Park Operations
What could be done which I imagine is quite appealing in merlin's eyes although may not compensate guests very well is if they gave out discount vouchers to be used in park. So they give you a xx% off voucher to be used in a merlin owned shop/restaurant/fastrack. So the customer feels they have got something meanwhile merlin makes money off of it. No idea how guests would respond to it or if it would work but it is only a suggestion. Really the issue with priority passes given out is that they don't account for it when selling fastracks and they give them out for pretty much anything.

Planet Coaster - new theme park sim from Frontier makers of Elite: Dangerous
They did mention in the stream that the animation for stations are not ready yet. I imagine they will have included lowing stations for inverts, they have gone to crazy levels of realism I doubt they would not include that.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
The ride has to be the best it can be. When you spend huge amounts on a ride it has to be good or word will spread. Nemesis sub Terra had a bad word of mouth and look at it now. Merlin don't want a repeat of that, they want an attraction to pull people through the door to make them money. The creators will want it as good as possible as it's their child but management are money focused.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
I'm just hoping the cause for delay is something just hasn't been finished rather than something has been finished but it doesn't have the desired effect. Seeing as the latter is much harder to fix.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Well it could have been deliberately leaked. This isn't merlin's same old everything must remain top secret. BPB have the opportunity to market this how they wish so "accidental" leaks may be something they want to do.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
8x2m mirrors are possible but they are foil based. They wouldn't shatter like glass more just flex when under vibration. The joints of the mirrors would be pretty noticeable and would certainly spoil any effect trying to be achieved.

Did Derren Brown "Stick You"?
You can't just watch the clip, the whole suggestion is throughout the entire show. You also need to be able to see it in standard television format which is not normally possible over the internet.

Political Discussion
Oh Cameron also claimed that the leader of ISIS may be happy with Brexit. Far more ludicrous scaremongering from the remain campaign than the leave. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36310540

I imagine it varies because the different routes and endings are not all the same length.

Political Discussion
The European official's with the council's backing can enforce what ever they like and completely ignore the European parliament. The UK has voted against the council 72 times and has lost on 72 occasions. We are pretty much powerless to stop new ridiculous laws being introduce. The only way we can stop stuff is using our veto of which it seems Cameron has actually given some of our veto powers away. The eu has quotas on how much we can import from country's outside the eu. Pushing prices up as cheap steel cant be imported to make cheaper goods. Same with food and other goods. So we are locked in the trade area of inefficient production unable to be competitive on the global market because of being in the eu so we must trade with the eu as everyone has the same high price problem. Leaving will cause an economic shock but we will recover and able to trade globally instead (Switzerland is a good example of this). So the economy will end up performing better and we will have control over our government. A government we can change every 5 years unlike the EU where you have pretty much no influence at all.

Well the brain does tend to focus on the negative.

I seriously struggle to see why people would vote to be part of a system like that.

Political Discussion
A law is come up with by EU officials (not elected) who then give it to the EU parliament who vote on the matter. Then the law is given to the council (not elected) who then decide on the matter. If in agreement the law is passed, in disagreement the council can either completely ignore the parliaments decision or change the legislation and send it back to parliament once the European officials have approved it again. The parliament can not suggest new laws nor can it get old laws removed. All it can do is approve or deny legislation from the officials who create these laws in secret (legally must be behind closed doors) and even then the council can ignore parliament anyway. The 72 times the UK has voted against EU legislation it has won 0 times. 1 in 5 EU workers gets paid more than the UK's prime ministers salary and on top of that I am 99% sure that without looking it up no one can name me more than 3 EU officials.

A question which I have been thinking about which I know the answer to but wondered if anyone else knew is how does the EU get a new law. How does it work?

Lets watch the horrific Burger Kitchen and the pretty poor fried chicken company move in and replace them when KFC's and BK's contract ends.

Political Discussion
The hitler comparison does have truth to it and the complete overreaction seems typical of the media to anything the leave campaign says. The issue with banning the sale of high powered goods means even more redtape. There is so much regulation it is hindering development and the economy. For example there are 31 regulations for a toothbrush alone. 170 for a mirror. To develop a new product and sell it you have to know all these regulations which small business don't. Dont get me wrong some are needed but you could do the same with half the ammount.

Interesting EU article emerging which is about the EU planning to ban the sale of high powered inefficient electrical items such as kettles and toasters. Part of eu environmental targets the bill has been delayed until autumn to make sure it doesn't affect the brexit outcome.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Something like maverick would be nice but with more mack goodness. It would actually give me a reason to visit the park unlike the current moment in time where there isn't much of a draw to justify a 6 hour trip.

Alton Towers General Discussion
That statement has since been added from when I originally read the article which is why I asked if merlin had actually issued a proper statement instead of "We are in contact with her directly and will endeavour to reach a resolution,"
