Just asking here, what is the DHL?
-
Does anyone think the first sunday(11th October) or the second sunday(19th October) of fright nights will be busier? When I visited on the 2nd Sunday last year, it poured all day meaning rides were walk on all day and mazes reached a maximum of around 30mins(we waited 60 for asylum due to someone loosing their personal items). Does anyone have a rough idea of what it will be like this year, may even be visiting both weekends but would be appreciated if anyone knew which is likely to be emptier as I need to book my early bird AP ticket. Thanks to all

Does phantasialand have lockers like the merlin parks do? When I went to Portaventura I put my bag in the in the locker for silver river and Tutuki splash and I'm jolly glad I did. Whilst it didn't matter on silver river, when I went on Tutuki splash we got a massive wave over us on the lift hill(due to the boat infront splashing us!). If you ever plan to go on Tutuki splash, bear in mind that you could be getting soaked, before the big drop has even happened

On swarm there's 56 people on the ride at once and a potential 100/200 people in the station(it is really cramped sometimes). They have a bag drop which works, I don't see why loggers can't aswell. I know there isn't a convenient place for a bag drop and bag boxes wouldn't be big enough but maybe there could be a bag drop near the entrance somewhere, meaning you only put your bag in if you want to and it's easier to get your bag afterwards. Just find it annoying how my bag has to get soaking and to me it doesn't matter if the ride is broken or open because I won't be riding it anyway.

If I can attend, I'm hoping its dead as not prepared to wait more than 30mins for anything as will be expecting to get a decent maze/ride count . I reckon studio 13 will be really busy however, I'm guessing it will have over a 30minute queue all evening if not longer. You can't really predict the amount of people until the night comes around and you see how many people actually turn up to the event.

What I hate about loggers is the fact you have to take your bags on. It's the same as Tutuki splash at Portaventura. I hate getting my bag wet which contains my phone etc. really puts me off going on the ride in general and bag boxes are seriously needed in the station.

How bad was last years preview event though? What were the queue times like? Also I just found this, all rides being opened is unconfirmed but the majority will be open . Melanie Pinfield will all rides be in operation on preview night as got my tickets booked 4 September at 06:44 THORPE PARK Official Hi Melanie! We hope to have the majority of the rides operating on this event however it is yet to be confirmed 2 · 4 September at 07:01

All rides are open as far as I'm aware. As for the 6000 limit, the limit was 6000 when the tickets were released as I was first to discover the link and book. Now it has been released publicly, the amount of remaining spaces seems to have disappeared. Whether 6000 is the limit or not I am not sure. My guess is the mazes will warrant 30-60minute queues as they probably take about 1000pph. The rides will probably get no more over 10-15mins as most people will be at the mazes. Good night for the rides but not so much for the mazes as there is only 4hours to get on everything.

Sure I'll play

Could anyone confirm maze opening times this year? The thorpe break website says this but the premium holders booking link says differently? Thorpe breaks: THORPE PARK Resort rides are open from 10am. Fright Nights’ mazes open from 4pm (TBC). Our rides are open until 10pm, to ride in the dark. (subject to availability) Premium holders booking link: Cabin in the Woods, My Bloody Valentine and SAW ALIVE are open from 3pm. The Blair Witch Project is open from 7pm. Can anyone specify which one is correct? If possible of course!

I'm sorry can I just ask this. Who is fastracking by themselves here? You get ONE fastrack package for yourself, you HAVE to go with another horror pass holder (who hasn't used their fastrack) or your friends have to buy fastrack in order for you to use it(unless you are going in by yourself). Both of these are really unlikely(not necessarily on TPM but for the GP who are buying horror passes) so you are going to end up having to go in on your own to the mazes which isn't particularly fun... Also, even if the fastrack is worth £25, you still have to visit 6 times for it to be worth it considering it is £5 a visit with an AP(not taking into account free parking as not everyone drives to thorpe). I don't see many people realistically going to thorpe 6 times in a time period of a few weeks. Seems really unlikely to me, not sure who would want to buy this pass to be honest.

