  1. Saw did reopen in the late afternoon however it went straight to a 90 minute queue until closing.
  2. Best amusement park is the award not best theme park. Also I wouldn't say that the rides are overrated.
  3. It is a bit odd that Europa won. Looking at Europa and what it has to offer I don't quite see how it can compete with cedar point, but that is the golden ticket awards I guess.
  4. Visited today and it was rather busy because of DHL were there. The queues varied a lot but I still did well with the longest wait being 40 minutes. As usual no fastracks were used: Stealth x4 Swarm x4 Slammer x2 Rush x3 Vortex x2 X x1 Zodiac x1 Samurai x3 Colossus x1 Dodgems x1 Nemesis Inferno x1 Ride total: 23 Pros - Swarm was very efficient - Slammer was working Cons - All the DHL people were given a free fastrack which must have been about 3000 people - Swarm didnt open until 11 - saw didnt open until 2 ish - Colossus closed at 11:30 ish and didnt reopen until about 2ish - Tidal wave kept breaking down - Saw once opened had a 90 minute queue until it closed

They could just operate it like nearly every american park and have lockers outside the queueline. SFGA charged $1 for 2 hours and was done by electronic codes so people couldn't loose their keys. Cedar point operated a similar system but for $2 every 2 hours. I'm sure Thorpe would love to cash in on that idea and then they could even remove the need for the bag rooms.

The water level in loggers leap is higher than what it has been in previous years. This could by why it seems wetter.
  7. For example the best part of oblivion is the audio, and hex for that matter. I don't think swarms audio is too good and I feel it negatively impacts the ride. So audio is important.
  8. I have no choice but to scan all of youtube to see if it ever did say brace yourselves.
  9. How odd I could have sworn it used to be launched with and brace yourselves. A bit weird that 3 of us all thought the same thing.
  10. There definitely was a launch sequence which had and brace yourselves in it. I think it must have been 2009 or 2008 when it said it.
  11. The recording was changed a couple of years back from "Place your heads forwards, hold on tight and brace yourselves 321 go go go" to "place your head back, hold on tight, 321 go go go" They replaced brace yourselves with silence which I believe is longer than the original.

it is a concern that it is getting so run down. I agree that they should keep it. I think a very nice wooden coaster could run over it.

They will only last that long if they replace a large majority of parts and keep it well maintained. What I meant was that it is due for either a major overhaul or it has come to the end of the line, There is only so long you can use something which is always underwater.
  14. There is very little ways to know if alton extend opening hours. If they extended opening hours until 9 at summer I'm sure people would stay. Cedar point is in the middle of no where and people stay until midnight there. I'm sure the british public would be willing to stay until 9.
  15. A large majority of schools are back now. In theory it shouldn't be that busy but you never know.
  16. It would be much better as a floorless. That is the first thing I said when I got off that it should just be a sit down.
  17. They have been hyping up an announcement and in the end it was saying that mantis is going. Anyone else think that all is not how it seems?
  18. My top 10 B&M's ive been on. 1. Nitro - SFGA 2. Bizzaro - SFGA 3. Gatekeeper 4. Oblivion 5. Nemesis 6. Superman Ultimate Flight - SFGA 7. Green Lantern - SFGA 8. Mantis 9. Raptor 10. Air I actually quite like stand up coasters when you can get comfortable hence mantis and green lantern making an appearance.
  19. showingthatgame. Its mainly minecraft but theme park minecraft and I know a fair few of them are coaster lovers so some should hopefully sub to you.
  20. Ill give you a shout out on my channel, they all like coasters and theme parks. I'm sure someone will sub out of 1100.
  21. Id have an intamin blitz and call it blackout.
  22. If you want mazes not at a theme park look at tully's farm. That is a halloween event and a half or atleast it was a few years ago.

Loggers is aproaching the end of its usable life hence all the breakdowns and the demise of scenery. It still has a few years left in it so it wont be going but it will need some work over the winter.

I think its a mix of the odd computer glitch/ swing B being braked all the time and a bad set up in the cables.

I think its time for Rush's 3 year major check up from S&S so hopefully it will get checked over the closed season.
