themeparkmad
We were told that if you had an annual pass you could go through the vampires exit after about 5, this is by a visitor though and not staff!I think you will find that is incorrect information! Paul
We were told that if you had an annual pass you could go through the vampires exit after about 5, this is by a visitor though and not staff! That's not true.
James6
That was something they did for a little bit during the Summer Holidays I think. Also even if that was the case, it wouldn't be through the exit anyway, it would be through the Express Pass queue. Sheepie
That queue you see at the exit for Vampire is a mix of disabled groups, and exit passes (but mostly disabled groups). Those not familiar with the system- it works through a type of virtual queueing system, where they have to wait the stated queue time for that ride, until they can do another main ride.So for example, say the time was 12pm, and Vampire had a 45 minute queue, the disabled group wouldn't be able to do another main ride until 12:45. Topsyturvy15
Thanks for telling us that but it didn't look like they were all disabled as some were just groups of teens or couples
tomathy
The people were most definitely not disabled and there were loads of them, there was no problem with the express pass queue line as thats how I got on to find that my favorite seats on the vampire (the back)were being taken by people that were queueing through the exit. Are there any staff members on here that know why because it makes me curious of why they were there and why I waited properly, along with the 80 mins worth of queue behind me.I'm sorry that this caused offence so please read bettween the lines and forget the begining
James6
As I think has been mentioned, they'd have Ride Exit Passes, As far as I know, apart from it being the disabled queue, that is the only other thing it's used for.( Also some of those people could have been disabled but not in an obvious way. )
tomathy
if they were all disabled there was no queue there at the begining of the day and there were at least 50 people there at 6:30pm and the queue was getting longer. where would they have got exit passes? Kevin
I personally think you are being disgustingly narrow minded if you think 'they were definitely not disabled'.Get effed if you think that. Most people have that do have disabilities, have ones you cannot see.
Topsyturvy15
People were also doing some exit passes on Fury and Dragon Falls but not as many, they also said some rides are just for exit pass people due to an abnormally long exit blocking the fire escape
tomathy
I'm sorry to offend but there seemed to be many more people there than normal, I have nothing against disabled people and I ham friends with many, I am sorry that you took my post the wrong way. SORRY
Topsyturvy15
Both of us were there, there were families and groups of kids in the queue, probably some were disabled but I a interested to know how others got the passes, neither of us are intending to be discriminant
Kevin
Well I didn't take it the wrong way, I took it how you posted which was very insulting to both people who do and don't have disabilities.Staff and Guest Services give out exit passes for ONE use only on any ride of their choice; this is guest recovery procedure to give out a quick fix to problems they had in their day I.e broken down ride, poor service, accident etc.
James6
People get exit passes if something has happened, which detracts from the visitors day. I didn't say all 50 would be disabled, but some of them. And think for every disabled person, how many can each person take with them? And then Exit Passes, are again for groups.I'm not 100% sure what your complaining about, the Exit Pass line was busy... So what? it didn't make the main queue any longer, on peak days the 2 back rows are always used for disabled guests and people with Exit Passes. Those people haven't found a sneaky way to get on the ride without queueing very long, everyone in that queue would have a justifiable reason for being allowed on the ride through the exit. Topsyturvy15
Thanks I was just interested as I have never seen people using that queue before, pleas don't think badly of me because of this
Paul
Even though the exit pass queue was long on Vampire yesterday, it wasn't a problem for me. Regardless of why they are there, it doesn't make any difference to my day, and like James said, it doesn't make any difference to the main queue waiting time as the system has been used for as long as I can remember. Topsyturvy15
They did about 1 ride in 5 for exit riders which I didn't mind as I had 2 express passes
tomathy
I didnt mind them being there I just got carried away with the comment, my favourite seats were not available though but I think ill forget all about that now I'm being called discriminant! James6
This year was my first year to Halloween Hocus Pocus since 2003, and I loved every second of it. I think it's by far superior to both Fright Nights and Scarefest. The effort made around the park is just fantastic. I'm already looking forward to next year! James6
I think the sadder thing is, that there is only 1 day left of the Chessington season! :)Roll on 2010, which is hopefully going to be a fantastic year with the addition of Wild Asia. Topsyturvy15
How can they improve Halloween Hocus Pocus?, For me they should open until half 8, getting people out by nine
themeparkmad
How can they improve Halloween Hocus Pocus?, For me they should open until half 8, getting people out by nineSo you want it to close at 8:30pm? Fair enough, I can play along with that. However, if it was changed to your suggestion of closing at 8:30pm, then you would want 9pm and so on! :PI visited today and it was the best Halloween Hocus Pocus I have done so far.I think I might even write a trip report!
