2013 Changes
Yes, it seems to suit it somehow. A name change isn't a bad idea, perhaps this is all they've done to it! Again, yes, probably all they've done to it is change the name! I hope so in a way. I've said this time and time again. They need to destroy it during the fireworks event. Gotta be better than dangling Jedward's ugly mugs over above the lake, surely. As for what Marc was saying about Fungle and the fences, well it's about time something was done with it. A good eatery could easily go in that area, but what to put in there as most foods are at the park already, and the BBQ is directly opposite on one section? Or cut all the trees back and turn it into a relaxing open area for people to chill. Whatever they do (or don't), it's an eyesore even with a fence. As is the arena, a potential area for something good, and the old Pirates 4D building. We have Thorpe spending the money infilling other areas for future rides, yet they can't see that they have existing land that are potential areas for something new! Land infilling cannot be cheap, surely, and with rides like X:\ and Depth Charge being the oldest and not likely to last forever, I see these as the next probable areas for development. Flatten the X:\ area and the arena, move the BBQ and you have an area for 2 large rides or a medium coaster. Or get rid of the beach and Depth Charge totally, and put a major new coaster in there. It seems to be the centre of the park that has recieved less attention lately, and more on the outskirts. Thorpe need to concentrate more on the land they have, rather than worrying about infilling lakes and expanding the park's perimeter.

Park Music
Try a website called MP3 Lemon.org, they are good for a lot of songs, have high-quality songs with no blips in them, and are free.

Bubbleworks
We are way beyond a return to Professor Burp - the brick arches throughout the ride would have to be removed to revert it back. A hell of a lot was changed in the original 2006 retheme; smells, lighting, audio editing and re-organising, and obviously painting. The good old days are behind us.

So Imperial Leather, Tussauds and Chessington are all morons. At least that's what CoasterDude is saying. If he wants the ride put back to how it was in the Burp days, he's out of luck. The retheme made so many modifications it would be near-impossible to revert them back to how they were.

The Swarm
We have talked for weeks about how changing the seats round is a big task, and about how they'll modify the queueline. With days to go until the full season opens and The Swarm queueline is packed again, I can only assume that changing the seats round will be very prompt, and no modifications to the queueline will happen. My conclusion? We have (possibly) wasted talking about something that will take a while to modify.

Anyway, let's get back on topic. If anyone wants to continue this, PM me.

It doesn't like you then. But no ride in Europe can offer the same experience.

Bubbleworks
Wikipedia is rather accurate, easy for anyone to claim they wrote stuff. Proof?

Bubbleworks
He is criticising the original and retheme. And if you re-read his post, he is criticise John, labelling him a moron. So you wrote that on Wikipedia and it's not really accurate?! That extract is on many websites, Wikipedia copied it from them.

Chessington Music
This video is the same 6:52 version you and I have. It doesn't have the Transylvania or Beanoland parts in it. Therefore this is probably the full version. It takes me back to the good old days about 8 years ago. I do miss it. I used to listen it on loop when waiting for a bus home! I think it was used at the entrance since opening in 1987, unless anyone can correct me? When the current Call To Adventure theme replaced this in 2010, I was unsure about the change, but I think it was for the best and probably long overdue!

It's a shame everyone doesn't share the same opinion, I've heard a lot of praise for it.

Logger's Leap
Its only a tunnel, guys! Can't see the big deal. Well I can now it's in the daylight. Lets rename it Loggers Light.

Bubbleworks
Bubbleworks was changed just over 6 years ago, since then there have been many debates about it, so why start a new one now? We all miss Professor Burp. So John Wardley is a moron? Before you actually criticise him, read this extract from Wikipedia, then you may actually understand why Bubbleworks was put in Transylvania. John is a credit to some of the UK's most fantastic rides. He's worked hard all his life to make his ideas a reality - and they've worked and thrilled millions. He is respected throughout by many rollercoaster and ride companies, engineers, park staff, ride fans and possibly zoo animals! If it wasn't for him, Nemesis would still be sleeping happily in its pit, nobody would be experiencing flying like Air delivers, and we certainly wouldn't be dropped into the darkness that is Oblivion. And then you come along and criticise his greatest dark ride built back at the time. It's a complete insult to a guy who has devoted his life to something he loves. If you like what he does, don't criticise, and be grateful for the rides he's given us. If not, why do you bother visiting the parks? You write about how good the Professor Burp theme is, then criticise why it's in Transylvania and insult its creator! Hypocritical.

It worked for a while but was short-lived.

Love the lion growls on the Harlem Shake!

Of course I realise the expense. How do you know the amount of money spent, do you work there? I've never queued longer than about 30 minutes for it. And I've never seen each queue for each end more than half-full.

Nemesis
The recent pictures from above posted by TowersTimes really do show how well the station is themed and was really thought through. The "ribs" roof is not often seen by many, especially the naked eye - shame. Birds eye view on Bing Maps: http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=sty1ktgv8scg&lvl=20&dir=180&sty=b&eo=0&form=LMLTCC

The Smiler
What is it with Alton Towers trying to mess with our minds? Nemesis Oblivion Hex Th13teen The Smiler All "mess" somehow, Nemesis being the least.
-
The Smiler
twisted psychological effects to mess with riders’ mind - not me, I'm screwed enough already! maximise the fear factor - any ride can do all they want, they still don't maximise or minmise my fear factor. What's fear on rollercoasters?!
-
2013 Changes
Business as usual then for the park - if it's not one ride, it's another!

2013 Changes
We didn't - got the rest of the year to enjoy it!

The Smiler
Now you're being pedantic. You're trying to twist my words.

The Smiler
No, I didn't say Alton Towers have "chopped" Oblivion in their figures, I said "people forget that section" - e.g other visitors.
