Caption says: Venture even deeper into the cursed village of Mawkin Meadow and unearth the origins of the infamous Crows😱 Trek carefully through the darkened fields of corn and hope your presence goes unnoticed👀 Definitely going to be more developed this year, possibly in a different location. Warwick castle do a scare zone but it’s more of a walkthrough. Could imagine a similar thing at Thorpe. I‘ m not too clued up on FN history, but is it normal to have the same kinda Characters year on year since 2020? Nice to see a new attraction each year, but will we see a completely new line up year on year?
  3. Door 2 will be announced tonight, I’d place my bets on it being Creak Freak or Amity. unless I’m completely wrong.
  4. Door One was Trailers, not a surprise. There might be some minor changes to the scenes but nothing notable considering how quick you go through each one. Side note: Saw people complaining on Twitter saying why are they announcing a maze we already knew was returning. They wouldn’t announce anything new straight away, common sense? The doors thing is confusing, if the doors were part of the maze, they wouldn’t tease each video as door one (and I assume there will be door two ect ect) Is it just a way to market each scare at fright nights?
  5. Full credit to theme park guide for breaking this news The new maze or scare experience is being built on the land next to swarm. Some may know this as where the sanctum was, shipping container maze. Exciting, but equally not a shock to the location. Not new by any means
  6. If it were an escape room, I’d be very disappointed. Especially as described as an experience and haven’t worked. what tricks me with the new maze location is that it’s described as an indoor maze. Don’t know how literally to take that. Will it actually be a physical building or just container after container after container. Will legacy also be back in some form, will be interesting to see?
  7. Not too sure another route to get there other than old Canada creek railway route, but I’d be suprised for them to use it. Just incase project exodus work starts…

The new scare experience could be really good (especially if it’s not an escape room and something more original) I’m just concerned if it was a major experience, we would have seen something physical by now. No planned AP preview but 20% individual mazes between 3-6pm during the off peak parts of the evening. Considering they are indoor mazes, shouldn’t make a difference though.
  9. The third scare maze is said to be an Indoor maze, would definitely include the farm building under that description. However, it would mean it wouldn’t use the land to and around the farm. scare experience seems more likely in this location. However why tease the scare experience. You’d think it would be a nod to a new maze. For an indoor maze though, unless you joined shipping containers together. Where else in Thorpe could they house the scare maze?

  11. Runnymede Council’s planning committee has publish their agenda for the 13th of July and Not discussing the Exodus application. The next meeting it 3 weeks after that….
  12. Issue is time and time again, Thorpe mistake fan hype and GP hype. No one cares about a mid July scare maze, they won’t know it’s their main high quality scare maze. The fans love it, but what happens to the maze mid week when they are at work or cannot afford to do it again. Does it dwindle off? I don’t know how they will twist it to fit a good vibe summer event which attracts everyone. But I knew as soon as they announced carnivals, they couldn’t get away from the fright nights clowns. Should have just kept it as a Park Vibes/ Mardi Gras mashup.
  13. New audio updates Seems to have new audio telling people what to do on Colossus and Nemesis Inferno. (Ride restrictions, Place bags in baggage hold ect) It’s pretty frequent, so takes away from the soundtrack but pretty well done and themed to the ride.

