I thought it was part of an old tram / rail system which used to run through the park and was just adapted for theming the ride?

Its had them since day one, I remember back in 2005 when it rained they had huge covers for the paddles to try keep them as dry as possible, its odd how this dont seem to affect rush though.Its a shame but with all the above taken in to consideration, the ride cant have that long left, can it?

I beleave they are taken from the Thorpe Park app, which unfortuantly isnt the most reliable source of queue times as they are often last to get updated!

It wouldnt surprise me if Slammer dont last much longer, its had a terrible last 2 years with over a month of downtime each year, its slow to load, its not very popular and it seems to now shutdown each day just after lunch for "checks". Its hardly ideal for the park and if it has another bad year wouldnt be surprised in the slightest if it goes.

Its a problem around the whole park at the moment unfortunately

Cameras are not permitted on rides, dont try sneak them on as it is dangerous. Theres a reason these rules are there

So The Swarm, its quite weird to look back 3 years and think how happy we were regarding Saw, fast forward 3 years and Thorpe have delivered a ride which imo makes up for where Saw falls down.Firstly the theming, I dont buy the argument that the Marquee spoils the area, on that argument should they not look at removing Stealth / Tidal Wave / Depth Charge? Once youve crossed the bridge the area feels very secluded to me in a good way and its nice to see the park from a new angle again. Its clear alot of attention to detail has gone in here, the airplane is simply awsome, the fact they bought an actual full size airplane says it all, the church looks great from inside and out as do the other buildings across the area. I like the rides soundtrack too and also like the way it plays soundeffects as the ride goes through elements, it wasnt perfectly timed but I'm sure this will be tweaked over the coming weeks. As for the ride, I had never actually rode a wingrider before so wasnt too sure what to expect, but it being a B&M I knew I could expect a comfortable ride throughout knowing I wouldn't come off with a headache (I'm looking at you Saw). Ive rode it back left, back right, front right and a few times in the middle both sides. Back left I think is my personal preference, the first inversion is amazing being dragged through that high up in the air was quite an experience. Whilst off ride the ride looks slow and possibly abit short, I didnt feel either of these were an issue when on the ride, it was surprisingly forceful throughout when actually riding it and length wise it felt just right. Front was pretty awesome for the near miss elements too, especially that plane wing. Overall its the right ride for thorpe at the right time, its reridable, has a decent throughput what it will actually hit and I'm sure once its small teething issues are sorted it will be a very reliable ride! Looking forward to its big weekend and seeing how it goes!

The water effects which follow the train were also working but dont seem to be videoed anywhere!

I hope they fix the audio across the park, Colossus , entrance and wwtp tidal / stealth both sound hi-pitched and silly! (null)

I guess theres always a difference of opinion, id love somthing like that blasting out over swarms queue personally.

I was more getting at I dont see why people are moaning about something which very little details have been released about, but I guess normal within the theme park world really.

Maybe they could sing a song about The Swarm that would be cool

At the end of the day no one knows whats in store, there will for sure be more to it than the band.

So your judging it based on the one thing you know about it? How interesting..In fact, what is it worse compared to? Saw - We had a closed ride for the most of the day with a few actors, Stealth, Opened quietly with no real big deal, Inferno, had its premier event with a few bits of fire and a 3 hour queue, Colossus, nothing?So if were comparing to thorpes previous ride openings it already sounds better.

Nice to see open day for Swarm will be abit different to others!
