  2. There is still multiple places to host a scare zone including outside rumba rapids. I do miss the swarm invasion style of zones too.
  3. I was never a big fan of that location being used as a scare zone, especially in Thorpe's format of a one-way outdoor walkthrough. It's quite small and doesn't have the same impact. Equally, I always had concerns about Death's Doors and how it would handle crowds, but it coped. So what do I know. In saying that, I would prefer to see Thorpe try another scare zone which isn't just a one-way route, but we'll see.
  4. Looks like we'll see the return of a scare zone in the previous Death Doors location

  6. Not usually. Most of Thorpe's IP contracts, to my knowledge, have been on 3 or 5 year contracts which can then be renewed for certain periods of time. All very flexible.
  7. Today

Back of the seats were removed last week so work has been taking place. And apparently it tested yesterday so hopefully it won't be too much longer!
  9. Aren’t these types of IP usually on a 10 year deal? Will be interesting to see whether they extend it or move on from Walking Dead. I was a big fan of X. Realistically I can't see Ghost Train much longer either which would leave a huge space in the middle of the park with this + Slammer site too if they were to get rid of it all together.

  11. Bravo on that one 😆
  12. it will be very very very very scary. maybe.
  13. things are a bit unclear, paths veer in different ways. we could be in for an x-citing change, a reverse if you like, or perhaps a smaller, Duel retheme. of course the pass could be renewed but we are not sure. how many sponsorships have you killed? too many to count

I like the pretzel, I like the song, this is my kind of income, it lasts for three weeks long
  15. Yesterday
  16. Yo @Parm Pap got anything to say about this ride now that there’s literally no Walking Dead merch left in the park?
  17. Apparently it won't reopen until 2029. A year and a half it'll be closed for. Just start it this year instead lads.
  18. Last week
  19. Some good news for Disneyland Paris. Hyperspace Mountain will soon be closing to be fully rethemed back to its original theme! Fantastic news, and long overdue. It’s very encouraging to see so much good happening at DLP recently. With this, Lion King, the improved Disney village and the other smaller changes like parades etc, the future is looking very bright. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come, and we will have a major new ride at Disneyland Park announced at the next D23
  20. Credit to Thorpe Guide I don’t particularly like the idea of creature campus moving to launchpad. It’s a waste of a good area that could be much more with either lucifer lair there or a new concept. I know creature campus isn’t amity anymore but having it in the amity area makes much more sense and anyway it’s pointless for a 10 min dance show every so often. A place with multiple shows like lucifers lair would be so much better On another note The new maze seems quite cool but let’s not do anything hooded again. This years event looks quite good but I think it depends on the scare zones which we’ve taken for granted but we could possibly have less free stuff again this year. We will see but 2021 was one of my favourite years
  21. Another teaser: Saying "Mawkin Meadow" is no more does leave the door open for The Crows to return, perhaps as roamers. The maze apparently has a codename of Project Blackout. I hope I'm not reading into that too much and we're heading for a hooded maze... There's also posters flyposted around the park: Interestingly, the bottom of the poster says "has returned".

The rcdb entry does make me smile. I think it looks awful but it's only temporary so who cares.

It appears they haven't given up with Zodiac just yet - quite surprised to see all the doors from the gondolas seem to have been removed.
  26. First teaser for the new maze has cometh...

SRQ is back today. I think it was a H&S sign off thing for guests to walk under the Flipz sign which was the issue. So the blocked off the RAP queue, meaning that took over the SRQ space.

Shades of Oblivion and Fanta. I don't get it. Nor have ever noticed a brand that has apparently been around since the late 90s. RCDB even updated the entry.
  30. Cal replied to JoshC.'s topic in General Discussion
Hopefully was just for today. The look of it all is bad enough, but even worse that its effecting operations and guest experience.
  31. MattL28 replied to JoshC.'s topic in General Discussion
Thing is, it might be slightly better if they kept up with maintenance of the queue line and it wasn’t dirty. The general upkeep of that queue line, fencing, lighting, bins, graffiti, dirt on the floor, the fact the whole thing is in the blazing heat due to the reflective floor. And it might been slightly better, if it was actually themed. It’s a disaster, there’s more theming for the chocolate than then Hyperia.
  32. JoshC. replied to JoshC.'s topic in General Discussion
It appears the Flipz sign is directly above the entrance for RAP. So either they've shut it off for today to ensure the sign is up securely / wait until they can fix it up more securely / awaiting H&S sign off, or it will have to be shut during the whole time the sign is up...

Hearing that the SRQ is also closed today? Which would be the first time since opening they haven't operated the SRQ. I wonder why? EDIT: RAP queue is closed, so they’re using the SRQ for RAP. Unsure why RAP is closed though.