  15. Ah I see! I’m very much used to the ease of following Chessingtons new land and coaster. Silly of me to think that Exodus would be as easy as building on an empty field. Any delay wouldn’t be good for Thorpe park. This coaster is so needed, but it’s so easy to just can this idea.
  16. Playing the waiting game now, ultimately it’s up to the planning team to give a response. I’m hoping it’s all due to paperwork and lack of it and once explanation is given then all goes well. If they were to change exodus as we know it right now. Is the 2nd option viable instead? Could they just change to the second layout via slammer?
  17. Nice to see a fully fledged event, by the looks of it anyway. It’s got a bit of everything, isn’t just based around food (Oktoberfest) or Music (Parkvibes). It feels like a transformation of the whole park, something which is an advantage over towers. Curious to see how well received the parade is, I’m not sure on what level to expect it. All I’m saying is that Thorpe’s demographic is likely to turn a blind eye to it. That isn’t to say, that I wouldn’t want it. I’m really excited to see it along with all the other performances. I’m just aware, the main demographic turn a blind eye to the Thrillmakers.
  18. I’ve noticed the past year, swarm has been really unreliable and very sensitive. Every visit, I head towards swarm/in the station or queue/ on the train and it breaks down. I’m not too sure if it’s always been like that, but noticed it a lot more this year.
  19. Ok, the two examples could be coincidences. Swarm audio might have been as a result of the audio changes across the park. It wasn’t good audio either way, they are still using the new station audio unfortunately. Anytime there’s a slight pause in a dispatch, the music will stop once the track is played, it doesn’t loop. TikTok board feels like the most reactive, it was clearly deliberately set up and painted. Not long after twitter went at it, it was gone.
  20. From an operations perspective, I’d say good. Every coaster except for Colossus has been constantly running two trains. The park feels fresh in areas, I’d say each area has had something done to it to make it a little bit fresher. The park and management team seem to be very aware of what people want. They are pushing their TikTok which is working. They listened (I can’t confirm) to comments on Twitter saying about how bad the TikTok board was and removed it. They’ve also returned the old swarm audio after complaints… The Roaming entertainment team have found their feet. The Thrillmakers seem to fit the Thorpe brand, however I notice they are almost always dancing with young children…. The park which has just lost two children's rides. High Striker is ugly from the back and should have been placed against a wall or a less prominent view from the dome. The theme suits the area and the soundtrack which plays is pretty good. They are appealing to enthusiasts by releasing special pins such as a loggers leap pin and selling coaster climbs. Again a good thing, they are quite an open park compared to Alton Towers. The new events seems like they could have a lot of thought put into them. They are really pushing the events on the app and on the park trying to get people to return for the events. TL:DR Very positive start, the park is listening and responding. Few issues to iron out but generally most are out of the parks control and more about Merlin.
  21. The Infamous Tik Tok board has seemingly been removed from the park. I went yesterday, it wasn’t there… 😂😂 It was bad regardless, in a themed area even worse…
  22. The roaming actors are weird….. like they aren’t advertised anywhere on the website nor do I get the point of them (yes, they are fun ect) but I mean what do they actually do? If they are around to do party dances like it’s some sort of caravan park, I don’t see the point. It was okay for park vibes, but not again… Maybe I’d like them more if they had relevance to the park (story, branding) otherwise it just looks like a group of people on a stag do. I like the posters, there’s way too many though. The soundtrack change last year already took away from the original story. But I feel that’s the entertainments team and general Thorpe management trying to divert from the original MMM concept slightly. Too focused on the “Les Coogan” reference. New graphic is a good little teaser, looks like mountains to me. Again playing to this wilderness theme from the Trailers poster (clearly showing a forest) and the planning application which states they are gonna use the environment as part of the theme. Is the coaster themed to an expedition and the coaster is the mountain, which you climb and takes you on an “unexpected journey” also could nod to Canada Creek still. That is very very light speculation, only pulled from a few hints. I can imagine it will be wrong. But hey, starting to speculate the theme!
  23. I saw this today, the railings looked like they tried to be painted but realised it was the wrong paint for metal. Roof painted nice, but the actually structure and panels were left untouched. The op booth had a few panels strangely unpainted. Hopefully this is done before the park officially opens….
  24. Always the case, if anyones seen drone footage/ monks walk updates. Every year, Nov-Jan nothing happens. Even fright nights stuff is left out until January at least….. if they started the second they closed, they would be finished by now and could undertake other tasks. always wonder why they just don’t go round painting things over closed season such as queue like fences . Doesn’t need to take long or need a specialist team..
