Is the garden area open for guests to use/sit about/relax in the sun etc?
Sounds interesting but not for me.

Loving the photos. Loving the snake. Shame really.

Meals at towers range from £5.50-£6.50, with your meal costing 6.50 without discount.
With discount, 6.50 = 5.20, so it's actually the same price for the time being. Impressive, seeing as chessies FCC is way more expensive for way smaller portions.

Out of interest, how much was your meal at BK? It always seems more expensive at chessington than at towers, in regards to other merlin eateries.

Nooooo the thorpe power supplyyyy!!
Expect more powercuts in the future then, muppets.

They're currently on the lineup to replace Mine Train and thirteen until the weather improves.

Looks like it's on a green screen, ready for advert making?

Easter sunday will have a few gypsies on park, dunno how many but they are good fun.
It seems like they've removed the top rocks from the tunnel, so they could potentially be removing the rest of the rocks.. or they might just wait until closed season to rip it down, and hopefully rebuild it at the same time.

It'll continue until someone has the balls to bother playing with it so it works for both worlds.
Towers took the plunge this year (yet to see how that pans out - but it's more expensive for less rides and lower allocation). About time thorpe did the same, just for the sake of satisfaction.

The only reason terry is 1.4m, is because its the easiest possible way of preventing small children from riding and wanting to destroy themselves afterwards
Trains look gorgeous.

Is that photo taken roughly where the Monkey Swinger disabled ramp now stands?!

I love how bare this trains are.. barely have anything to them!

It's due to open in June isn't it?

Also very impressed with thorpe taking to social media, being very precise about what open and closed. Something towers, until today, haven't been very good at.

Each have had their own little setbacks, all suffering from weather conditions as well.
Lego also suffered as they refused to close waterworks early to allow construction to commence. So, to prevent complaints last year they've caused a wonderful delay this year. Least it's not an attraction worth complaining about.

Anyone doing hotels or anything for this trip?
I'm an almost guaranteed (for once) for this trip. Just trying to plan trains.. as I'll have to travel with useless trains on sunday or late sat night!

I see where you're coming from, they just added a £20m coaster yet have to advertise it heavily in only it's 2nd year
They have to advertise it heavily in it's first year y'know.
Build it, and they will come. As long as you bloody market it effectively.

The project is behind schedule, big time.
Unsure if they're still quoting may opening time - but it won't be. Groundworks haven't even finished yet.

Issue with severely reduced ticket cost is it means more people want to visit, and therefore more people disappointed.
At present, they're allowing people to enter under no pretense there's no rides available, then giving them return tickets as they leave. Easy peasy!
EDIT: To add more to general discussion, towers is advertising Nemesis Sub Terra on da telly. They are really enjoying their old adverts atm, whilst awaiting smiler!

Good on ya. It's a fascinating documentary. Love it. Even made me apply for a job with trains after one of the episodes.
On the sunday service note, I hate how late my trains (from home home) start from. The first one leaves at 1035. It's mental!

Queue time boards should only be updated by rides dept. And if they are, there's absolutely no way they'll inflate a queue time to increase fastrack sales. Rides staff consider fastrack an absolute bane of their life.
Chances are they've forgotten to change it/deliberately left it to deter people from queuing. Not to increase sales.
