For anyone going Saturday, The Passing has now sold out according to the TP site.
-
Per box yeah.... but if you work it out per person how most people would pay, £64 for 2 , a over night stay and breakfast seems pretty reasonable to me
-
Thorpe park have started the marketing for the "Crash pads" http://thorpepark.com/crashpad/ They have confirmed the Bar360 will be opening late and there will be "Evening entertainment with gigs, comedy, dvds & more" Looks like breakfast will be included too 2 day packages start from £64 per person
-
I wondered if this could be related, but then Stealth was one of the few rides thorpe actually managed to get working in February
-
Can understand why no X Sector obviously but abit disappointing they've not added to the line up to make up for the loss of attractions. Maybe the list will be updated closer to the date
-
Loggers leap cant be much below 50 ft? I hope we dont see anything like that!
-
I hope your right! Whilst the content of the stuff at thorpe is generally good (apart from it being hi pitched!) So much of the equipment is broken there are now huge dead parts of the park (Stealth, Colossus bridge) and then the odd things like this year they have made the dome / lost city one "zone" so the chart music plays on vortex / zodiac etc making it all seem abit fair groundy! And then I'm sure every ride I the park has an issue with its own PA in some way or another!

It was beta Sorry about the live feed, the internet on park was intermittent at best with the shear amount of people on park! And then my phone died -

Marc replied to Marc's topic in TPM 2012 Meets
If there is space that is fine Remember guys we are meeting at 1PM at the Stealth sitting rocks, for the tour we will be at Experiment 10 at 2:30 prompt. Please remember thorpe park have requested NO cameras in the maze, abuse of this rule will not be tolerated. For those unable to join us we will be launching a new feature - TPM LIVE - Keep upto date with images right from the meet here: http://thorpeparkmania.co.uk/page/live -
With the £99 for a room and 2 theme park tickets included, I would guess yes, there pretty much giving them away! But all the parks have been hit this year, I guess there thinking more long term

Not really the point I was making, I was more on about the terrible reliability / issues Saw before it was even handed over to the park and then the massive design flaws discovered once it had been! As I said, lets hope they've learnt from those mistakes.
-
Whilst I think they are to test the market, they will also help thorpe in the short term with the Club nights, opening a full scale hotel next year would be impossible, Snoozebox means they can provide accommodation for the club nights (which sell out each and every time) from next year and rake in 3 years or what ever of that whilst going ahead and building the full hotel if they feel its needed.

Alton towers get a Gerstlauer coaster Thorpe get a B&M... I know what I'd rather Back on topic though looks like a nice development for the park which should complement the existing resort well, I think id rather this than them just build another hotel.

Lets hope Gerstlauer have learnt from their mistakes with Saw, its interesting / strange how this happened to 2 coasters opening in the uk within 2 years of eachother! Do agree though, Th13teen for what it is, is a decent ride, but to be fair theres not many rides how which are not way over hyped!
-
How on earth can you say they have mucked up after just 3 Fright nights? Maybe we should wait till the end of the event, if it all goes wrong then ok, if theres no more than the normal then I think its safe to say they havent mucked up
-
I guess that makes Colossus the best coaster in the world till next year then?
-
Lets come back to this thread at the end of fright nights and see if your right? I trust management's choices in this matter and trust the parks security team to make sure I'm safe when I visit as a guest. Its not in the parks interests for people to get injured for them to save some money really is it?
-
Well its into its 4th day of being open.. Significantly more than "half a public cycle" The rides been sat there 18 weeks doing not much, I would expect it to have minor issues till been running properly for a couple of weeks tbh.

Fright Night Meet + Experiment 10 Tour - Saturday 20th October

2 Places are now available for anyone who wishes to join us -
Its funny, the BK sign over the entrance of the one in Canada Creek has come down and been replaced by a temporary one, it seems far to early to be starting things like that but odd all the same. I believe KFC signed a new contract with TP the year the others got rid of them, not sure about PH but ive heard its the most profitable one in europe?!
-
165 seconds is a fair bit longer than Saw isnt it? and that is actually impossible to hit the advertised 1200 (I believe Thorpe were not happy and Gerstlauer came in to try make it possible and they couldnt) and that gets around 1000pph.
-
You dont HAVE to pre-book, its just recommended in case the park hits capacity so you dont have a wasted trip. You can pay the £5 when you get there and the events tickets windows.
-
The foods good but there never as fast as the true "fast food" outlets, they will need to improve on this if they are to do this at Thorpe, especially as the burger king gets stupidly busy some days.
-
Thats not even possible? They have atleast 2 in the 2 consoles and somone to check bars.
