All ill say is when I saw the swing testing I have never seen such a mad rush (no pun intended) to a ride than I had yesterday. Unfortunately obviously they were all left disappointed.

More intresting than q line wood !Rush was testing a little today with swing b, people were at the top watching it. Lets hope its not to long.

Rush's slightly damaged footrest has been taken off, for repair I suspect. The fence has also been replaced and repaired, I didnt get a picture as I dont take pictures of planks of wood unfortunatly.

Thorpe have never proclaimed to be this amazing magical park though has it?And I agree alex, things like effects, reliablity should be good by defult but merlin have a huge monopoly over the uks theme parks meaning really they cant lose out at the moment.

What hasnt improved?Lets look at this year compared to last...Tidal wave has been given a much needed spur of life, boats have been refurbished, new seats, restraints, the splash pool has been totally repainted and all the rust blasted off the splash pool area.Colossus pit has been fixed up from the sorry mess it was and now looks great.Unreliable rides such as Stealth, Rush, Slammer and Detonator have had extensive work and are now overall pretty reliable.Nemesis inferno effects have been and are being worked on, the lava bark chippings have been replaced.Rumba rapids has had a lot of work, new effects, fixed effects etcPark music has been worked on, fixed and improved in places too.Park map has been totally redesigned and is free again.. Any more?

Thorpe are doing a hell of a lot better than they ever were, its these people who ENJOY the park and will visit, the gate figures show this. Same as, there was a time when my family went but I'm a big boy now and do things like theme parks all on my own! Id like to point out the people "fighting" had blow up banana's, honestly id like to see anyone stab you with a blow up toy. To you maybe yes. And so what, all parks tell you to report q jumping thorpe are just trying new ways to do so. Your no better than the q jumpers when idiots like you abuse and take the piss out of the service.

Thats the idea of the park, extreme thrill rides, and its what works for the park. I dont see your problem with the parks target audience, after all your in it too.. young adults. It just happens to be that most young adults are chavs or pikeys. This whole traveller stuff gets on my nerves, for example on saturday when you were on park what trouble did you have with them what didnt get sorted? Yes.. Chessington has pikeys visit too.. and just like thorpe they keep them selves to there selves and theres very little problems..Infact my friend who works at chessington was assaulted whilst at work last weekend, and I can assure you it wasnt a 12 year old kid. You will actually find yes it has changed, its moved a fair bit away from the "EXTREME RAWR THRILLS" I take it you wernt around in the 2003/2004 season, everything about the place was EXTREME THRILLS, the map, the website, the adverts EVERYTHING.

Looking back, Thorpe really was a pile of crap. I'm glad tussauds bought it when they did!

Slammer opened as planned today =]

Went to thorpe yesterday, was a good day outGot there EVENTUALLY at around 11:30ish, park was quite busy as expected, was nice weather too!Ride reliability seemed good, everything apart from Rush and Slammer was open, it was a nice change to see from stealth that the 2 intamins were the ones going strong and the b&m being the odd one out for once Did most things, with some help from fastrack too!Ride Count:Detonator 1Time Voyagers 1Samurai 1Fish 1Stealth 4Colossus 1Nemesis Inferno 2Rumba Rapids 1

I can assure you, all rides are tested in the mornings.

You cant spot everything, things such as hairline cracks would be very hard to look for in general maintenance unless it was somthing they were actually looking for. I have no doubt in the abilty of the Thorpe Park engneers nor of S&S to build rides.As soon as it opens ill be on it and wont think twice either.

Yes I know the ride was checked, engineering do these checks every morning from like 5:00am or somthing stupid, the checks engeneers carry out will be in guide to what s&s would recommend. Only then would the ride be green carded and handed over to Rides.
