I would agree that him removing the thrill capital stuff was a good idea. However I think the over marketing needs more of a theme than generic theme park. Although saying that it doesn't stop Cedar fair and they seem to be doing pretty well with generic theme park.

He joined a year and a bit ago. That probably means he hasn't got his hands on the next coaster. However it would be nice if he could develop angry birds land a bit more. To be a land I think it needs a bit more than 3 rides of which 1 is as out of place as rita in the dark forest.
-
I dont see any outcome where this will reduce total queueing time. All it will manage to do is make everyone angry as all the rides would have been booked by midday like on the trails. So for the last 4 or so hours your limited to flat rides which because of the system have massive queues. The server is the only thing I expect to work out of this entire thing. I strongly hope that Thorpe realise the problems this will cause and limit to a paid for system acting as fastracks.
-
If that is the case or even half as bad as what I have said and they expect me to go shopping then I wont be coming back. I'm not going to a park where the queues are massive for terrible rides which I can find else where.
-
Up coming Sunday Thorpe will be empty. Its the day before schools go back to which the teenagers are returning to exams. The last 3 years we have gone on this Sunday and every time its been walk on.

Well there is one solution which requires very little effort. Remove the system entirely. As previously stated you may reduce stealth to 10 mins but rides like rush go up to 2 hours. People are willing to wait an hour for stealth but no one I know would wait 2 hours for rush. I would like to think that was an exaggeration but in reality it isn't. To make things easy lets say every coaster does 1000pph. So there down to 10 mins so they would have about 160 people in the queue. You now have 840 people forced to go else where. If each flat ride manages about 500pph there now instantly at 1 hour 30 mins + the people that were already there. So all you've managed to do is move the queues to somewhere people wont want to queue for. So queues for the coasters may be virtual and people be happy there but by the time they get there they will be angry as theve waited 2 hours for a ride which isnt worth that.

Your telling me that stealth isn't 9000ft high. My entire reality is in question.

I cant express enough how much I want this to fail and to just become the fastrack system. Another thing is that if your a group of 6 you can queue for 6 different rides at a time as each phone carries 6 people. I know that this didnt work for the trail as the queue after waiting 4 hours virtually was about 40 minutes so it prevented that but if the 40 minute queue was planned then what was the point. I would go on about the other 4000 things wrong with the system but I think I may explode of rage.
-
On the trail day on which I went, I think it was the 2nd to last one, it was stupid. There were so many people trying to use it that the swarm was fully booked up by 1pm and even then the queue was at 40 mins. the fastrack integration could be horrific depending on how much time it decides to cut. The system will work and reduce queues for the standard one off trip person but when your like me and go there every week it will ruin it. I know where and when all the queues are quiet but with this it is going to level out all the queues and give everyone a similar amount of rides. Which as I said is fine for the one trip person but when I go there trying to get as many rides with out queueing the system makes it impossible.

Reserve and ride was the worst day at Thorpe park ive ever experienced. My entire group also agreed and so did many people in the park (the ones I spoke to anyway). It was a waste of time and in no way reduced the queuing time and I'm quite sure it increased it. However despite the large amount of negative feedback reserve and ride is meant to be in use on the busiest days during summer. As far as I'm aware its still going to be used on smartphones and I'm almost certain at some point there will be a pay a certain amount to reduce wait time.
-
That sound is the most disconcerting sound ive ever heard. I don't think many of the general public would want to ride something making that noise.
-
Yes it has. Yesterday it was counting down in 5 minute intervals.
-
There is a non locking lap bar but its not intrusive and doesn't get in the way. They are rather agile for dodgems and I would say they are pretty good. Also the queue times for it are horribly wrong, not once was the value it gave anywhere near the real queue time. What it said was 25 mins was more about 5. If its only going down the side of it then the real queue is a maximum of 10 minutes.
-
You also have to look at it from a business side of things. It may get 40 minute queues in the summer when its working but that is partly because of its lowish throughput. However the real case is that it is normally broken and is now a ride where spare parts don't exist. If a component breaks Thorpe have to ask S&S to make a new one which will raise maintenance costs. There will only be so much money they throw at it before management says no more. I'm not saying that it will go this year but more that I doubt we will see it in 5 years time.
-
I imagine they will change it next year if they decided to keep it like this. Make backwards the fast track and the fast track queue can go back to being part of the main queue.
-
Don't go criticising the fact their ignoring a queue line. It makes the main line nicer and stops queue jumping. Too many times I have seen people queue 20 mins for backwards and watch them go forwards despite a longer queue.
-
That has made me the happiest person on the planet if they keep doing it.
-
Stealth was very efficient today, so efficient that the crew broke the through put record.
-
Swarm was the best ive seen it in a while today. Not because of how it was running but the fact they got rid of the backwards queue and made everyone queue together and make their choice in the station. The queue was moving much faster and and was generally more pleasant knowing people in a shorter queue were not changing their minds.

Bad day for Colossus. It was running very slow this morning and took ages to load then at about 10:30 it broke down for a good 5 hours. Came back to life for an hour then died again and stayed closed.
-
I do expect it to open some time soonish, but I don't think Thorpe will be keeping it much longer
-
Entire area was cornered off today and didn't move once.there were no people working on it or staff around it. Its not looking too good for slammer.
-
they have removed the dummies which is a bit odd, I would assume if they were testing it, they would want the weight of people on it.

Despite the trains looking really cool I imagine that track doesn't come cheap compared to some other manufacturers. -
THORPE PARK Resort @THORPEPARK 2m We’ve had @StephenMulhern and some #BGT legends visiting today. Watch the show on Sunday to see what they got up to! http://ow.ly/I/5FxJI Someone is lying. We already had an argument about this a week ago.
