have the lights synced in with loud music and smoke, I'm looking forward into seeing what this turns out too be. I also hope they use better sound equipment, ie concert speakers for proper atmosphere.

  20. I'd be embarrassed to stay in shipping containers, it looks disgustingly horrid.. Huge mistake and a waste of money..
  21. Off to Universal Studios Singapore Tomorrow :)

  22. I guess your right, we never know. X is a Vekoma Enigma coaster, the only of it's type. The park would be stupid to turn the trains around and lose their title.. I think a club theme would be good, Loud music, smoke, lighting and strobes would do the ride justice.
  23. Evolution seems like a club name to me.. My thought that it's something to do with XNWO. Could be that X is called evolution and feature a club theme.
  24. All mondai topscans are travelling rides, they're not ment to be implemented at theme parks.
  25. I'm not surprised they're removing the tunnel, it looked like it was crumbling
