Posted April 10, 201411 yr comment_180651 I should be getting a Thorpe Annual Pass in a few weeks but the renewal seems to cost more than buying the pass brand new, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Merlin Annual Passes. Does anyone know why this is? The answer is probably blindingly obvious but it's always confused me haha.
April 10, 201411 yr comment_180652 The Thorpe Annual Pass has been on offer since last summer presumably, so that price of £48 for an annual pass (annoyingly was £58 for annual when I bought mine last year, and £48 for season) going up to £58 after may is the continuing offer, until whenever - I have noticed thorpe have removed the renewal price off their website. So I'm literally guessing you go buy another one when you visit next, just preferably before end of may so you get it for £48?
April 10, 201411 yr Author comment_180653 I plan on getting it before the £48 offer runs out, but last time I looked the renewal was £68! It seems like a bit of a rip off as most people would just get it renewed without looking into or questioning the price. It's a bit cheeky of Thorpe tbh.
April 10, 201411 yr comment_180654 yeah I did see it was £68 online, but I guess they've realised and removed it off the website now... but a bit confusing as it doesn't say anything about renewals - but at least you can wait for it to expire, and not waste any time having it renew straight away when you may not visit until say May

April 10, 201411 yr Author comment_180680 Yeah, it's £48 untill April 27th, and £58 from the 28th onwards which still isn't too bad but the £68 renewal is a complete rip off IMO.
April 10, 201411 yr comment_180684 Seeing as they have took it off there website, I think It must of been a mistake. I can't imagine something being more to renew than too buy in the first place?
April 11, 201411 yr comment_180697 Definitely they have used that pricing structure for at least two years, so by "shopping wisely" you save.