Just to let you all know, the preview night tickets have not been officially released yet I just managed to find the page, so don't start spreading it on public pages like facebook until thorpe officially has. Gives all of us TPM members a chance to book before the tickets go like crazy This is a ridiculous price, bordering on a rip off. I wonder how much it will be for non-pass holders to buy it outright. I think thorpe are really losing their minds here. Bearing in mind most people are going to pay the £5 fee for fright nights, you have to visit at least 5 times for it to become even close to worth it. Also, your friend WONT have fastrack meaning the fastrack is utterly useless unless your friend(s) buy it or you go on alone. Think this is utterly ridiculous because the fastrack becomes virtually worthless unless you plan to go with another horror pass holder or by yourself. And I don't know either who would visit fright nights 5 times, and with the fastrack then becoming worthless you would have to visit around 10times for it to actually become a decent price. If it is only £60 or so for the GP I will be so angry, now that it is SO expensive I am expecting it to be at least £100 for a member of the GP or I will be absolutely outraged with thorpe.

Was doing some sneaking preview night is THURSDAY 9TH OCTOBER. 18:00-22:00 Book here for your free ticket: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fright-nights-annual-pass-preview-evening-tickets-12867425817?aff=es2&rank=0 There are a limited amount of tickets available they are giving out 6000 for the night, looks like no one has booked as of yet however. EDIT: people started immediately booking as soon as I posted this, you should thank me . About 20 tickets or so gone already!

Looks interesting and can't wait to experience the maze. Wonder where it will be located however, don't know whether it will be located in the asylum building but don't see many other good locations. I also hope the 4D cinema comes into use this fright night as I presume the angry birds experience will be closed when the theming is changed; would be nice to see a short horror film or something inside it! Wouldn't mind a conga line or a free flow. We will only have one conga line this year, Saw alive as MBV, cabin in the woods and BWP are all free flow. Maybe thorpe will make it a conga to even things out however personally I think by e sounds of the maze, a free flow experience would be much more interesting. Even if you go in a big group, I think it would be better if you didn't have to hold onto people's shoulders from what I hear by the sounds of the maze.

Go in July next year when the park closes at 6, it gives the park an hour to clear and then the rides are dead at summer nights. There were only a couple of hundred when I went and everything was walk on. Managed 39 rides in 3hours, would reccomend going in July instead of August as it is much emptier and you don't have to queue at all.

Barely ridden any of these but B&M is my favourite company, it is always so smooth and I don't know B&M coasters are always great From what I have ridden my list goes like this: 1. Shambhala 2. The Swarm 3. Nemesis inferno 4. Dragon Khan Unforunately these are the only ones I've ridden but hope to ride more in the future, I did enjoy dragon khan but just enjoyed the other B&Ms a bit more . Shambhala and the swarm beat inferno and khan by a long way in my opinion though

Sorry that's a complete load of rubbish from me, I rode on the back left of the right hand side at the beginning of July. Unsure when these rows were closed off however went during August and they were closed off so before the middle of August for certain...

The fastrack entrance opens once the queue is at a 'substantial' level. This is usually after 11am meaning that fastracks use the ride exit before the main fastrack queue opens.
-
Just to clarify, these rows have been closed off since the ride reopened for 2014. I would imagine one or two seats are broken and the rest have to be closed for weight balance. My guess anyway.

Just back from the mela. Great atmosphere, food and music; it was a great festival and the parade and fireworks were also throughougly enjoyable. In terms of rides there was: John Parish Extreme Bishon Crazy Jumper William Wilson Super Bowl/Miami/Dodgems/Storm Booster Twister Two funhouses. Had two rides at night on extreme priced at £3 a go. The first go was longer than the second however it felt much faster than I'd ever experienced extreme before. Was a great ride and was using nice lighting and smoke effects aswell. Also had a go on the Super Bowl priced at £3, was the last ride of the night and got a very long cycle however didn't spin much which was disappointing. Twister and Miami were also priced at £3. Crazy jumper was priced at £2.50 and the Storm Booster was priced at £4. Storm was giving long cycles which was good however didn to get a go as it closed early and they turned all the lights off(due to an earlier breakdown where it got stuck I beleive). Had a nice night and the funfair was a bonus. The Indian food was delicious and the festival has a great atmosphere. There are also many zones containing live music and shows. At night there is a parade and fireworks which are great. Would really reccomend getting down to this festival if you can next year as it as free entry and everything is free to experience! Apart from food and rides of course! Videos of Super Bowl and extreme coming soon. Also got photos of the general atmosphere if anyone wants them
