Say hello to Lucy, my miniature schnauzer. She is 10 years old as of June 2016 (she'll be 11 in August).

To be honest I actually enjoyed riding Inferno (an Intamin Zacspin in Terra Mitica), I found it to be rather forceful.

When talking to a staff member on a lift hill climb (on Swarm), apparently they installed an anti-rollback system. He said it can't rollback but it can get stuck. Does anyone know has this anti-rollback system works or if it exists?

Knowing that you want to do a career in engineering you should be a hell of a lot more excited for the BTS, that winch was just so fascinating!- 114 replies

Life threatening confessions: - I haven't seen any Star Wars films and don't intend to. - I thought Avatar was 4 hours of my life wasted. - I hate football (my friends like football so I can tolerate those kinds of people). - I enjoyed riding the two Vekoma SLCs I have ridden. - I prefer The Swarm and Saw The Ride to Nemesis (AT).

TPM Happy 10th Anniversary Stealth Meet 25th September 2016!
Charlesberg replied to Celia Mae's topic in TPM 2016 Meets
I like how the list is being updated so quickly! Celia is clearly dedicating herself fully for this meet. How does ERT work? Is it like an hour after park closure where we just ride it constantly?- 114 replies

This sounds great, as long as the date is a day I am free I will definitely be up for it. having done a BTS of Stealth many others will agree that it's an engineers delight.- 114 replies

From my favourite Wii U game Xenoblade Chronicles X I just love the Sylvalum theme, it is just amazing to listen to: I won't be surprised if no one has played this game.

TPM Emergency Dreamland Meet September 24th 2016
Charlesberg replied to Celia Mae's topic in TPM 2016 Meets
I think I'll be free that provisional day. I've been to margate many times and I'm familiar with the area, I'll make these last moments of Dreamland count. -

Join the jealous club! -
If you're doing DT GCSE make sure you stay as far ahead as possible with the coursework. I'm doing DT Product Design (it's very similar to DT Resistant Materials) in which I've done the coursework but those last few weeks were so much stress. We changed teachers twice and because all the attention was on people behind, us people up to date with coursework couldn't actually move on. Because of this, our class were insanely far behind, we were starting to make our products when other classes were finishing them. Luckily I did finish it, but it wasn't a pleasant few weeks, I was back till about 6:00 - 6:30 most nights. Just stay ahead, if you feel like you need to move on just ask your teacher what you need to do next and also, if you feel like your dragging behind slightly then maybe do some work after school hours (you'll probably only need about 30 mins to 1 hour, it's good to get a good work ethic at a younger age rather than 2 weeks before deadlines). Don't get behind and make sure you start your product relatively early (you'll probably start that in year 11). Take it from this Charlie. That's my advice, and my rant shall be that I'm in the middle of GCSEs which is fairly stressful.

Official TPM German Mouse Meet At Europa Park 28-30th May 2016
Charlesberg replied to AJ 's topic in TPM 2016 Meets
Now I'm just jealous, everyone has an amazing weekend. Whilst I'm in the middle of GCSEs (at least if I get all As I get to go to SFGA) Don't worry, I won't hold this against anyone. I'll be glad I'm not in the middle of GCSEs in 4 years when this meet should supposedly happen again. -
I'm just glad that I have the Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack Platinum Edition. I got it from Club Nintendo using points, now Club Nintendo no longer exists so to get it you'd probably need to spend about £50 on ebay or something as they're limited in numbers. Just hear the soundtracks whilst playing the game, the music isn't the only reason Super Mario Galaxy is my favourite game though
-
In video games, music plays a big part. We remember many themes such as 'Super Mario Bros.' or 'Angry Birds'. These days we have many orchestrated video game themes which we associate with the game itself so we end up loving the theme, even if it's a genre we normally hate (I like orchestrated music normally). My favourite video game for music is Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, much of it is orchestrated and it just sounds amazing. The music is taken very seriously in this game (unlike other Mario games (except Super Mario 64)). Here's the credits theme for Super Mario Galaxy (1): I am aware that there are many other video games themes which people may think sounds great so just post pretty much anything about video game music.

I think the black colours will age better with the Hulk. Colours like purple don't age massively well on rides as they seem to decolourise a lot more quickly.

FINALLY!!!!!!! Now we can feel more hopeful about it opening soon (for us TPM people visiting July and earlier).
-
Since I found out that this is sometimes played in the Kingda Ka station, I absolutely love this. You gotta love the use of the percussion, those bongos just sound amazing. If a soundtrack is associated with a ride in any way, I then end up loving the soundtrack (I love the Mortal Kombat theme partly because it's played in the station for Nitro).

Desperate to go back to this park, I'm looking forwards (in the distant future) to re-riding Silver Star (my first ride to feature a drop), Blue Fire (chickened out on the day) and Wodan (saw the construction site for it). I know Adam seems a bit disappointed with Silver Star but as hypers go, Silver Star isn't particularly the best. Ride Shambhala and you will see how awesome hypers can be.
-
Anyone know when they'll actually start testing? Mako Madness hasn't had anything to show for quite a while now.
-
This must open before later July, otherwise I've missed out on the Incredible Hulk experience
-
A POV has been released at last: Nothing too special as this looks like basically every dive coaster (except adding small zero g roll).
-
I didn't ride Valhalla, Revolution, Grand National or Nickelodeon Streak when I went to BPB. Yeah... Matt pointed out to me recently it was dissapointing I didn't ride them (it's a long story why I didn't ride them).

I'm very excited about the Nintendo link. As you probably know I'm a Nintendo fan (I haven't been active with them since they've given us nothing and are delaying games another year *cough*Zelda*cough*). I would actually love an intamin acceleator themed of F-Zero, that would just be epic.

Peaj confirmed with me that this will be done every 4 years, so basically it will happen again in 2020 (when we'll both be old enough). After many posts and stories, you can probably tell I'm desparate to go back!
