  1. Today
  2. I’ve learned today that apparently Hyperia has had some of its wheels replaced with nylon ones, resulting in the trains maintaining higher speeds for longer through the high points (and a shorter time to complete the circuit of course). With no sign of any reoccurrence of the valleying issues for several weeks now, could we finally be in the “business as usual” phase, with the ride running reliably and consistently? I guess it’s still too soon to say, but here’s hoping.
  3. I’m at the park on Tuesday. See if I can find anything out or see anything going on.
  4. I was hoping it was sign but as you said it was there Thursday then I thought maybe they won’t be testing it yet. Was the crane in the exact same place when you last seen it?
  5. I got a bit excited and thought that picture you sent was it testing lol
  6. Ah right, that’s interesting 😊
  7. That was there on Thursday when I went
  8. Hi Jax, there’s some kind of red machine there today and they have closed off all the ride area for now. I suppose it’s a great move forward but I’m clueless to what there actually doing. I feel like it won’t be too long until they’ll have her up and running. I’ve uploaded an image.
  9. I wouldn't be too sure. They just stick random dates there. What's the availability like after that?
  10. The app has one shot Fastrack available for Stealth from 1st June onwards - maybe hints at the expected timescale?
  11. Yesterday
  12. Anybody know the full list of tunes played in the Detonator queue line?
  13. Thanks Josh, great news to hear!
  14. Last week
  15. I did a Hyperia coaster climb this evening. There was some chatter when it was made live about the cost being expensive (£120). It is, no beating around the bush. But it is worth it. My experience was about 3hrs all in, and included lots of time spent scaling the ride, time spent in the console and time spent around the turnaround outside the station, with lots of opportunities for photos, fabulous hosts and a great vibe. Find attached a variety of photos (of me). I'll write a proper TPM article later.
  16. Good to see there's a bit of action going on (albeit small) but at least we know there's something going on.
  17. Hey all 😄 Does anybody happen to have a high-res copy of The Swarm’s triangle logo? (Or a clear photograph?)
  18. Ah glad to hear! That wasn’t there on Tuesday at all. The doors to the launch weren’t open either.
  19. Just to make it clear, Intamin have in no way stopped providing support for their Accelerators. Whilst it's true they don't offer the model any more (or at least, no one has considered doing so for over a decade), it in no way means they've washed their hands of it. Thorpe/Merlin and Intamin maintain a respectable working relationship, and that is also related to the current issue(s).
  20. Thanks, I'm probably guessing with Stealth that it's a quite big sophisticated part that's gone wrong maybe hence the crane unless it was for something to do with the track. At least we know that Thorpe won't be giving up on their ride though. I'm sure we all know that an LSM launch just isn't really anything quite like a hydraulic launch. I do prefer that massive g force
  21. Thanks again Jax, brilliant advice
  22. The crane yesterday was in the middle of the Stealth plaza facing towards the top hat, so it may well have been. I wouldn't be surprised if the support for these older models is more limited now but I'd be surprised if Intamin providing no support at all. You'd be right in saying that the part needs to be sourced elsewhere, but hopefully it shouldn't be too long now.
  23. Thanks Jax your super useful. So the crane yesterday may not of been relevant to Stealth? I know it's a very complex ride to work on and apparently Intamin won't support the current accelerator model so I'd imagine that Thrope are having a hard time at the moment. I guess it could be one reason to not to do business with Intamin in the future if that's the case. I definitely think they should support Thorpe since they manufactured the ride so it's a rather sad story. I could only think that the part they need could have to be custom made and then authorized by Intamin to be used on the ride which I guess is a long process.
  24. The accumulator issue was what closed it before (when it was closed on Passholder Day). The issue currently is to do with the launch system itself, and as far as we know right now, is currently waiting for a part to arrive so they can fit it. As well as that they'd also need time to test it thoroughly and make sure everything is ready for operation again. I'd imagine it'd be back open within the next 2 weeks, if not the end of the month. They may have it ready for May half term but your guess is as good as mine currently. Hope this helps
